Victory for Mark Steyn
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 10:44 AM
Read all the details here, and note that the weak-kneed anti-free speech police lacked anything resembling conviction.  Classic bullies: They melted away when confronted.  Bravo, Mark Steyn and Maclean's.

Trolls are Everywhere, I guess...
Anyway, huzzah for Mark Steyn! I've been praying for him throughout his ordeal.

'Lark...Wonder No More, Child..Blovie
Boy(PL) IS The Rag. :-)

Let's see, shall we...In Blovie World, an adulthood filled with longtime friendships, alliances and associations with Unrepentant Maoists, Screaming Fanatic Liberation Theologians of the Racist-America Hating kind and cool land deals with Arab-Chicagoan Grifters of the Rezco sort...AREN'T No big deals. BUT, now here's where it gets snicker provoking, 'Lark, a kick-butt, reformist, vastly popular Governor firing an uncooperative office holding hack is...what..? Oh, right: Breathtakingly Corrupt & Scandalous.

And there we have a look into the soon-to-be future if the affable, radical, PC-Police Approving Barry Hussein O. wins. Fun.

Would that all discourse be so civil..
Bryan writes:

"It's really interesting to me that being on the left side of things...I'm just completely unaware of some of these apparently prominent conservatives. If I didn't come here a lot, there's a lot I wouldn't be aware of in modern politics."

..what an honest and refreshing sentiment. It is hoped, irrespective of what eventuates, that a civil dialogue and exchange of opinion occurs instead of the contant harping that goes on.

You should take up reading Mark Steyn; he offers a witty and fresh perspective. After getting an idea of his style and thought, I am sure your recommendations of those on the left who write in a similar vein would be welcomed here.

For Those Unfamiliar With Steyn's Opera

May I recommend the classic, true story of Zimbabwe's Reverend Canaan Banana.

Not familiar with Mark...

But I'm glad he wasn't silenced. It's just not civilized for the government to silence a person because they say something they don't like.

As long as no one is instigating violence.

It's really interesting to me that being on the left side of things...I'm just completely unaware of some of these apparently prominent conservatives. If I didn't come here a lot, there's a lot I wouldn't be aware of in modern politics.

Cheers,

B.

What Gate is that again?
Memo to Liberal Idiot: does this refresh your memory or are you still suffering from selective amnesia? It is highly suggested that you wake up now or you will find yourself awakening to the Obama Marxist Liberal Idiots in charge of what used to be the United States. How would you like your Constitution and Bill of Rights shredded? One pass or two?

From Hillary's False Testimony by Byron York:

"When she learned in 1993 that there were "concerns of financial mismanagement and waste" in the White House Travel Office, Clinton writes, "I said to Chief of Staff Mack McLarty that if there were such problems, I hoped he would 'look into it.'"

According to Living History, that's when the investigative Dr Pepper machine geared up. After Clinton's "offhand comment," she writes, an audit by KPMG Peat Marwick discovered financial irregularities in the office. Then, "based on these findings, Mack and the White House Counsel's Office decided to fire the Travel Office staff and reorganize the department."

To hear her tell it, Clinton had almost nothing to do with any of it. But the independent counsel's report on Travelgate tells another story."

Good news
State of Missouri is taking all the illegally obtained voter registration acquired by ACORN to the FBI. Fantastic news for the sanctity of an honest election.

Has Obama come out and condemned what Acorn is doing? I doubt it.

And the liberals don't want to talk about character? Sad.

This Was Not Just Speech Police

This was (and still is) one of the institutional tools of jihad.

Good to see a rare victory on this all-too-effective and less-understood front.

PL Careful What You Wish For!
Let’s wait and see what comes of this. It appears that Branchflower is a partisan and lobbied hard to be charged with the investigation. This may well be a vendetta to get Sarah Palin after her upsetting the good old boy network up in Alaska. However, I will reserve judgment. I do appreciate your righteous indignation with this situation involving Saran Palin especially in light of similar scrutiny applied to your candidate. I will really feel genuinely bad if the RICO investigation into Acorn and its ties to the most merciful and others in the Chicago political machine strikes gold.

I would hate to think Mark would have to go another day with this dark cloud lingering over his life. :D
Sherry writes: Saturday, October, 11, 2008 11:04 AM
Hey patriotic idiot
Grow up and calm down. Go talk about Palin on your left-wing commie sites. Here, we like to talk about how Chris Dodd abused his power.

And yes, I do feel morally superior to anyone who writes with such juvenile flair. That would be you.
Patriotic Liberal writes: Saturday, October, 11, 2008 10:55 AM
Hey, are we gonna talk Palin?
Turns out she abuses her office. Some breath of fresh air that is. Not like we haven't seen THAT before. So what was it again that qualified her for national office? Why are you chumps so galvanized by the likes of her? Is it that you are stupid? or you have no judgment? I know: because your need to feel morally superior--and your appreciation for politicians that speak to this ignorant self-satisfaction--trumped your good sense. Nice. Well, you are really taking the country to the brink with this nonsense, putting Her at extreme risk. I mean, if Palin became President, game is over for our country. Game is over. And it is you clowns who are willing to risk that.
