The Moral Collapse of "Feminism"
Posted by: Carol Platt Liebau at 9:40 AM
Soledad O'Brien is asking McCain spokesman Nicole Wallace how Sarah Palin can consider herself a supporter of special needs children when she (allegedly) cut budget items related to them.  For O'Brien (who, incidentally has left young children at home in order to come to work), "support" is defined only as allocating taxpayer money to a person or cause.

Gloria Steinem proclaims Palin "the wrong woman."  Why?  She "shares nothing but a chromosome with Hillary Clinton."  Since when are some women of accomplishment "wrong" while others are right?  Keep this in mind: It all comes down to abortion rights for them.  And a woman who cradles her Down syndrome baby on stage -- showing that he's a blessing, not a "punishment" -- is an existential threat to the left-wing feminist movement.

With such overt hypocrisy, do any of the liberal feminists wonder why young woman are deserting their ranks in droves?

A warning:  The right may, today, be confident that America's regular people have concluded that Sarah Palin hit it out of the park last night.  But Governor Palin's adversaries in the media and Democrat ranks are working to re-write what she said, and how she said it -- to cast her as "mean" and "shrill" (thank you, Harry Reid) and "sarcastic."  Remember how, at the end of the Thomas hearings, a majority believed Justice Thomas, but a year after listening to the media, the majority believed Anita Hill?  This is not over.

And on that cheerful note, I'm off to DC to give a talk at the Best Friends Foundation annual summit and tape a TV show, so blogging will be light from me over the next couple days (I have trouble doing it remotely, for some reason).  I'll be checking in from time to time, to keep up with (what does Matt call it?) "the best team not on tv"?

Feminine delusion
Great, intelligent, accomplished women has always existed. Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi, Madame Curie, countless women of faith who were honored and praised by the males in their lives not because they burned their bras and left their families but because they did it ALL!!! Just read the Proverbs 31 incredible traits of a real woman.
Feminazis in this country have a heavy homosexual constituency, many atheits, God and people hating human beings like Margaret Sanger.
Palin is everyhting these pseudo feminists will never ever be: beautiful, intelligent, accomplished and most of all loved and admired by her husband and 5 children. Yes, we are different than males for a reason. We can multitask when males can only think linearly!
I will be raising Cain in Ohio and shouting from the rooftops about these gift from the RNC. A just in time solution to this year's disgraceful choice in the dem ticket.
They blew it by not putting Hillary on the ticket only because Michelle Obama is an unhappy black woman who would never share her glory with Hillary...
Game over, and this is the rest of the 2008 dem ticket.

Steinem
Steinem is now a married woman. Her feminazi credibility went down after that.

No parents at home
I am a woman and my husband works up north also. Todd is gone, not like an 8 hour day and he comes home, but weeks at a time. If he is always gone and she is always gone, then who is watching the children. I have no problem with women working, but if my daughter was pregnant and I had a special needs child, I would want me or my husband to be at home with them for a majority of the day not farmed out in daycare.

Forfeited
By their sexist and disgusting attacks on Governor Palin, the Democratic Party has officially forfeited any claim of exclusivity concerning the cause of equality between women and men. They are, in fact, coming very close to forfeiting any claim on that cause whatsoever.

I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR...!
The Feminists liked that song when it was popular - they identified with it! However, the Feminists do not, or have not, represented all women! I am one of the women they do not represent! I never claimed to be a part of their movement. Their movement is dead because the women of another generation cannot identify with their platform! We share some views - equal pay for equal work - respect - the opportunity to choose to work or stay home with our children. But we are also pro-life women. Those that believe in the sanctity of life from conception. We identify with Governor Palin. We understand her commitment to her family and her country! Many have said on the blogs that she is not Hillary ----- that is right ----- she is no Hillary ---- Governor Palin is so much more than Hillary. She is not of Washington - she has been out here in the heartland doing what she does best - representing everyday working people against the establishment. Hillary Clinton did not have the guts to stand up and speak up when she was dished by her candidate - instead she rolled over and did just what the man said for her to do. They are right - she is no Hillary! I have no doubt that Governor Palin will prove to the American public that she is just "the one" to be the candidate for all the people. She is just what President Elect McCain needed to complete the ticket and she is what the Republican party needed to see a winning team in November! She is the one...hear her roar!

Well Said, Fat Man
Incredible how this pack of female pirhanas are attacking the Barracuda.

It's not about feminism. It's about taking out Republicans by any means possible.

Left Wing Femminists

The problem is that the left wing femminists have sold out to the Democratic Party. Rather than staying true to their supposed cause, they became one with a single political party.

I Corinthians 6:16

"What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh."

Supposed femminists like Steinem and N.O.W. have become one with the Democratic Party. They are no longer femminists. They are simply partisan Democrats.

If it were not so, they would be applauding Palin right now. If it were not so, they would have pounced on Bill Clinton. They have done neither.

I Thought Gloria Steinem Was Dead
There's Nothing Like the Real Thing,...
...Baby.

Take that, you dang phony MSM, Beltway elites, overwrought anti-America academics stomping on flags, and those two phony styrofoam columns Andrea Mitchell and Sally Quinn.

Sure, Palin's vulernable on some stuff: Alaska's a big-time sanctuary state, they can balance their budget because they are rolling in oil dough.

But Andrea said, "Only uneducated women will vote for Palin." Well, here's a news flash from THIS woman, who has more formal education than Angria:

Go suck an egg, you witch!

We western conservative women have advanced degrees, run businesses, pay huge taxes, climb mountains, shoot guns, go off-roading with our 4-wheel drives, drive speed boats, write our own speeches and ghost write for others, rear a pack of kids, take casseroles to the needy and know the difference between normal people and you frickin' freaks on the left.

Don't be fooled...
...into thinking that mainstream feminism is about women per se. It's not; never has been. First and foremost, it's been a vehicle for advancing leftist politics. By the time this election is over, hopefully everyone will realize this.

Palin
If John McCain was to die in office as President of the US, I have no qualms about Mrs. Palin becoming President of the US. I think she could handle the worst of the worst dictators, thugs and terrorists in the world.

Oh, by the way, I think she shredded Obama to bits and bits. YOU GO GIRL!!

HYPOCRISY...
...Thy name is lefty, kommie, feminist Democrat.

You're no friend of working women, and you hate women who succeed by their own work and intelligence. As has always been the case, you hate truly succesful women of power.

Danger Barack Obama Danger!
Last night’s polling shows that, by a ten-to-one margin, voters believe reporters are trying to hurt Palin’s campaign rather than help. Republicans and unaffiliated voters strongly believe that a double standard is being applied to Palin because she is a woman. Democrats disagree. Perhaps most stunning is that, among unaffiliated voters, just 42% believe Obama has better experience than Palin to be President. Thirty-seven percent (37%) say Palin has the edge on experience. Again, most of the interviews for this survey were completed before Palin’s well-received speech last night.

I cannot believe
the Republican Party is behind Sarah Palin as she pushes aside the very dramatic needs of her Down's Syndrome infant to run for this grueling office. I agree with Dr. Laura on this - what will Sarah do when Israel or Iraq are in conflict and she's got a child who needs to be seen in an emergency room? One would HOPE that the child would be her priority, but watching this side show progress makes me doubt that very much.

While I thought Sarah spoke well last night, I still cringe when I think of that baby "on display" throughout. We are putting this child in the spotlight, while chastising the media for their focus on Palin's family. What is it we want here? If Trig is going to be used for sympathy's sake, and to illustration the beauty of pro-life, then the other side of that coin is going to be the issue of what her priorities are given this child's needs, and how she has so far scored near the bottom in regards to her commitment to family values.

Ray Charles was a special needs child
who brought pure joy to the masses through his music. If his mother had locked him away somewhere out of sight, no pun intened, it would have been our loss. And now his music lives on forever and for that I am grateful.

Gloria Steinem
I read her column this morning. She is a disgrace. She and her liberal friends are just jealous. They wish Hillary was Sara Palin. Compare: Sara is a self-made woman, Hillary rides the coat tails of her unfaithful husband; Sara fights her way to the top, Hillary bows out under pressure from the men of the DNC; Sara takes on the "good old boys", Hillary takes on "the women of Bill Clinton". I believe it is the other way around, Hillary only has one chromosone of Sara Palin! I wonder why Hillary would ever vote for any of the men who disgraced her and betrayed her this past year! She should step up and vote for the real woman.

Karen of Fort Worth! Proud to be a Palin supporter!
