VP Announcement Leaks
Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 8:48 PM
The New York Times says Obama may be ready to announce his VP as early as tomorrow.

If all goes according to plan, the announcement will be made with text and e-mail messages to supporters early in the morning, in time to capture coverage on the morning news shows and take advantage of a full day’s news cycle," wrote reporters Adam Nagourney and Jeff Zeleny.

(That means I'll be sleeping next to my blackberry. Gotta get my text message from Barack!)

According to the Politico
, McCain will announce his VP on Friday, August 29 in the battleground state of Ohio---one day after Obama formally accepts the Democratic nomination for president in Denver. August 29 is also McCain's 72nd birthday.

The timing cannot be coincidental. McCain rolling out his VP on the 29th is sure to distract the media from obsessing over his age and take some of the afterglow away from Obama's historic nomination speech. Smooth.

man on street smarter than Obama

Obama could pick any man off the street :
and that person would be smarter, more competent, more experienced, more rational, more honest, and more mature than Obama is:

WORDS have not yet been written to describe how incompetent and dumber than utterly stupid Obama is:

Go easy on Phil, Joe
We should all give him our sympathy for such bitterness. I wonder what he'll do with all his spare time once the election is over--probably whine about President McCain not passing his personal conservative test by that point. Truly sad when a guy is obviously not an idiot can't see past his own rancorous feelings.

Anyway, I agree with Amanda--good move for the McCain Camp and a good day to pick.

Of course. Any thing to stop talk of
the seppuku Sen. Obama committed at Saddleback.

The Obama camp is going to accelerate their Veep announcement in attempt to stem talk of that disastrous performance Saturday night in Southern California.

Sorry Senator. While your Veep choice is much anticipated, nothing will efface the clumsy candidate you showed all Americans at Saddleback Church.

You can run with your running mate but you can't hide from 'slaughter at Saddleback' Senator Obama.

Defeatocons hope for Barack victory
Why not just admit it Phil, McCain is better than Obama. You can say it. You know it in your heart. You know it intellectually. The words are just bitter for you still.

And for a guy who is third party, you are really in no position to call anyone a RINO. Anyway, you are a Defeatocon.

Makes sense to me
Obama gets to pick whatever liberal he wants. McCain gets to pick from whoever is left. Should work out for both. I doubt Obama picks Feingold, Kennedy or Lieberman so they'll still be available. Let's hope. The Titanic has to stay afloat at least long enough for boarding and departure. Otherwise, all those RINOs will be around forever.
