Mormon Bigotry = Wyoming Win
It seems like mormons overwhelmingly voted for Mitt in Wyoming giving him the victory. Why is this not bigotry? Evangelicals may have overwhelmingly voted for Huckster but at least they were honest about it. Hugh, I'd like to hear about mormon bigotry in Wyoming - all things considered.
Hector Berlioz writes: Saturday, January, 05, 2008 5:17 PM
bigotry/identity
Nobody ever called evangelicals voting for Huckabee "bigotry". It's identity politics, and it may very well have happened to Romney.

We can't expect more, that's just how people vote.

Hold on there, folks
Knight is right. Party leaders choose.

I guess there goes your big bigotry story Sarah and Hector! So funny.

There are only about 10,000 Mormons in Wyoming, anyway.

Sarah writes:
"Why is this not bigotry?"

1.Because Romney doesnt tell Mormons he's the Mormon's candidate. He knows darn well you
dont tell people of faith how to vote.

2.Because there is no such thing as Wyoming Bishop's Coalition handing out voter information and sending out emails at church.

3.Because Mormons have voted for many people not of their denomination, and continue to vote for people who arent of their denomination, and dont vote against someone just because they arent Mormon.

4.Because the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints doesnt tell anyone how to vote, they let a man vote on his own accord.

By the way Hunter and Thompson had high numbers too.

Apparently their are alot of conservatives in Wyomning that are voting for a POTUS and not a PIC.

Sorry Hector
I misunderstood your post.

Wrong again
Well, I was wrong about the number of Mormons in WY. There are about 50-60,000 or so. My bad, not that it matters.

Sarah
Do you know the size of the Mormon population in Wyoming? Yeah - didn't think so. It's quite small. Idaho's is much larger - but still not a majority.

This is HUGE for Romney
HUGE I am telling you!
