Smearing McCain?
Posted by:

It's hard to tell for certain if these
sign-snatchers
are really from the Romney campaign.
The truth is it could be Romney supporters -- McCain supporters -- or more devious: A 3rd campaign trying to set-up Romney and/or McCain ...
Regardless, it's tasteless. And there is no doubt this the will get nastier as Tuesday approaches.
Jonathan Martin
reports that anti-McCain fliers are reportedly showing up at ATMs around New Hampshire ...
In 2000, McCain endured some extremely harsh and unfair attacks in South Carolina. There are enough legitimate issues to attack him on that there is no need to stoop to attacking this American hero on his age.

ABC 5 Boston
One of the people on youtube said they confirmed with ABC 5 Boston that they were the ones filming the McCain signs being replaced by Romney signs. They didn't specify who or why, though. And their site says nothing about it. So who did it and why? What I do know is that the people are fully aware that they're being filmed from multiple angles. For anyone to actually "steal" in front of a camera like that is highly improbable. If there's any dirty work here it's someone trying to make Romney look bad.
I wouldn't attack McCain on his age, btw, personally after watching his performance Saturday I think he needs to grow up.

"The same people that were bashing the war hero Kerry 4 years ago for being to liberal are now filing in behind Mccain."
And those who protested loudest against Clinton's extramarital activities are now filing behind Giuliani.

War hero or not
McCain isn't going to be able to raise money outside of his corporate bundler buddies. This just shows how entrenched he is to the Washington insider crowd. Tom Colburn has been the real warrior against pork barrel in Washinton while McCain has been an absentee senator. Of all the years in the senate was Mccain's signature CONSERVATIVE issue? I can't think of any. Most of his co-sponsered bills have been with democrats. I'm tried of seeing that just because he's war hero he should get a pass on everything else. The same people that were bashing the war hero Kerry 4 years ago for being to liberal are now filing in behind Mccain.
Now the Huckster has jumped on the close Gitmo condemn waterboarding crowd.Has this become nothing but a personality contest?

This is article is full of victim
politics.
Unless you've got a video tape of Mitt or Huckabee or McCain doing these deeds personally, I think reporting on this as if it might be a representation of the candidates is just immature.
These are all grown up men but they are not omnipotent and surely can't control fired up supporters everywhere. They can denounce it I guess but why give the silly pranks credence.
Minutia hyperbole is something I think the media should try to not get caught up in.

This is, like, totally normal
EVERYBODY who works for a campaign does this. When Abraham Lincoln ran for office, I'm sure his supporters pulled up Douglas' signs.
The fact they they knowingly videotaped themselves is suspicious. Are they really Romney supporters, or are they some other campaign trying to make Romney's supporters look like dirty skunks?
It's a hilarious video, though.

McCains oath of office
Was I the only one who noticed McCains recounting of taking his oath of office as a Navy Cadet. It was in response to the question about what his principles were. He said something to the effect that they are the same as the day he placed his hand on the bible and was sworn in as a Navy cadet. He then recounts his oath, promising to protect...this great nation... NOTHING about the constitution.
This explains McCain-Feingold and the rest of his assaults on our most sacred treasure.
