What Does Joe Know? What Was He Trying To Tell Obama's Supporters?

Senator Joseph Biden made remarks yesterday which should be the focus of the American electorate for the next two weeks (when they aren't considering the implications of Senator Obama's desire to "spread the wealth around," and the reliability of Senator Obama's promises measured against his spectacularly broken pledge to accept public financing.) Here's a detailed report from ABC on what Biden said at a Seattle fundraiser Sunday:
"Mark my words," the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."
"I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate," Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. "And he's gonna need help. And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not financially to help him - we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right."
Not only will the next administration have to deal with foreign affairs issues, Biden warned, but also with the current economic crisis.
"Gird your loins," Biden told the crowd. "We're gonna win with your help, God willing, we're gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It's like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy."
The Delaware lawmaker managed to rake in an estimated $1 million total from his two money hauls at the downtown Sheraton, the same hotel where four years ago Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., clinched the Democratic nomination. Despite warning about the difficulties the next administration will face, Biden said the Democratic ticket is equipped to meet the challenges head on.
"I've forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know, so I'm not being falsely humble with you. I think I can be value added, but this guy has it," the Senate Foreign Relations chairman said of Obama. "This guy has it. But he's gonna need your help. Because I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, 'Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?' We're gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I'm asking you now, I'm asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you're going to have to reinforce us."
"There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, 'Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don't know about that decision'," Biden continued. "Because if you think the decision is sound when they're made, which I believe you will when they're made, they're not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they're popular, they're probably not sound."
Biden emphasized that the mountainous Afghanistan-Pakistan border is of particular concern, with Osama bin Laden "alive and well" and Pakistan "bristling with nuclear weapons."
"You literally can see what these kids are up against, our kids in that region," Biden said in recalling when his helicopter was forced down due to a snowstorm there. "The place is crawling with al Qaeda. And it's real."
"We do not have the military capacity, nor have we ever, quite frankly, in the last 20 years, to dictate outcomes," he cautioned. "It's so much more important than that. It's so much more complicated than that. And Barack gets it."
After speaking for just over a quarter of an hour, Biden noticed the media presence in the back of the small ballroom.
"I probably shouldn't have said all this because it dawned on me that the press is here," he joked.
"All kidding aside, these guys have left us in a God-awful place," he then said of the Bush regime, promptly wrapping up his remarks. "We have the ability to straighten it out. It's gonna take a little bit of time, so I ask you to stay with us. Stay with us."
Translating Joe Biden is sometimes impossible, but not these remarks. Senator Biden has been receiving the sorts of briefings that nominees receive, and he's been to the sort of meetings where our allies talk candidly of the gathering storm they see coming closer.
And Biden suspects that Obama will react to the coming crisis in a way that demoralizes the country and which shatters public confidence in Obama.
Biden dismisses the ability of the American military to deal with far flung threats, tells the audience "Mark my words," and then preemptively implores them to "be prepared to stick with us," after telling them "we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him."
The most obvious interpretation of this ramble is that an Iran-Israel confrontation is coming, and that if Obama is president, America will sit it out with, at best, words that do nothing to support Israel or deter Iran.
Mark his words indeed. Last week I interviewed Victor Davis Hanson, and this exchange was crucial:
HH: How will be different if we select McCain than if we select Obama vis-?-vis Iran and Israel? Will the path of history be different, Victor Hanson, in your assessment depending on the outcome of this? Or is the confrontation coming regardless of who we send in?
VDH: Well, the difference is it’s easy to voice cheap rhetoric, as we saw in the debate last night. It’s easy to say, as Obama says, it’s a game-changer if Iran were to get a nuclear device. What does that mean, a game-changer? That’s intolerable. What he’s not telling you is that if I choose to make sure that they don’t have a nuclear device, then that means that basically the United States is going to have to impose an embargo or a Naval blockade because the Europeans will still try to profit to the 11th hour, or even a military strike. I, Barack Obama, must be hated by people in Berlin. There’s no more Victory Column great extravaganzas for me. There’s no more fawning interviews with Der Spiegel. It’s going to be hatred from those people. I’m going to be a unilateralist pre-empter, and I’m going to do that, and all the people in the Muslim world and the Arab world that love me and fawn over me are going to hate me as worse than you know what. Okay, I’m willing to do that for a principle. Do you think he’s going to be willing to do that, or John McCain? I’m sorry, but I don’t think that all of that cheap rhetoric about invading Pakistan and a game-changer in Iran is anything other than rhetoric, because I think the problem with Obama is he’s bought into the idea of Vero Possumus, the new presidential seal that he’s promulgating, that the seas are going to cease to rise, that the planet won’t heat up, this is the change that we’ve been waiting for. And he really believe in this Messianic sense that people love him for himself. And he’s not going to be willing to give up that easily.
Hanson knows what Joe Biden almost bluntly declared and certainly implied: A President Obama will blink when Iran threatens Israel by approaching the nuclear tripwire. A President Obama will seek to force Israel to live with Iran as a nuclear power capable of either striking Israel or shipping to Hezbollah the means of threatening the very existence of the Jewish state, and the supporters of Israel in the U.S. will be stunned and then angry.
That wouldn't happen under a President McCain.
When even Joe Biden tells you what is going to happen under a President Obama, there's no way to deny the reality of the defeatism and retreat represented by a vote for Obama-Biden.
There's a reason why the Obama campaign has tried to silence the debate within the American Jewish community. Any sustained conversation about what is going to happen in 2009 drives serious voters to John McCain.
Joe Biden knows what's ahead if Obama wins. Let's hope that voters are paying attention.

Don't you think other countries are going to take Biden's prediction and run with it, even if they weren't planning to attack in six months? Why not, right?! It's a rousing game of "Time to test the new president." Everyone wants in on it. A White House full of chatty liberal illuminati politicians is a ready target. |
Joe Biden has been around Barak Obama long enough to know him well by now. He knows what is going to happen. Obama is beholden to all of his Arab contributors. Kadafi will tell you that they are the ones who are sending in all that money. In 6 months he will give them their first Planned installment. It is not the American contributors that he is beholden to, they will just have to stand by him on this. It will be a "generated" insident code word for planned. Biden knows what the planned insident will be and he knows the response. Pro Arab This will not set well w/the American people, but Obama will have a good Smooth Over. Just hang in there!!!! Perhaps Joe Biden is getting cold feet and does not want to be a part of this.... so he is trying to throw the election before it is too late. Biden, the ultimate patriot??? We can hope!!! Why have they muzzled him?
He is telegraphing to the American people vote McCain or you will soon be sorry.

"We're gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I'm asking you now, I'm asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you're going to have to reinforce us."
What is Biden talking about? Have your say and fact-check 1000s of quotes at http://www.ameritocracy.com |
Keep in mind that Zogby openly stomps on his data after he gets it. At least he is open about the biases he creates and he often changes methods to suit his purposes. He can always change his methods just before the election and claim that the undecideds broke to McCain.
I would watch RAS and Gallup Trad. McCain has a hill to climb. Further, he needs a big game changing break and he needs it now. |
I love Biden. He is the best gift the Reps ever got. He just keeps on giving and giving. Obama was so brilliant to choose him as VP. |
If McCain is down 10 points going into the last week, the Bush Admin should think about giving Israel the green light to hit Iran. McCain will have nothing to lose at that point and shifting the focus to a major foreign policy crisis may help McCain.
If McCain loses anyway then Obama will inherit 3 wars, $15 gas, a tanked stock market and a major global crisis. Sooner or later Iran has to be dealt with and it would be better for Bush to manage that for the first couple of months. |
A new AP poll has McCain even with Obama, both are about 44%.
The poll has a large sample and reflects the last debate Thur-Monday data. Note that this poll does not press leaners hard to choose a candidate.
Many of the other polls are really pushing the leaners. The poll shows a big Obama lead among adults and reg voters but not among likely voters.
AP tends to have some Dem bias.
This is really good news as this poll does not include effects from the Biden comment.
The methods of each poll must be looked at carefully before you drink the results. Pew (perhaps the most biased Dem Poll) has Obama up big.
I would like to see a shift in the Gallup Trad and the ARG Polls before I get real excited. They are very sensitive to shifts.

By agreeing to invade a country that didn't attack us and then staying there forever and bankrupt the country he's in. Osama is laughing every day.
I will go with the other guy this time. Not the old guy with a score to settle. |
that when Obama waves the white flag of surrender we're supposed to "stand behind him?" Will that protect us from his disasterous decision?
I wonder how much the Jewish voters will question their vote for Obama when he brushes aside the long term alliance between the US and Israel? |
but his blunders tell us so much more than he-or BO- want us to know. Thank heavens he is as dumb as he is. There might actually be some out there who haven't given much thought to the consequences of an Obummer presidency.
And this is one of the biggest. Iran threatens Israel, Russia is threatening everyone and playing with Chavez the Pig in our own hemisphere. The problem here is that most other countries, and their leaders, watch CNN, and THEY believe what they are being told by that network- that Obummer is a shoe-in and that the election is already over. Just watching them prepping for their own party should be enough to make normal people in THIS country nervous.
I can feel fall in the air- very invigorating- and a McCain landslide- even better! |
Poll of those in military service Very Interesting especially if you were in the US Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marines . (Of course you will never see this in any Media Papers)Army Times Poll on Presidential Race
In case you missed this week's issue of the Army Times here are the results of the Army Times' poll of Military personnel re the election (in percent): McCain Obama Overall 68 23 Army 68 23 Navy 69 24 Air Force 67 24 Marines 75   ; 18 Retirees 72 20 White Non-Hispanic 76 17 Hispanic 63 27 Black/African-American 12 & nbsp; 79
(hmmmmmmmm I am sure it has nothing to do with race though) Enlisted 67 24 Officers 70 22
Somehow I missed seeing this in the New York Times. Of course it's not in my daily reading. Reason this was not in the Times is because they do not print signicant news. Especially when it doesn't support their leftist political agenda !
I haven't seen this in the Washington Post either! Oh well, it's just as well...they are nothing but a "carbon copy" of the "leftists" at the N.Y. Times. They'd do well to just be "a little honest" (na) and just change their name to Pravda! |

It is sad to see obvious hysteria in these posts. almost a 10 point lead in a poll 2 weeks before an election means landslide? Why is it you post this crap on an article that has nothing to do with your advertisement? The obvious thing for people with nothing Really to say to do is call the opposition names. youre wrong cause... cause your a poopy head! thats all i hear outta you people. you dont know how to react to such horrible news about your VP pick, that all you can do is mudsling back.
You are in denial and it's sad cause you are still going to vote for these snake oil salesmen |
Zogby has Obama up by over 10 now. Can you spell L A N D S L I D E?
McCain has run a bad campaign. He picked the biggest airhead he could find who reads well and looks good on camera. Petty much, that's it for her. She has set women back 50 years with her winking and pouty faceing. (oh, I'm a conservative woman, btw). Motherhood has taken backburners with her, and we put her on a pedastal because she did not abort? Same with pretty much most of the women in the country! Duh.
We've turned into the party of the stupid and low standards expectations. We had someone bright, smart and could speak in front of any crowd. But some of you (especially here on TH) just could not vote for a LDS man. Yet, you'll gladly put your vote on two people who both cheated on their spouses, have OK'd teen sex, Unwedmotherhood is now in style and flaunted in our faces and hey, doggonne it, he's droppin' out of high school to support his baby. (are we sure it's his? I'd want a DNA test, if I were him).
The Presidency and Vice Presidency is not a fashion show/beauty contest. It's serious stuff. Next time, we'll take it a lot more seriously and nominate someone (REGARDLESS of his/her religion) that can take the party back into the 21st century.
McCain failed. His gimmicy Barbie failed. Now, we have 4 years of Obama. I voted - for Obama - yesterday, to to make sure MY vote counted and we can get these two incompentents off the national stage quicker. |
McCain failed his test by saying the fundamentals of our economy are strong. Failed during the campaign....he'll fail during the presidency. Biggest failures... Supporting Bush 90% of the time, Supporting the Iraq War, Supporting the Bail Out (hypocrite), Picking SARAH McFlailin' Palin for VP (waste of space)and Running the worst campaign in 40 years! Obama/Biden 2008 Untested and EXTREMELY SMART!!!!!!!!
Correctio to "Unlike, McCain, he will react on the first impulse - he will methodically go through the process"
He will NOT react on the first impulse...(my typing is not the best, as you can see) |
the writer says "And Biden suspects that Obama will react to the coming crisis in a way that demoralizes the country and which shatters public confidence in Obama."
OBJECTION! Unless, the writer has extrasensory perception (ESP) he has no way of knowing what Biden "suspects".
When a crisis happens, I firmly believe Obama will have the wisdom and thoughtfulness to do what is best for our nation. Unlike, McCain, he will react on the first impulse - he will methodically go through the process, consult with his advisors and make the best and safest decision for our country. He has shown to the American people that he thinks everything through, is not impulsive and is more likely to listen to his advisors and make a decision based on his opinion and his cabinet's, unlike McCain, who thinks he knows everything and has nothing to learn. He's not a hothead, does not make decisions based on his emotions at the moment. Biden is simply stating that, most likely, he will be tested as would any new President, and he will be ready for it. Republicans will extrapolate and put a negative spin on anything regarding Obama, no matter the intention. It's what one does when one is losing.

To paraphrase Joe "He has forgotten more than he knows". The biggest thing Joe does not know tho is; keep mouth shut until Nov 5th. |
and jealous hag, Sarah Palin's popularity and success are driving her nuts, after she failed miserably in her own attempt to run.
Obama threatened to invade Pakistan without their permission and the leader of Pakistan wanted to hold Palin's hand in a picture. I'd feel better with her in there with McCain, nobody has to test his strength and determination and she has a winning and direct personality. We might pay a heavy price if Obama gets in there. Even his VP pick is warning us it could get ugly.
LISTEN!!!
I also think it was better for Muslims in Iraq to reject Al Queda on their own, weakening them like that is humiliating and they are falling apart. The Surge did that, thanks to JOHN MCCAIN. |
Obama is not up to the job and he can't be trusted. |
China asserts "we're first in line for oil" say by backing an Iranian attack on Isreal. The One concedes. Oil prices soar as China exerts more influence on world oil distribution. U.S. gasoline prices soar, say $6-10/gallon. The One and Biden say "stay with us. The U.S. needs to reduce dependency on foreign supply", implements rationing. One could go on and on..... |
Think Elian Gonzalez, then go back to the question you asked. It's been done, brutally to a scared 6 year old child on orders from Clinton stooge Janet Reno, who was only doing her marxist duty to Fidel and the Clintons.
Think Waco..that's all we need to know, these marxist goons fools insist on electing have no respect for the Constitution, our exceptional heritage. The difference between the former marxists (who passed on Osama allowing 3000 people to be crushed and incinerated on Bush's watch) is that Barack Hussein Obama is a more indoctrinated marxist with ties to our enemies. The clintons, while marxist were more interested in growing their own personal fortunes by hook or by CROOK! |
Biden is an 'inverted human'. His inside (sub-conscious) is on the outside.
He actually blurts out those psychotic thoughts we sometimes have while drunk, high, or nearing a total nervous breakdown.
Biden is actually saying... "Don't worry voters, I got you covered. I'll use my superior White intellect if a crisis arises."
This Biden fella is a total Bigot. Thinking of himself as the superior White-Knight to what he sees as inferior capability, Obama.
I'm more fearful of Biden than of Obama. |
biden just signled isreal that obama and biden are liars who are not with isreal at all so now they will , or should, get the green light from bush, but either wat, I dont think isreal is a kool-aide drinking obama mania country so they will take iran out now, as they should and what ever turmoil results in the region you can blame obama and biden now, its they who sent the signel and its they who are IDIOTS.At least Biden is so stupid that he told everyone just how stupid he is,now other countries will do what they need to without relying on obama or biden, and I suggest everyone here do the same, realize you cant rely on either of them for ANYTHING but TAXES AND REDISTRUBTING YOUR WEALTH and FREE HANDOUTS FOR ALL WHO ASK , THEY DONT CARE ITS YOUR MONEY ANYWAY. |
It's crazy to not believe that Biden just made a major mistake. If he didn't make a mistake then why has he refused any interviews with the media. He won't even talk to people on the campaign trail and hurridly leaves to get into his car. WHY because it's true that we will get tested with a new president and history proves it and Obama is going to make mistakes and we will end up in war and it will be the same 8 years of Bush having Obama, except he is not experienced to handle the situation. Voting Obama means voting disaster. |
facing a crisis and making tough decisions scares me to death. He has made enough "boneheaded" decisions about his dealings with Rezko, Ayers, Wright...I don't need him being a bonehead with Achmedenijad!
My brother-in-law serves our country, as have most of the men in my family. None of them support Barack Obama.
Jihadist web sites are tracking the election and are very excited about the "disintegration" of America. What does Biden know? |
God help us all if Obama wins. Apocalypse will not be far behind. I am thankful to old faithful Joe, Joe Bident for speaking the truth . I hope the voters will hear him. |
My office is in a strip mall. At the end of the mall resides an Army Recruiting Center. I speak with the soldiers/recruiters all the time. The commander was telling me that recruitment has been way down in the past month, after a big surge in September. New recruits calling and cancelling interviews. When he asks them why they have changed their minds, he is told my the majority of them...
'We are waiting to see who is elected President', they then go on to state that if Obama is elected, they will NOT serve. They refuse to enlist in service and be commanded by an appeaser. And these are 17 and 18 year old kids. Pretty smart kids if they can see threw "that one".
So ole Joe may have a crystal ball on what will happen in the first six months of an Obama administration, but guess what, we will not have nearly enough military men or women to secure America thanks to the white flag throwing appeaser named Barack Hussein Obama. |
With Obama and Obiden you get both. |
No matter what Obama/Obiden have seen or read or been told in the White House briefings, why would Biden open his mouth now? Why not wait until Nov 5 to say something this ridiculous? At least then it would be too late to change your mind who to vote for. |
and move to another country where they have been in existance for years and have been a disgrace and complete failure, for both people and government. The change he is talking about is not change at all, nor is it new. Its been around for many years. Im just surprised that he is trying to introdumce it to the american public because people from all around the world have moved here to get away from this type of government. Obama is a fake. He has no substance and is just a mouthpiece for radical leftists. Nice try Obama, but people are on to your game. |
has anyone heard of a candidate running for president picking a potential voter and publicly critisizing him. I have never been so disgusted with someone running for office. What gives Obama and his liberal freekazoids the right to investigate Joe the plumber's records and life story? Is he that much of a communist that we cant talk or express ourselves in public without him sending his watch dogs to discredit us? WOW Imagine what it would be like if he were president and someone criticized him. Would he raid his home and shut down his business? Where could he take this insane arrogance of his?
Look how he spoke about Fox News. They are the only news that have the guts to tell it like it is and Obama went off on them because he has every other liberal media in his pocket. The kind of change he is talking about is too anti-american for us. If he wants to lead a country with his socialist views, let him move to another country where these views have been in place for years and have failed, both for the government and the people. |
is not only showing his ignorant transparency but is reveiling Barack's as wwll. I think Biden, himself, is having a conflict standing behind Obama. He knows Obama is a risky candidate and a riskier president, so he tries to warn everyone to stick with Obama, even though he is destroying America and its allies. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see Obama's agenda.
His radical friends His socialistic views His so called "change" that he will bring His obvious alignment w/ arabs His obvious distain for Israel His liberal political views His refusal to submit an "AUTHENTIC" Birth Certificate. The list goes on .............. What more does he have to do for people to finally say ....... ENUF
My mom used to tell us that when you have a little voice on the inside giving you reservations about someone or something, listen carefully ......... move with caution.
Thats my advise about this election. There has been WAY TOO MUCH controversy linked to Obama. We can never take his candidacy serously. He needs to go back to Chicago and help Rezko with his financial and legal problems. He's way out of his league here. |
Biden might be suggesting that Obama's "unpopular" response to a "crisis" will be to register women for the draft, reinstitute military conscription, and mandate national service for everyone. These "big brother" initiatives would not be popular among (a) those of us who were affected by the draft during the Vietnam Era, (b) those of us who have adolescents, (c) young adults who would be drafted into the military or other forms of national service. So Obama would need all the support he could muster.
McCain, I beleive, is against registration of women, reinstituting the draft, and a national service program. Obama, Hillary, Rangel and many democrats are for these ideas (see http://www.topix.com/forum/city/chattanooga-tn/T10G6KBR6CP 6C78H7).
These ideas go against the Declaration of Independence, which guarantees the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
These ideas also violate the 13th amendment: "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime where of the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
This issue should be surfaced now and would provide traction for McCain. I can hear McCain and Palin saying during their stump speeches: . . . And speaking of big government, do you know what these liberals want to do?
Why doesn't this issue get any attention in the press? |
Compare "I've forgotten more about foreign policy...." with this from basketball coach Bobby Knight:

For my part, that second part of Biden's statement, that their administration is going to need the party faithful to stick with them, even though whatever they do will seem like the wrong thing... that really sets me aback. I mean, either they're going to do something very UnLeft in response to antagonism... and as someone here said, you haven't seen really horrifying war til a Democrat runs it, or they'll do something so obviously wrong that even the left will hate it.
Either way... we're going to be in trouble, because I don't believe that these guys can plan some deep-game mystery response to a global issue that hasn't happened yet, which they can predict this far out they will respond to in a way that will win in the long run but look bad for a while? I mean, seriously, Obama already planning high intrigue global politics? He's shown no signs of this ability so far.... |
Christians have been saying for years now, "Come Lord Jesus, come quickly". Well, the time may be upon us. But before that happens, theres tribulation to go through. Read Matt 24 for starters. We're looking at the new testament passages on the return of the Lord and matt 24, directly in th eye. Romans 13: 1-5 tells us that the governing authorities are ordained by.......us; NO! by God. If Obama is elected dont'be caught fighting against his authority you will be fighting against God Almighty! If you don't know Jesus as Messiah, and Lord don't wait any longer, now is the time. Today is the day of salvation. DO IT NOW ! I |
This Biden Kook could be a "heartbeat away from the presidency"... I just recently learned about Biden's past brain problems, surgically treated aneurysm.. and they refuse to release his recent brain scan records.. Hmmmm, at least that makes sense. |
The last time we had a Democrat president and congress they gave us the largest tax increase on the middle class in the history of the nation. (1993-1994)
The time before that we had prime interest over 20%, double digit inflation, Americans held hostage (444 days) & high unemployment. (Thank you Jimmy Carter) His answer was to create a 'Luxury tax' on big ticket items so the rich would have to pay more taxes. The result was the rich bought nothing and saved their money. And the result of that was, seeing as how it is the middle class working men & women that make the stuff for the rich, unemployment went even higher because they had nothing to do.
The time before that JFK & LBJ brought the Viet Nam war extravaganza. WOOHOO!
When taxes on the rich are significantly increased, the rich go to their high priced tax attorneys and accoutants and find new and better ways to hide their money. Tax revenues will go down. With all the new entitlement programs started, the only option for the dems will be to increase taxes on the middle class. It's coming, people, it has happened in the past, it will happen again if this guy gets in.
I think this is what Biden meant about decisions they will make that may not be popular. They know the rich can't fund everything they're promising. |
WHat KIND of trouble? Dr. Dobbson will declare a revolution and instead of protesting at abortion clinic, he will move his operations to outside the white house gates?
Insighting riots is not good. It is exspecially bad form for the GOP to be doing it. But then, the GOP has been hijacked, and we true conservatives are taking it back on Nov. 5, when the real work will begin. President Obama won't be the best, but he won't be the worst. And if Powell is on his team, i'm much more comfortable than with Palin on McCain's team. |
He was speaking to his faithful. He's warning them that Barack may need to leave his faithful to do the right thing for the country and they won't like it. It also means that the elected Dems did the right thing when they voted to support Bush at the outset of the Global war on terror, but then decided it was in their personal best interest, not the country's, to tear Bush down when the left started rakeing them over the coals for supporting Bush. Bottm line...hypocrits to the end. |
Once inside the Obama cape poor Joe has realized that there is going to be great trouble if Obama is elected.
I bet he is craping his pants when during the security briefings on 'grave threats" he hear the response from the Obama camp.
It too late for Joe to back away and quit a distorted Obama group, so he is doing his best to let us know the consequences if we vote for his ticket.
If McCain wins we should make Joe a hero!!!! |
MY GOD -- HOW CAN ANYONE QUESTION SARAH PALINS QUALICATIONS OR MCCAIN FOR PICKING HER-- OBAMA PICKED THIS DIMWIT! CHECK THIS OUT FOR THE CHAIN OF SUCCESION-- OBAMA--UNKNOWN BIDEN (IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO OBAMA) AND THEN -- THE TOTALLY INCOMPETENT PELOSI. WHAT A LINEUP ADD HARRY REID AND YOU HAVE THE FOUR HORSEPERSONS OF THE APOCALYPSE. NOW? |

The Fairness Doctrine isn't any different than what Chavez did to his country! He shut down the voice of those against him! Now wasn't it Barack who demanded the DOJ shut Mccain/Palin Up?
Wake up America before you sell out your Freedoms to this Socialist Racist! |
From Joe Biden:
"'Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?' We're gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I'm asking you now, I'm asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you're going to have to reinforce us."
"There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, 'Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don't know about that decision'," Biden continued. "Because if you think the decision is sound when they're made, which I believe you will when they're made, they're not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they're popular, they're probably not sound.'"
Where have we heard this before? Oh, yes--from George Bush. (Does Colin Powell ever have a great track record when it comes to endorsing leaders who can get the country on board with his ideas or what?) Where's the change, Joe?
Oh, yes. Now I remember. The change is in our back pocket. That's all we have left after the Obama-Biden administration has "spread [our] wealth around.

... abc, nbc, cbs, pbs will get a rude awakening because they're not fair and balanced... and we can also throw in ny times, la times, and all the liberal rags of hate too.... maybe we will make them fair and balanced finally... |
Is Joe Biden a Republican in Dems clothing? He sure sounds like one.... LOL |
I thought that all the world would come together for a group hug and a round of Kumbaya after The One is elected.
I wonder if it is the Obama campaign who'll "[generate] a crisis", then solve it, in order to allay fears that he's not the limp-wristed castrati most of us believe him to be? |
Liberals own the major TV networks, most newspapers and magazines, and plenty of radio stations. Liberal propaganda is pervasive, as evidenced by this presidential campaign. Yet, liberals still feel threatened by any criticism and thus seek to regulate conservative talk radio out of existence. Wimps. |
The Russians were very interested in how he handled the air traffic controllers strike, he didn't back down, they knew he had a spine. In talks with them, in some areas that he considered non-negotiables he got up and walked away from them and "star warred" them into the ground, they knew he was no candy pants. The other most likely will test Obama. Coming from a party that did its best to lose this war, having stated he will not weaponize space, slow the development of new combat weapons systems, if I were a terrorist or any major enemy of the U.S. I too would believe this guy is a sap. |
the Fairness Doctrine.
If supporters of President Obama can borrow the microphone for a few minutes every half hour, then the effort to undermine him can be somewhat neutralized.
Bush earned everyone's contempt by rushing into war and weakening America.
Obama should be able to earn everyone's admiration by averting war and strengthening America. |
Reports are that Sen Biden has no scheduled appearances today. While others in the Obama campaign have stepped up their events to cover for the candidate's visit to Hawaii, Joe's taking some time off. How telling is that?? Of course, all the news outlets will gloss right over both the comments and Joe's sudden lack of rallies to go to, natch! |
On Sunday, Powell AND Lieberman said essentially the same thing as Biden.
How many Americans (here or abroad) are going to die for the simple reason of finding out if BO has balls?
In an effort to protect American lives, I'll save our enemies the effort of a test: Barak Obama has no balls. |
gonna find that Americans don't like pu**ies. |
Nobody tested Reagan.
That is correct. The day he was elected, iran released 444 hostages that had been in captivity through the last 2 years of Carter's presidency. They didn't HAVE to test Reagan. They KNEW who he was and how he'd deal with them.
On the flip side, our enemies also KNOW who Barry is. They're been following our election closer than most Americans. They KNOW TheOne is someone they can push around.
Biden knows it too. |
Four things:
1. The US will withdraw support from Israel, though not totally, of course. Israel will be forced to make accommodations with Hamas.
2. That the US is going to withdraw support from Israel is not news. Jesse Jackson spilled the beans a week ago. He had to do that, he needs the press.
3. Obama will restart the draft. He is no fool, just a liar. He knows that we are in a war with radical Islam that we must win if we are to survive. He knows that our existing military is not adequate to the task. The sacrifice of Israel is a necessary measure for the short run, not a solution.
4. Please remember how Al Qaeda thinks. As they hit Spain just before elections, so they will hit us just before Nov. 4. The hit might be in the US or elsewhere. Please remember that Al Qaeda believes that we are decadent and in retreat. We might prove them right on Nov. 4. They will hit now to push us over the edge. |
Putin, Chavez, Hamas, Hezbollah, Ahmadinejhad all want the guy elected, have made statements like "we can work with him". Besides win what, the Democrats have tried their best to lose this war, why win one now? I thought once elected peace would break out all over the planet, the seas would part, and new stars would shine. |
The key to ensuring America's national security is making it clear that we don't care what the rest of the world thinks of us when it comes to defense. Any attack on the US or its interests will earn swift and blinding retribution.
If our enemies think that the president is weak, Americans will die as a result, period.
History shows this to be true, and that "scary" presidents don't get tested. |
Everyone knows Barry and Joe MIGHT be inept in a crisis, but The Ones VP nominee is telling all who will listen that they WILL be inept and you can EXPECT that crisis to come. Will that bother you or any other dim ....Heck no!
You go ahead and keep believing the world is turning aginst the USA, even though leaders like Sarkozy and Merkel keep proving otherwise. The rest of the free world is trending conservative and the USA is lurching left. Good God!
Well, for one thing OUR presidential candidate was the only one that called for a surge from the beginning; oh, and, he predicted and tried to stop the "credit crisis" 3 years before it happened. |
Every time I think I should be swayed by this "Republicans can handle the upcoming crises better" argument, I remember what a complete BOTCH Bush & Co. made of our foreign relations over the last eight years, how our global credibility is GONE, how few allies we have left in the world, and how much of our precious resources in "blood and treasure" we have just thrown away. Bleat all you want about about the idea that Obama and the Dems MIGHT be disastrous in a crisis, but the Republican administration has proven over eight years it is CERTAINLY disastrous in a crisis. Time to try something different. |
All the evidence suggests that Biden is much dumber than Demoscrats think Palin is; and Palin much smarter than they think Biden is. If Palin had said 1/10 the crap that's come out of Biden's head, I'd be leading the charge to drop her from the ticket.
If you recall, we said that Biden was at the bottom of the list of VP candidates that worried Republicans, below Osama bin Laden and Hannah Montana -- now you know why.
If I didn't know better, I'd think Biden was a Republican, or more likely, a Clinton plant. Biden makes Palin seem like Margaret Thatcher by the day. |
Biden was just being honest. That's alien to the GOP media elite these days.
But I tried to listen to Palin on Medved and her voice was garbled as well as unbearable.
Did Larry bother to correct Hugh on his imaginary numbers? If not, chalk it up to the beltway elite. |
four more years of bluster and bluffing, ultimately resulting in American capitulation and disgrace. That's the Republican way. Or someone challenging Barack and getting a taste of his toughness. That's the Democratic way. You guys are full of hot air--and when you back it up, you back it up stupidly, as in Iraq. We look for alliances, look to bridge differences, but will fight if we have to. Take your choice. After all, Bush was challenged by 9/11, and frankly, made a muck of it. Put Barack in that type of situation and the terrorists lose instead of win. I bet the terrorists are just hoping and praying for a McCain miracle. They'll take an American blowhard to a sensible and smart American leader any time.. |

Ok,
I will give all you libs a huge and I mean huge benefit of the doubt that Biden is not totally off his rocker.
Now please tell me what the heck he was saying in this speech and why he said it.
Why do I want to vote for someone that is going to screw up.... even his VP says it?
cmon libs, you have to be shaking your heads too right?
Or is Biden claiming as Hugh says that he knows what is coming and that in the end Obama will do the right thing- kinda like what Yoda says about Annekin Skywalker... of course millions died before Darth Vader did the right thing... How about if we vote McCain, will he do the right thing without people dying? hmmmmmmmmm |
Slow Joe and Barry O. Two guys that are WAY over their heads. At least one of them knows it.
Ahhhh, the real world; not just words. It's a long way from bloviating in the Senate. Now there is REAL RESPONSIBILITY for lives that are in peril and decisions about sending lives in peril.
I am not big on my Senator McCain, however, there are two undeniable reasons for ANYONE to vote for him:
1. Dealing with terrorists and despots. 2. Divided government. That's our best chance.
God help us. |
is that Barak Obama is an upper middle-class nancy boy, a cosseted man who grew up in privilege and lives among people who have little grasp of reality, and who has never had his courage tested.
Perhaps he has some. Nobody knows because nobody has ever seen it.
When he comes up against one of the world's bad boys, whether it's the Latino thug Chavez or the death-loving Mohammedan mullahs of Iran, he's going to pee in his designer underwear.
I eagerly await Voice of Reason's description of how an effete member of the chattering class will handle a full-blown crisis, such as a Russian invasion of Ukraine or an Iranian missile attack on Israel.
Lemme go get a beer and get comfy. VOR's description of Obama's balls should be priceless. |
Honestly, I think Biden himself is worried about Obama.
I really believe that. I mean, look at what Biden has said about Obama in the past. Compare that to what he said Sunday...not much difference.
Biden knows Obama has little experience and he knows that other world leaders are going to test him. And I truly believe Biden has doubts as to whether Obama can pass those tests.
Biden realizes he is going to have to carry a lot of water for Obama...and what he said Sunday was truthful. He gave the McCain campaign a lot of help. |
Excellent points. Please lend VoR Obama's white flag! |
I tend to agree about the "inside baseball" line. Sounds like *somebody* is a bit too taken with his/her own sense of smartitude.
At least one commentator tonight asked the following rhetorical question: "does Biden know something that we don't know..?" |
impressed by the Powell endorsement? Any thoughts, VOR? |
VOR...big flaw in your argument. When McCain and Liberman say it, that is one thing. When Biden says it, that is something completely different.
Here you essentially have Biden AGREEING with McCain and Liberman. Expect a commercial real soon...which will make the media talk more about it. I can't believe you are so blind to how this is going to hurt Obama's campaign.
btw...about getting advice from Powell...you mean the same advice Bush got? Or is Powell's advice now acceptable to the liberals? LOL, what a joke. |
I'm sure President Obama can pick up his bat phone and call Colin Powell for some suggestions. If you really think any voter is going to be swayed by a comment made by Biden after Lieberman and McCain have been saying the same things for 4 months, well, I have a bridge to sell you in Alaska. |
Sounds like to me VoiceofReason thinks we Americans are too stupid to understand what Biden was saying. LOL.
We understand it clearly. And I am sure the Obama campaign is not too happy with Biden's comments.
VoiceOfReason...are you drinking from the Obama kool-aid?
Look, the only people who care about the Powell endorsement are those in the Washington beltway. I am in North Carolina. Today, I continue to hear talk about what Obama said to Joe the Plumber and how the media is treating the guy. Haven't heard hardly any talk about Powell. People outside of the beltway care more about Joe the Plumber then they do Powell.
And McCain isn't losing ground. He has gained ground in Ohio, Florida, etc. What are you talking about?
McCain won last week. And the discussion the rest of this week is going to be on taxes and Biden's comments. Sets McCain up for another good week. |
Yeah, VOR, that's inside baseball. |
What Biden said is too inside baseball for the rest of the country. No, the only things people will be talking about for the next news cycle are the Powell endorsement, the Adelman endorsement and how McCain is losing even more ground in the individual state polls. |
I can't believe Biden said what he did on Sunday! This will be the big news story this week, and the Obama campaign cannot be happy about that.
Essentially, you have Biden telling the American people that the first year or so under Obama will be hard and that Obama will make mistakes. That is not what you want your running mate to be saying two weeks out from the election.
While Palin praises John McCain as "prepared" and "ready to lead"...Biden places doubts in the minds of Americans about Obama.
Talk about a MAJOR mistake by the Obama/Biden campagain. McCain needs to hit this hard. |
Hugh was back in his "Romney Rising" mode, telling a nationwide audience how the polls began reversing following Wednesday's debate. He even raised the Zogby-Reuters poll again. Poor Hugh apparently missed Zogby's press release tonight:
"Obama posts another big day; eats into McCain's base
UTICA, New York - Democrat Barack Obama posted his second consecutive strong day of polling and pulled well ahead of Republican John McCain with two weeks to go before Election Day, the latest Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby daily tracking poll shows. Data from this poll is available here
Obama improved his numbers by 0.5 points over yesterday, topping 50% outright for the first time in the tracking survey of likely voters nationwide, but the notable movement was McCain's drop of two full points, settling at 42.4% in the three-day tracking poll. Obama leads McCain by 15 points among independent voters (50% to 35%), and is also winning 12% of the Republican vote, all the while retaining a firm grip on his Democratic base, winning 87% support from members of his own party.
McCain wins 84% of the Republican vote.
Obama leads by 21 points among those who have already voted, and also maintains a large lead among those who have registered to vote just in the last six months. He leads by two points among men and by 13 among women. He also leads in all but one age demographic - those aged 55-69 - where McCain has a scant one-point edge."
Hugh remains consistent; consistently wrong in every analysis this election season. |
Hugh.. you said, "... there's no way to deny the reality of the defeatism and retreat represented by a vote for Obama-McCain."
I know you meant O'Bomba-Biden.
Oh no, Briggsy, are liberals afraid that Obama, if elected, might have his widdle feelings hurt by criticism? President Bush has faced 8 years of the Dem's base and even its elected leaders calling him unprintable, despicable names. If your guy wants to be president, he and the rest of the gutless Dem party better grow a thick skin. |
"Because if you think the decision is sound when they're made, which I believe you will when they're made, they're not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they're popular, they're probably not sound."
If something is popular, it's not sound.
Go tell it to the mountain Joe.
As to forcasting? Well we hear you Sen. Biden.
You'll bend with Iran, walk on the gulf, tell Israel to square the circle and gut the military's role and prepareness for any intervention anywhere in the future. You do this while assuring the world that the 'new' America is a peace loving nation.
"Gird your loins"? I think I'll buy more ammo.
It means bad news if Obama is elected. |
is going to get a lot of grief from YOU, Hugh Hewitt, and all your friends and colleagues in conservative talk radio.
And when a crisis happens, Biden wants to make sure that proper long-lasting support has been built for trusting in Barack to do what is best for the nation.
Here's hoping the noise from his domestic political opponents never distracts the man from doing his finest most tip top job. |
Why would he tell the peace loving democratic party that something's gonna happen in the national security/foreign policy realm that will cause a crisis of faith, to use the religious metaphor.
I read it exactly counter to what you posit, if he's saying: listen, I know we've been lambasting Bush for his provocations and war mongering, but just hold on and wait to see the truth before you lose your faith.
I've always said, you ain't seen diabolic war until a democrat gets into the fray: Hiroshima, abortion, the party of personal destruction, and euthanasia will brook no surrender.
You'll see. Everyone is always wrong about leftists. Haven't you learned from the blood bath of last century? |
