Calm, dignified, and devastating.

One incredible woman
She not only has a compelling story, she is quick witted, smart, and has her heart in the right place. Every time I see something from her I am more impressed.

And she sees right through the anti American left mindset, and cuts it like a knife through butter with her responses.

Incredible woman...reporter is a dolt
She was so calm and collected with a reporter who takes only what he wants to see (the bad) and tries to shove it down her throat.

What really got me about this one is the casual "stolen elections" position again.

Anyone who believes the stolen election theory didn't read up on it after all the hoopla went away. They counted every vote (which always takes a few months after the election is done) and Bush won. Gore won the popular vote...great...it doesn't mean anythign nefarious took place. It is an argument of the witless to suggest wrong-doing in this case.

I am amazed
at how gracious she was able to be in response to the idiot. I would not have been able to do it. Maybe I can learn something from watching her. Still, it seems so satisfying sometimes to forcefully challenge false statements made by stupid people wherever possible.

She did a great job, especially considering that she considers herself an atheist and libertarian and thus not a natural ally of the American evangelical. And yet she realizes the beauty of our system, the rule of law and the balance of powers, etc and will not brook a dismissal of what the West truly has accomplished. Where she could have hit harder, beyond saying that leftists spit on their own freedom because it's taken for granted, is that leftists truly settle for a default deal with the Devil, accepting without thought that Muslim radicals are the underdog heroes. Because they have used socialist rhetoric in their victimology the radical can do no wrong, and though their whole concept of society would be a "hate crime" here, it is ignored.

Not understanding the complete lack of moderation of Islam fundamentalism the equivalent of which simply has not occurred in the Christian world since Oliver Cromwell took his Roundheads into power BECAUSE there is in Western thought and even understanding of orthodox Christian doctrine - a separation of church and state that is quite different from the ideal of sharia and caliphate in Islam.

Not understanding that most of these radicals have only sown chaos instead of order.

Even the traditional understanding will not allow any innovation from the grinding poverty of these countries because it would upset society.

And Arab regimes using socialist rhetoric again have helped none of their people but only made themselves a richer and more unassailable elite, but of course this again considered nothing compared to the failings of Western democracy to make everybody happy, prosperous or able to ensured unfettered social freedom.

Those of you admiring Ayaan are irrational, not because you admire her, but because you disdain the religion of Islam which has no more credibility than your own.

She's amazing; she's worth admiring; religion is neither amazing or worth admiring - any religion.
