McCain's New Ad
Posted by: Matt Lewis at 1:22 PM
Often, endorsements don't matter. In the case of John McCain, they came at the right time -- and in the right places. His new ad highlights them...

Like I Said
in another post, this is nothing but regional herd journalism designed to knock Mitt off in NH.If Mccain had any real integrity he would realize that this isn't about him but stopping Mitt. The media cabal against Mitt is nationwide yet he still hangs in in the polls..That's a good sign because it shows a good deal of republicans aren't going to be led around by the liberal media.I'm ashamed of other Republicans that use liberal NE rags to bolster thier arguments for a Mccain nomination. New England isn't as concerned about illegal immigration as other parts of the country nor about national security and the use of devices to protect the country. They agree with the Dems positions on these issues. I'm telling you, McCain has no legs in the south. Sen. Graham is fighting for his life in SC because of his support for the immigration bill. John Kyl is getting heat in Arizona for the same reason. At best Mccain gives lip service to the so-cons.He supported embryonic stem cell research in 2000. He came out for gay marriage in one of those college tours Chris Mattews had a couple years ago and back tracked over the commerical break then got boos from the college crowd for backtracking.People want to talk about Mitt's flip flops but there's been plenty of McCains over the years.

As far as Huck goes, there's immigration groups in Ark. that are distraught over Huck's change in immigration policy which proves he was very PRO_immigration when he ran the state and is now flip-flopping when he's running for president. So don't hand me this crap about Mitt being the only flip flopper in the race.

Yesterday was a good day for McCain
The tragedy in Pakistan juxtaposed with the campaign, most commentators said the event helped John McCain on the Republican side. I guess a brave woman's death de facto erases McCain's long record that has been so loathsome to conservatives.

Almost every pundit (including Krauthammer) said the assassination helped McCain because he has the most experience in foreign policy issues.

I think just the opposite. When McCain has the air of being the expert on a subject, this is when McCain is at his worst as a leader.

This mindset leads McCain to shutdown listening to opposing views and he becomes a first class jerk. It leads him to fly off the handle and not control his temper and tell others “f**k you” and call them chickensh*t*”.

McCain doesn’t have the comportment to be POTUS.

Still waiting
for the highly coveted George Clooney endorsement. That McCain! Liberals sure do love him!

He might as well have...
...advertised that he had been endorsed by Rosie O'Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, and those other liberals from "The View" (though not Elizabeth Hasselbeck)

Not to be an age bigot but
I think 70 years old is a little old to be learning how to run something especially something as large as our government. The one thing I know about the conservative voter is they have a hard time voting against their gut.Rather than do that they would sit out the election. this is the real danger with Mccain being the nom is low turnout just because of all the personal gripes people have with him. I also wonder how many independents he would really pull in if he got the nom. it;s just not him though,i wonder which GOP nom would have a alot of turnout.I wonder if people had the choice of another term of Bush or one of these guys which they would pick. The dems are going to turnout because all they care about is getting a buck from government. Republicans turn out on issues, positions vision, principles and other intangibles.I' also wondering if we're headed to a brokerd convetion and we wind up jumping off a cliff with Newt.If he didn't have the personal baggage this thing would be wrapped up by now.

Big McCain Honk
I was on the fence with McCain, but after seeing that ringing endorsement from The Keene Sentinel I am totally hooked!
