I am just waiting for the patriotic looneytoon character to tell us how the dems are going to fix the economy and when.... |
|
Well said, ma'am.
And you never had to mention that other recent corrupt dolt, Robert Torricelli (D), N.J. |
|
|
had campaigned for Owens in NY23, Hoffman would have won BIG! |
|
Marginalizing anything they don't like.
If Corzine was toast, why did BHO waste political capital on him? He knows how to throw people under the bus and will do so when it helps him look good. I doubt BHO took one for the team on purpose. He doesnt have the character for that. |
|
Once again showing your cluelessness.
SJA is right. It will be a jobless recovery. I have no desire to hire back laid-off people. There are too many strings that the govt is attaching to small biz owners. It'll be cheaper to just scale back and simplify, so why bother expanding? |
|
|
You have summed up Corzine's actions beautifully. The man was nothing more than a rich, arrogant idiot. |
|
Coop has been sucking up the kool-aid for far too long. The economy is a disaster.
New Jersey has seen just how much damage the tax and spend policies can do. Corzine in his arrogant manner shut down the state to force taxes to be raised. He raised the tolls on the turnpike and the parkway and then tried to institute tolls on most of the major roadways that people used to commute back and forth to work each day. He raised real estate taxes and he drove many businesses that produced good paying jobs out of the state. Yes these tax and spend policies, the same policies Obama believes in, did not work. New Jersey is in a great deal of trouble and the people know it. Obama will be seen as the same type of failed politician Corzine has been shown to be. Can't wait for the next election. Hope that New Jersey continues on this path to sanity. |
|
Corzine was just a poser who bought his NJ Senate seat then bought the governorship. Not this time. No he can't. After he won last time he punished the counties where he lost by cutting the amount of the school funds sent to Trenton by those counties and sending their funds to counties where he won redistribution). He upped the sales tax back to 7% (sales tax was started in NJ by the Democrat Brendon Byrne) and then took the homestead rebate money away from those who didn't vote for him (the hard working folks who had money -me.) So he upped the taxes and now he is out. His final assault on our liberty came when he recently signed the one gun a month bill... I figured if he was re-elected he would sign other rationing laws: one gallon of milk a day, one bag of potatoes, welcome to Cuba.
...All this from a guy too stupid to wear a seatbelt in a vehicle doing 80mph. Good riddence. |

i've got a piece of beachfront pacific coast property i can sell chickencoop in arizona .the dude is delusional |
|
O woes you.
Get some Prozac, and stay out of the way. |
|
In case you haven't heard this will probably be a jobless recovery and there is a very good chance that this will be a double dip recession. No more money for stimulus 2, no new jobs being created. People will have much less disposable income as they will have bigger tax burdens and China is getting tired of buying our debt. No bright future there.
If you really believe that these insane policies of taxing and spending will lead to recovery I have a great bridge I can sell you in Brooklyn. |
|
Party on..with your VA and NJ governor.
As the economy slowly revives after the decimation of last fall... Ford and GM selling cars again The laughably obsolete national power grid gets updated and a workabl healthcare reform plan get in place
the rinos dinos and rigid religious will be standing around with their fingers up their noses.
|
|
|
meant to say 3 years from now. |
|
Too bad your messiah went to such lengths to back Corzine the big loser. Just like Corzine was "toast" so will Obama be 3 years ago. Corzine came into NJ with the same policies that Obama touts. Now the Hopey Changey crowd that voted for Corzine realized that there is no hope with the kind of change these guys are pushing.
Sucks to be a lib today. |
|
|
|
New Jersey was absolutely a slap in the face to Obama. As I previously said Corzine won four years ago on basically the very same policies that Obama touts now. Well four years later we see just how badly those policies worked in New Jersey. Another big similarity was the arrogance that Corzine has shown over these past four years. Obama shows this same arrogance. No real interest in what the people want only interest in their own ideology.
Yesterday was a good day in this country. |
|
Celebrate celebrate..dance to the music..
Big deal. Corzine was toast, anyway.
|

This schmoe scribbles,
"Did we enlarge the deficit? Darn straight. If we hadn't, you would be standing in a breadline right now. America would be at 40% unemployment."
NO PROOF TO THAT NONSENSE----AT ALL. None.
It just rolls off her tongue as every other bromide does. The fact is, there is NO proof that our economy would have resembled the "Great Depression", as Pathetic Liberal would have you believe. Makes for a good Liberal narrative though, doncha' think? |
|
...to campaign for New Jersey's corrupt governor.
Now, he is acting as if he did not even know the polls were open last night. Official word has it he was watching hood rats, er, basketball last night. Fascinating how quick that perspective turned.
One more thought. It seems this "economy thing" is a bit more significant than what the administration and Legacy media has been leading everyone to believe. Let's see, what was that made-famous comment by, James Carville? Oh yeah, "It's the economy, STUPID".
Both Jon Corrupt-zine and Creep Deeds decided that the economy was not the issue, George Bush was. And that is what they focused their HATE, er, campaign efforts on.
Listen up, Barack Obama. All of that persistent trash-talk and blame-Bush rhetoric you remain hellbent on fostering? KEEP IT UP. Let us keep hearing how you inherited everything. All of that Hope-N-Change radical readjusting you are doing to our country----yeah, keep blaming that stuff on Bush. It's playing well and will continue to. |
|
Pathetic Lib has no idea how big the loss for Corzine really is. Corzine won in New Jersey on the very same policies that Obama ran on. Four years later the people of New Jersey, a heavily democratic state, realized that these policies are a complete failure. People of New Jersey see their job market shrinking, their taxes going sky high and businesses and people leaving the state on a steady basis. what a difference 4 years has made and not for the good.
Four years from now people in this country will face what the residents of New Jersey faced. These tax and spend policies do not work. They also realized that an arrogant man who does not really care what is important to the people will only survive for so long. The signs all over New Jersey had Obama's name listed first and then Corzine underneath. The Obama factor did not work. It is clear that New Jersey voters are no longer so enamored with the Messiah. This win was big and no one can spin it otherwise.
|
|
You can do your "Baghdad Bob" imitation all you want, but the fact remains that the Republicans took you Dems to the woodshed last night.
Suck it, loser. |
|
New Jersey and Virginia each have relatively large numbers of electoral votes (15 NJ; 13 V). It is not insignificant that both of these important states went from being Democrat Blue States to Republican Red. That's way more important than what happened anywhere else.
How many MORE states has Obama lost in just 1 year?
That's the million dollar question.
I suspect these 2 aren't the only ones he'll lose for the Democrats by the time the 2010 National elections roll around.
|
|
The most important thing to note about what took place tonight is that 2 states with a significant number of electoral college votes (NJ-15; V-13) just went from being Blue states to Red states...Obama losing both, only 1 year after having won them. That, and Obama's own statement on the significance of NJ is what definitely makes this a referendum on the Obama failed first year as president.
As evidence of the rejection of Obama by the voters, esp. in NJ, this story was carried by MSNBC on Sunday during Obama's 11th hour rallies for Corzine in NJ:
CAMDEN, N.J. - In a final campaign swing on behalf of the only governor seeking re-election this fall, President Barack Obama on Sunday pitched Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine's bid as a key component for the White House to make good on its political promises.
"He's one of the best partners I have in the White House. We work together," Obama said. "We know our work is far from over."
Obama drew 6,500 people at a rally in Camden and another 11,000 later in Newark, according to White House estimates. He urged supporters to work hard to give Corzine another term in office so he can work with Washington to help repair a brittle economy. A Corzine loss would be seen as a political embarrassment for the White House." __________________________________________
There isn't any way they would have admitted this had they not really thought Obama's appearances could put Corzine over the top. Knowing that the White House and their propaganda arm in the Network News organizations will try to downplay tonight's results, I'm scanning all the archival evidence I can, proving just how important (and how crushing) a defeat this was for Obamaism

Very, very, verrrry BIG STUFF!
The Bamma, in the manly Beta-Male Mode which comes sooooo natural to him, told his sleazy errand boys to announce that he was watching basketball.
Full Disclosure: Yep, Your Majesty, you watched the game from that A-Bomb crouch under the coffee table.
Lucky us. Commander-in-Chief. Yep, Lucky Us! |

I'll give credit where credit is do. At least you are not running away like the usual suspects on the site.
You're still a misguided confused idiot with any clue as to what happened in this election but you are showing some stones by coming in.
Good for you!! |
|
Really? and who bought the last Trillion plus that flooded the market in the last few short months?
You are clueless to world economics. And its clear you don't get math either... Watch some CCTV and see what they think about us.
Funny, your side (including you) marginalized the elections as not significant. Yet you have reason to celebrate because of one confused district in NY? And you live in CA with no ties to NY (you said you were 4th gen once). Give the Mrs a kiss for us for the governorships that are getting back on track. |
|
She was her own worst enemy. Baiting her hatred out the last few days got her ejected?
Lesson learned (again in life); Reflect the energy like a mirror and it will eventually implode if its unhealthy. |
|
those bonds were sold to the Chinese during the Bush years. That was the Bush model: American households and businesses borrow from the Chinese to finance their consumption. Boomer "conservatism" in action. Do the Chinese own us? if so, i suggest you look in the mirror for the reason why..
we can discuss the economics some other time, as we have before. i hear Mrs. PL calling. Probably wants a celebratory smooch for this hard night turned triumphant!! |
|
Did we enlarge the deficit?
No, you grew it exponentially. Do you understand math enough to know how bad that is?
You want to fix the economy? Stop believing in the new religion of Goracle. Drill the Dakotas and build Gen5 power plants, and sell the energy to the world.
Welcome to Chimerica. You're entitlement mentality is going to kill the thread of self reliance that we are hanging on.
Offer a solution Cliffy. Otherwise buy a round of beer. |

We own the fix on the economy?...really? How is that? Where are the jobs coming from besides govt (that relies on private taxes to exist)?
China owns our collective a-ses(ts). And as long as Dems want to entitle everyone, it will only get worse. And somehow you have no issue with enslaving your children more?
Dose is right, off the cliff with the women of congress.Did ya catch the 'comment of the day' a few posts ago about the healthcare bill?
|

here's a hint for you: next time you are at war, don't cut taxes.
you boobz were handed a major league surplus and look what you did with it. Drove our country into the ground. Everyone knows the story. Now all of a sudden you are supposedly deficit hawks. After a generation of borrow-and-spend fiscal policies.
You must think people are fools--like the past didn't happen.
Did we enlarge the deficit? Darn straight. If we hadn't, you would be standing in a breadline right now. America would be at 40% unemployment.
Will we fix the deficit? Of course we will. We Dems are the grownup party. We hold to a responsible economic perspective. You clowns are the chumps who believe in voodoo, magical thinking, and free lunches. |

he's a jerk. and he did run a nasty campaign. good riddance to bad trash.
gotta keep doing the touchdown dance on NY-23, though. THAT is the story of the night. |
|
well WTF are you guys waiting for, fix it already....
Let me give you a hint, racking up a larger deficit in less than a year than the entire 230 year history of the United States is not a good start.... |
|
So good to see that $28 mill of personal money cannot buy an election. 3X what Christie spent. How much of Soros money goes to corrupt our electoral process? And there was fraud in absentee ballots and sneaky phone calls. Any deflections Democrats put on what has happened is just hopeful spin. I would not go to a State, like Obama and Biden did, and then act like the results were insignificant. More dishonesty. I can only hope that the health bill and cap and trade are not passed. The health bill costs are underestimated, as were all gov. program projections, in the past. Only 2% of our population would have benefited and the rest hurt. Check how much a trillion is. Insanity. |
|

um, sorry. We own the FIX of the economy. YOU own the sorry state of the economy. People aren't stupid. |

and pray that the republicans will act as Americans and not betray the COnstitution no matter how much 'We the People' whine! |

Has been watching CNN tonight....LOL
Plain and simple, "It's the economy stupid"...we are having a jobless dead cat bounce improvement and the dems own the current economy....pass healthcare and cap and trade and the liberals will be in the wilderness for years to come...I wonder if they will be smart enough to put the brakes on before they drive over that cliff....Pelosi and Reid the new Thelma and Louise.... |
|
VA and NJ were local events. No big deal. Zero national implications. Exits said as much.
Corzine, the Governor from Goldman, had REALLY worn out his welcome. It is amazing Christie won by a narrow a margin as he did. And whats-his-face in VA ran a solid, positive campaign to win. He evaded you guys and your stupid themes--instead choosing to act like a responsible adult. It paid off. We won't be seeing such campaigns too often from this buffoonish generation of Reeps.
Speaking of, howzabout NY-23? that's another matter. THAT is indicative. Don't believe a Dem has won there in 150 years. yikes. nice job, teabaggers. |

Where is big shot democrat insider, bob munck? Gettin' some insider info on the DC to Boston shuttle. Where are all the leftists?
Conservatives love barry obama, he's our "messiah"! |
|
|
He's our "messiah"! All together now, "yes we can, yes we can, yes we can, yes we can, yes we can" and we did, and we did, and we did, and we did.......Conservatives love barack obama, and if he's wasn't born in the USA, well then, i will personally swear that was and he's as American as apple pie, and Frank Marshall Davis. barack obama was born in the USA, he was born in the USA, born in the USA, born in the USA......yes he was.....Conservatives love barry obama, we do... |

Christie is a great example for what Colorado voters can expect next year. Governor Owens needs to get his walking papers, and so does Bennet his appointed Obama voter.
These americans who think they can spend our future without any consequences need to be VOTED OUT.
We the people - are STILL IN CHARGE, even when the leaders in D.C don't think so. |
