... In fairness, he was, no doubt, tired.  But as Marc Ambinder notes, if John McCain made this mistake, the media would "be all up in his grill ..."

Maybe B. Hussain Obama merely had a moment of confusion when thinking about the "other" states:

There are, as a matter of fact, 57 member states in the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

Give this man a break -- for a split moment he just had the two organizations confused, i.e., the United States of America vs. the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

Just yesterday he made a sly remark about McCain losing his bearings? Is Barry O losing his?? But I guess it's okay for Obama because he is sooooo tired! But he's only 46 right?? He should be able to take it. There is a 60 year old woman out there working her *ss off and a 72 year old man doing the same. And its not just the media that hits the gaffe's, the campaigns do to. And I seem to remember CNN all over gaffe's he made in Irag.

McCain is making big gaffes everyday and I don't see the media reaming him for it. Other than the NYT, he's been treated pretty well, or ignored if anything.
