I'll bite. Please explain. |

"I don't think Coleman should come on like a jackass or anything"
That ship has sailed. |
I don't think Coleman should come on like a jackass or anything, but to just let the Dems walk on us is becoming a habit by you people who always want to take the high road. Don't you realize, the Dems NEVER take the high road--and they laugh at us and figure we are too stupid to know it.
Right now it sounds like you are suggesting that Coleman act like a wimp. It reminds me of a bad movie where the "hero" is "trying to do the right thing," and he ends up getting a bunch of people killed before he finally decides to fight back.
What's it going to take, Matt, before you think America is worth fighting back for? |
Opps I guess I better eat a bit a crow on that I must have mistook your last line that ended with "dog gone it, he won the election" as a serious statement.
I appologize my bad |
"Oh really what is soo stupid about what I said?"
Huh? I was agreeing with what you said about Matt's article, calling it the "A#1 dumbest post [he has] ever written!!!" That's why I quoted your comment. Why do you think I was calling YOU stupid? |
Oh really what is soo stupid about what I said?
I had forgotten all about the 2000 (WA) govenors race. But the fact that you were probably, scratch ARE probably one of those looney clowns who still believes Algore won Florida even though he LOST 7 RECOUNTS & a Supreme Court challenge only unscores your arrogent stupidity.
CBS said it, you believe it.
Read the note that says breath!!!
Does your mother still breast feed you? |

"Six years of Franken is about 5 years and 364 days too long."
But it won't be just six years. He's 57, so it'll be 18 or 24 or maybe even 30.
After all, he won this time despite being "that comedian carpetbagger from New York." In 2014, he'll be "Our Senator." A shoo-in. |
Roll over and die every time a Democrat steals an election.
Maybe we should roll over and let the Democrats do whatever they want.
This is the kind of thinking that got them in office in the first place. |
Coleman can damage his image any more than a cheater like Franken taking the seat he did not win.
I hope Coleman wins. Six years of Franken is about 5 years and 364 days too long. |
Honestly, what politician or leader in this country has ever given a rat's behind about what the public thinks?
The only time they suffer from negative public opinion is when times get so bad that the public feels they can't safely ignore the buffoonery, corruption, and self-serving ninnies in Washington, and then vote in the other party of corrupt, self-serving buffoons to try to make things marginally better.
Our political class doesn't care about us, and given that we have no real choice and no hope of genuine honest reform, they have no reason too. |
Stewart Smalley will have to wait to get to drive into the Senate.
Now I know how they felt in the Roman Republic when it fell. |
Caligula at least sent his whole horse to the Senate, Minnesota is just sending the back half.
Coleman either won and had the election stollen by a failed AirAmerica clown or lost to a clown. There is no image to protect here. |

The number of votes in a precinct can not exceed the number of voters. that is the case in 25 precincts. Frankenstein has a logical problem leading to a discredited recount problem, leading to a delay in being seated at the senate circus. |
The number of registered voters in a precinct can not exceed the number of votes in that precinct, even if everyone voted for Frankenstein. in 25 precincts, that is the case. Go figure! |
No challenge Coleman could make will bring a public punishment worse than the punishment we will all take from Franken. I hope the supreme cout decides it. We need some high drama! When 25 precints have more votes than those who actually voted...well good grief, you can't just let that go. The judicial branch needs to get involved. |
When 25 precincts have more votes than the voters registered to vote - Houston, we've got a problem. Let Coleman use the legal process laid out in his state to contest what is obviously a serious illegal counting process. After all, hsi image must be viewed relative to 'Frankenstein' and that is a high threshold to cross. Also, the senate has disintegrated into 'a night at the apollo' with Burris the black senator being denied a seat at the all white table, Reid the white mormon asking Governor Blogo not to nominate two qualified black candidates (remember the rumours about mormons not allowing blacks in their church because god said they were cursed?), Kennedy asking to be nominated because her kids are finally grown up and she's tired of being a bored house wife,.........and of course - Reid's comment about 'stinky americans' who need to vote for him but not dare visit his offices in the summer. What image is Coleman risking? The senate is a JOKE! and the whitehouse will soon become a worse joke with the president-elects 'new direction' based on 'old failed ideas' repackaged as 'it's our time now'. |
Remember the Wash Governor's Race of 2000? I gave the same argument as you and told a Democrat friend that the Republican Rossi should give up for the good of the state even though he won the first and second vote.
The Democrat generously replied, "I couldn't agree with you more." That's how they all think - they're jerks.
You can't give in to these people.
This has to be one of the stupidest comments ever. Thanks for the laugh. |
"This is the A#1 dumbest post you have ever written!!!"
It's certainly in the running for that title, but the competition is tough.
"Coleman should use every avenue the law allows in light of ALL of the circumstance surrounding this race."
Especially the one about how Franken has refused to show his birth certificate.
Senator Al Franken (D-MN): he's good enough, he's smart enough, and doggone it, he won the election. |
Yeah dufus lets take a poll maybe if you would have given such advice to Romney I would not be calling you out on your adject ignorance.
NOTE TO MATT: ALGORE IS A HERO TO THE LEFT!!!
This is the A#1 dumbest post you have ever written!!!
Coleman should use every avenue the law allows in light of ALL of the circumstance surrounding this race.
The fact that so called Republicans like you don't get it is proof that we will continue to lose battles we refuse to fight.
Your assertion seems to assume Coleman has some immagined public future, doing what?
I predict if he in fact looses his seat he will never be heard from again in any real capacity unless you are glued to his tail. |
who cares if "the public" punishes the candidate who contests the election? What "public" would this be? The "public" who wants Al Franken in the Senate of the United States of America? Who cares. The fact of the matter is that a whole bunch of funny business went on here to push Franken over the top with votes that somehow did not exist on election day. It is about time someone stood up and said, "I will not stand by and let Democrats destroy the right to vote and have it count, not in the USA." If we don't stand up now, then when. I don't care what happens to Norm Coleman's reputation and I hope he doesn't either. I hope he's willing to put his reputation on the line to defend the right to a legitimate vote in this country.
Oh, and Matt could I suggest you go sit with McCain and the rest of the spineless "let's not rock the boat while the Democrats destroy the country" crowd and quit pretending to be a conservative in any way. You are the furthest thing from it. Please spare us. |
they feel about Coleman's decision to contest the election. Coleman supporters have scant little affection for Franken and the Minnesota DFL party. A DFL friend voted for Coleman because she thought Franken was an embarrassment.
My county overwhelmingly voted for Coleman. We are in the north metro Minneapolis/St Paul area. The joke in this state is that the closer you get to tall buildings or the iron range in NE Minnesota/Duluth, the more liberal, leftist, and socialist you are.
Arne Carlon? He now considers himself to be an Independent and it is doubtful that he was ever truly a Republican. His claim to fame as governor was his notoriety for being a U of M Gopher supporter. He endorsed Obama. Matt Lewis is hallucinating. |
Regarding the contest being the third phase of the process, PowerLine (www.powerlineblog.com) has a good explanation of the process under Minnesota law.
His image isn't going to be hurt with the public, at least those of whom are informed. The contest is the 3rd phase of this process, and the ONLY PHASE which decides on disputed ballots. Most people, maybe you included Matt, are unaware that ballot disputes have not been decided on at all up to this point.
And quoting Arne Carlson as a representative of the "right" is rich. Arne is more liberal than most liberals. I'm sure he's pulling for Al. |
