Mrs. Smith Goes To Washington
Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 3:25 PM
That's how Redstate is describing Palin's political story. I like it.

Defeatocon Coward--Pasadena Liar
The ugly lies of Pasadena Phil:

"Pasadena Phil writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 12:04 PM
Joe
She is not pro-choice, she is pro-ABORTION! Since you never substantiate anything to anyone, I won't bother either. Do your own homework."

And sadly, when challenged, Virginia Patriot, ScarletPimpernel refuse to comment on it. Still, they did not say it. I will take their silence as embarassment. Pasadena Phil did say it. But Phil is a yellow coward and not worthy of spit anymore. Because he is a dirty liar without honor.

Finally!
Finally, a thread which emphasizes Palin's potential as a candidate (instead of her gender). Mrs. Smith to Washington indeed! Almost too good to hope for!

Mrs. Smith Goes To Washington
How appropriate for this thread. Pasadena Phil tries to slander a good conservative woman and gets caught.
Joe writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 6:09 PM
ScarletPimpernel can you explain?
"ScarletPimpernel writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 5:20 PM
cling hard brothers
At least McCain's VP differs from Obama on one thing. hooray."

You can say good things about Sarah Palin without endorsing McCain. Come on, you must be embarassed with the posts by Pasadena Phil (which are lies and false) accusing Sarah Palin of being pro abortion and pro choice.

ScarletP, MaineCon, Virginia Patriot
I assume you are all embarassed by Pasadena Phil's vicious smear and lie about Sarah Palin. Can I take it by your comment ScarletPimernel that you disagree with what Phil said. You can say it without endorsing McCain.

You are supposedly men of principal. Just say it and show the rest of us.

Virgina Patriot, MaineCon, ScarletP?
You do not agree with Pasadena Phil about this do you? Do you agree that Sarah Palin is pro life and against abortion?

I am not asking you to endorse her or support McCain (you have made your choices in regard to that). I am just seeing if you support Comrade Pasadena Phil's policy any lie is justified it it helps hurt McCain.

I used to respect you all, even if I disagreed with this third party position. I still respect you Scarlet, Virginia Patriot and MaineConservative. Your position was prinicpaled, if in my opinion myopic. Fair enough--we disagree about McCain. But Pasadena Phil crossed a line with this BS above and he is too much of a coward to even admit it.
Joe writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 5:05 PM
ScarletPimpernel--which side are you on?
No we are not just down to pro life. But commrade Pasadena Phil, in response to this pick, lied and said she was not pro life but pro abortion. A flat out dirty lie which I am sure was motivated solely because he knew Palin was a good Veep pick for McCain and he wants McCain to lose.

Now if you and VP want to vote for third party, that is fine. I recognize you do not trust or like McCain. You are free to vote for whoever. But I think you would both agree with me that lying about Sarah Palin's position on abortion (which she is against) is absolutely not justified. It is not honorable. It is dishonest. And that is exactly what Pasadena Phil did today.

Virginia Patriot
"Palin's stand on amnesty is what I'm interested in."

What's she going to do? McCain has her boxed in now, she's going to say whatever McCain tells her to say.
ScarletPimpernel writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 4:52 PM
so we're down to pro-life, huh?
pathetic.
Virginia Patriot writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 4:33 PM

I don't imagine Alaska has experienced the illegal alien inundation like the rest of us. Palin's stand on amnesty is what I'm interested in.

Virgina Patriot--Palin is Pro Life
You know Palin is pro life right? Not pro abortion as Pasadena Phil lied about, tried to defend, and then slithered away like the snake he is.
Virginia Patriot writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 4:21 PM
Palin Does Not Change McCain
He's still a Trojan Horse Democrat pushing amnesty and cap and trade.

Not voting for that.

The Plumber
You keep telling yourself that, this is a 2006 redo. Nothing but mindless cheerleading and hoping for the best and the same time further alienating true conservatives. How did that work two years ago?
Joe writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 4:02 PM
Rip's Flagon--I just emailed Sullivan
about the same quote he posted about Sarah Palin's comments. It is out of context. It was Sarah Palin saying she would not be interested in being a Veep unless she had something real and substantive to work on. I think it was in the context of energy policy.

I beleive you are taking that quote out of context. Also, besides a few job duties that the VPOTUS has like President of the Senate, that job is dependent on the relationship between the POTUS and VPOTUS.
Jim writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 3:55 PM
yes, i thought the same thing
as soon as I heard that he'd picked her. This is CLASSIC "Mr. Smith goes to Washington"-----which hasn't happened since 1976!!

McCain hit a grand slam homerun this this pick! I could not be happier!

You have a lot more confidence in Obama than most Democrats.

When I listen to Obama, my mind goes immdiately to the thought that the GOP could run a yellow dog and still win.

Every time Obama is asked a follow-up question, he drives 10,000 voters to the "other guy". If Palin and McCain keep their mouthes shut and their noses clean, Obama is toast.
drokmed writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 3:48 PM
Palin is awesome
I like a woman that "clings to her guns and religion". A true American.

My Pet Goat writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 3:44 PM
Job description!
“As for that VP talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day?" - Sarah Palin, a month ago.

loflyer writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 3:43 PM
The beginning of the end.
McCain/Palin, everything that's wrong with the GOP. As a conservative this makes me ill yet like sheep to a slaughter the pathetic internet Republicans lap it up. I can't for the life of me don't understand how the GOP went with McCain to start with, know he shows the rest of the nation what poor judgment he has in his VP pick.
To all those that think this a winning combo you're sadly mistaken, McCain is going to lose and lose big.
Fat Man writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 3:41 PM
Real experiencer and judgement

Palin began her political career by bucking existing, corrupt political machinery - and won!

Obama began his political career by bowing down in homage to The Weather Underground.

The choice couldn't be more clear!

Joe writes: Friday, August, 29, 2008 3:36 PM
Palin is a game changer
And while the left is now starting to go into full attack mode with lies about her, she will show she is a very substantive person. A brilliant pick. Well done.

As Rush said: "Guns. Babies. Jesus. Wow."
