Elisabeth Hasselbeck on the Morning-After Pill on 'The View'

I forgot to link this yesterday after seeing it. Allah reminds me of it, and adds:

Admittedly, this is like linking a video of Adam Sandler holding forth on capital punishment. But it’s number one on YouTube right now under the header “Elisabeth Hasselbeck loses her mind!” and I thought you’d be interested in what passes for “losing one’s mind” these days.

This was just another example of how liberals attempt to set the rules for conversation. Anyone opposing their views is an extremist who is wildly ranting. The fact that Elizabeth attempted to calmly voice her opinion and was cut off repeatedly is completely ignored by Barbara Walters who proceeds to publicly castigate Ms. Hassleback. Barbara Walters also injects the old red herring about people who were raped, and not only raped but raped by their fathers as if this was one of the primary reasons the morning after pill would be taken. One of the other hosts even reduces the formula to a twelve year old who was raped, completely ignoring the fact that twelve year olds will not be allowed to get the pill over the counter under the new legislation.

This is just another example of the dishonesty of the left when it comes to discussing issues. The discussion was about whether the so called morning after pill should become an over the counter drug. Elizabeth Hassleback said that she felt it should not because it would then be used as a means of contraception and she felt that life begins as conception. She was immediately jumped on by the rest of the women. She was interupted, her statements were twisted and she was publicly spanked by Barbara Walters for being emotional. Ms. Walters also brought up the old, 'what if a woman was raped, and not only raped but raped by her father' scenerio as if that was the primary reason the morning after pill should be made available as an over the counter drug. One of the other panelists even said, "What if a twelve year old was raped by her father or uncle?", completely ignoring the fact that twelve year olds will still not be able to get the drug without a prescription even under the new legislation. When Ms. Hassleback tried to explain that she thought the drug should be reserved for extraordingary circumstances and not simply given out like candy she was shouted down by the other three. She was then accused of being too emotional by Barbara Walters. This was a textbook example of the methodology the left uses to stop any discussion they don't like.
