What Did Pelosi Know, And When Did She Know It?
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 5:49 PM
Democratic Congressman Tim Mahoney has a sex scandal on his hands, and democratic leadership may have been complicit in the cover-up, according to ABC News' Brian Ross.

The irony:  Mahoney took disgraced Republican Mark Foley's seat in 2006.  Recall that when Foley became the headline last cycle, the MSM took out after the GOP leadership for failing to act to clean up the House.

So, will the in-the-bag-for-Obama-media put up a solid front for Pelosi this time?

Republican challenger Tom Rooney is looking very strong as a result of Mahoney's scandal, but expect other GOPers to point to the Pelosi cover-up as evidence of what an Obama-Pelosi-Reid troika would accept as "ethical" from its rank-and-file.

Nothing to see here...
Just another sex scandal involving a Democrat... and old news at that...

Let's complain about Bush instead...

That question beggars the imagination...
Because I can't see Pelosi knowing anything. The woman is a walking, babbling intellectual black hole. I constantly marvel that she can maintain an upright posture rather than walk on all fours. And leftist zombies in her district keep voting for the moron!

Just a Little Off Topic But Good News!
"The highly accurate IBD/TIPP poll has started today with its daily tracking of likely voters. Just off the press: Obama 45; McCain 43; and 13 percent unsure. The poll of 825 likely voters has an error margin of +/- 3.5 percentage points. Also, McCain has a 48-41 lead among investors with 10 percent not sure. All this is good news for McCain." - Larry Kudlow, NRO

to see the MSM go after this one the way they did against the Repubs back in '06, or Sarah Palin today.

NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, That Smell
Two sex scandals (D) in one year, how blessed are we? And may involve other party members? Spank me and call me Nancy!
FeliciaB writes: Monday, October, 13, 2008 6:12 PM
In GOP words: Oh, who cares!
Vitter is still hanging out in the Senate, isn't he? What's happened to Craig? Still there, still legislating.

Granted, a sex offender of young boys, like Foley, IS a different matter altogether - and when you've got the holier-than-thou crowd having howled about Clinton's sexual conduct, then yes, the hypocrisy is such that the Dems howled back. But let's be clear: the GOP horndogs have been pretty much absolved by their peers, haven't they? Vitter even got a standing ovation for goodness sake.

So again, who cares besides the man's wife? And please, to suggest Pelosi is in any way in on the 'scandal' is laughable. Like she cares.
FeliciaB writes: Monday, October, 13, 2008 6:13 PM
Hey!
This might help Cindy Sheehan's chances to unseat Pelosi! Good news!

This was one of the funniest things I have ever read on here! Kudo's! I agree with you to completely, I guess you don't see Reid behind her holding her up pulling on her apron strings.

Wasn't Mahoney a Republican?
I seem to recall that Rahm Emanuel persuaded him to switch party to run for Foley's seat. Looks more like maybe that Congressional district has rampant zipper problems?
Magua writes: Monday, October, 13, 2008 7:13 PM
OK - Let's let Bill Burton Handle This!
For those that don't know Mr. Burton he is the resident apologist for the messiah.

Okay here we go. This is the official Democrat response to the Tim Mahoney sex scandal:

Magua News Network – First term US Congressman Tim Mahoney was implicated in a sex scandal involving a woman. This is certainly a breath of fresh air in light of the scandal with Mark Foley of two years ago with his terrible and disgraceful behavior involving his text messaging to House pages.

The Democrat leadership says at least this was consensual, heterosexual sex, not that Mrs. Pelosi understands what that is coming from the district she represents. Bill Burton, official spokesman for the most merciful lord Barrack Obama says: at least it wasn’t a Great Dane or a donkey from Tijuana. The messiah in no way advocates being caught at such an activity and strongly denounces it in the strongest possible language.
Perceptor II writes: Monday, October, 13, 2008 7:24 PM
Let's get the first Democrat lie out
"It was consensual sex."

The taped phone conversation tells a different story. The relationship probably started out as consensual, but Mahoney fired her when she wouldn't continue the relationship. That is sexual harassment. That is illegal. In my opinion it is the worse form of sexual harassment, as it involves the abuse of power.
Magua writes: Monday, October, 13, 2008 7:43 PM

That is their specialty. They hone their skills at the local level and then ascend to the Bill Clinton School of Intimidation and Sexual Proclivity. This whole thing in the government is about power and gravy train economics and nothing else. They speak of this honorable and altruistic ruse of public service. Ted Kennedy had numerous run-ins with the law in Charlottesville and got off the hook. He graduated to wrongful death at Chappaquiddick and then treason with Abu Ghraib being under new management. See how it works. It is just a natural progression for the Democrats.

Did Rose Kennedy own a black dress?

Democrats ran on values
All I heard two years ago was how the Democrats were going to change everything. They ran on the "anti;Foley" and here we end with the identical spot as two years ago. All the news will work hard to hide this stuff until the guy gets elected and then return to blaming Republicans for everything.
cottoneyed writes: Monday, October, 13, 2008 10:04 PM
CONSERVATIVES ARE THE MAJORITY
The Battleground Poll, a bipartisan poll which always asks a core set of questions and which always reveals the battery of questions asked, shows an astounding fact: In question D3, 60% of Americans in twelve consecutive Battleground Polls taken over six and half years asking virtually the same question each time, call themselves CONSERVATIVES. The lowest was in Dec. 2007, 58%, and the highest was 63%, in May of 2008. Some assumed the poll has an agenda, indeed it does. It has a high reputation for precision without any partisan, leaning. That is the Battleground Poll agenda and that agenda reinforces, rather than weakens, the argument. The Battleground Poll, question D3 does not ask if someone is conservative or not; it does not ask if someone is liberal or not; it instead provides a number of different and mutually exclusive answers for respondents. One allowed answer is "moderate". Another allowed answer is "unsure/refused". And respondents can choose "somewhat liberal" or "very conservative" or "very liberal". Those 60% of respondents who call themselves "somewhat conservative" or "very conservative" reject all four of those other answers. Why would they affirmatively choose conservative if they were really a moderate or if they really did not know or would prefer not to answer? The respondents obviously had a very clear idea of what conservative means.

The left is very, very good at obscuring the truth. When, Republicans run true Conservatives they always win, it is only when they do not, that they lose. The only democrats to win the Presidency, covering the last 35 years, have been southern moderates who convinced the electorate that they were conservative, and there by, garnered a majority of the white male vote. Without which, NO candidate for POTUS has ever won!!

Watch out Barak! Mahoney is now more qualified to be the Democrat nominee for POTUS than you are.

Quick! Have Axelrod alert the media that you beat up a transexual at a hotel in North Carolina after snorting a tuna can full of cocaine.

That ought to keep Mahoney down till at least Thanksgiving.

Boys, it's the botox. Really. Recent studies show botox can migrate to the brain (assuming you have one)and cause malfunction.

From Magua's WSJ link
'Acorn uses various affiliated groups to agitate for "a living wage," for "affordable housing," for "tax justice" and union and environmental goals, as well as against school choice and welfare reform. It was a major contributor to the subprime meltdown by pushing lenders to make home loans on easy terms, conducting "strikes" against banks so they'd lower credit standards.'

This pretty much sums up BHO--and his role in the recent meltdown. (At least his mindset.)

And a bunch of baffoons are voting for more of the same?

Do you ever get the idea that when you pay taxes you're simply contributing to your own demise?

Oh yeah!

Pittiful Pelosi
Pelosi is a pathogical lyer. We will never know whe she knew anything.

I have dreams of having her, Frank, Dodd, Schumer, Reid, testifying under oath, being questioned on live tv. Topic: the downfall of the mortgage crisis and their roles. Show all the tape of Barney Frank, saying everything is fine with Fannie and Freddie. I want Franks relation with his boyfreind working at Freddie Mac, for 8 years. How much money did each of these thieves still from the american tax player.
David writes: Tuesday, October, 14, 2008 1:20 AM
What Did Pelosi Know ....
I think Senator Obama's Tax proposal can best be described as a "Success Tax". He would like to penalize the men and women who take all the risks and run the small businesses that create the jobs and provide important services to our communities. Should these entrepreneurs fail due to higher taxes, then the least fortunate amongst us will suffer the most from this misguided proposal.

Ms. Pelosi et al will only be too glad to assist him implement his economy killing tax plans should he be our next president. I wish Senator McCain would frame the economic campaign argument as one over Senator Obama's "Success Tax" and then go on to discuss its tragic implications for poor and working class families.

Corruption and ethics only counts
If you are a Republican.
Freezer money Jefferson? No problem.
Feinstein giving money to her husband's defense contracting company? no problem.
Reid running illegal real estate deals in Las Vegas? Don't even think about it.
Barney Frank- ticket fixing, prostitution, FNMA sex, FNMA money? Leave that guy alone!
Charlie Rangel- tax fraud for decades, ridiculous insider deals on real estate? Let's not bother that great American.
Chris Dodd, FNMA money, Countrywide illegal borrowing? Chris who?
FNMA and FMAC meltdowns? Well, let's not blame the folks who covered it up and blocked the investigation.
After all, they are democrats.
I know, let's blame the guy who warned us about it for years and fought to save us from it.
Come on: The real issue facing America is if Gov. Palin fired a crooked drunk cop.
It is obvious, if we ask any democrat, that America's ethical crisis is always due to Republicans.
Just ask the media. They agree.

Another one of Peloski's crooked shenanigans!
She should be impeached! She proved she could not
work with bi-partisan people because of her scandalous speech during the bailout proceedings. She was plain stupid in her remarks
against our Great President Bush! Someone needs to tape her mouth until she learns how to deal

there's a vast difference
between these 'scandals'(how exactly is this one different, btw, than McCain cheating on his wife with Cindy, but I digress) and the hypocrite GOP Senator (Craig) and Congressman (Foley) trying to have illicit sex with strangers or kids, respectively, while denying they are gay because you fundys will hate them more for being gay than abusing their power.

McCain and Palin have both stressed that in this post-9/11 world, you can't blink. Well you know who blinks a lot? Nancy Pelosi! You could keep cool on a hot day by laying in front of her eyes!

She's a blinker! Blink Blink Blink! I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her! And I'd try my hardest!
