Ahh, the uniforms of my youth.  Did anyone wear a Bill Fitch leisure suit?

Hugh, Speaking of team uniforms....
Tomorrow (Saturday the 6th), tradition will return to Los Angeles at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Except for the last 26 years, USC and UCLA have both worn their home jerseys going back to the 1930's when both teams shared the L.A. Coliseum as home field.

Those of us who grew up in LA remember very fondly the game's memorable moments, with USC in Cardinal & Gold, the UCLA Bruins in Blue & Gold. Whether it was Gary Beban to Kurt Altenberg in 1965 or USC's "23 Blast" in 1967 that started O.J.'s career of many people chasing after him (for a variety of reasons), or USC coaches John McKay & John Robinson, or UCLA coaches Tommy Prothro and Terry Donohue, the red and blue on the field is the way it was, and the way it should be.

Thanks to Pete Carroll for incurring the NCAA penalty of losing a time-out for his teams home jerseys, and thanks to Rick Neuheisel for agreeing to take a UCLA timeout at the opening kick-off to make it even.

Thanks for the memories.

Cavs are good..
..ain't no doubt about that. But Hugh, you are getting a reputation for being a reverse indicator. If you want your CLE sports teams to acquit themselves, try keeping the chest-thumping to a minimum. A little humility goes a long way, and Lord knows you have a lot to be humble about. Good luck to your Cavs, your Tribe, your Brownies, your Buckeyes. Good luck to all them, and the great state of Ohio. Just keep your head down and your manner modest and, who knows, you guys may win one..
