Chuck: You're Too Old!
Posted by: Jonathan Garthwaite at 8:34 PM
Huckabee's bodyguard, Chuck Norris drops the age-bomb:

Campaigning for Mike Huckabee, actor Chuck Norris said Sunday that Sen. John McCain is too old to handle the pressures of being president.

"I didn't pick John to support because I'm just afraid that the vice president would wind up taking over his job in that four-year presidency," said Norris, who was hosting a fundraiser for Huckabee at his Lone Wolf Ranch.

"So we need to find someone that can handle it for four years or eight years ... that has the youth and vision and communication skills to make that work." Norris, 67, is four years younger than McCain, who will be 72 in August.

Huckabee will be 52 in August.

The former Arkansas governor, coming off a disappointing second-place finish in the South Carolina GOP primary to McCain, distanced himself from Norris' comments.

"Only John McCain and his hairdresser know for sure," he quipped, at a ranch house on the sprawling East Texas estate. "It is a very stressful position. ... I'm not going to say he's too old. I think he's got a lot of inner strength, good genetic factors by his mom."

One glance
from Chuck Norris's chin and it would be over for McCain. It's funny though,it looks like Huck is using the Clintons surrogate technique to throw an elbow.Huck's got a lot bigger problems to worry about. So far he's only gotten 9% of the non evangelical vote. Romney is leading McCain in this group by 36-35%./

McCain wine
Even McCain would not discuss the possibility of a second term. We coulkd be right back in 4 years and he could be a lame duck for the first term.

mccain is my 4th choice on the gop list, but i don't believe he is too old, just not the most suitable. if i were you, though, i wouldn't be dissing mr norris up close.

Chuck is right about McCain and
I would add to that Huckabee is way to religious too for POTUS.

Oh, if people only knew
What many people don't realize is that Chuck Norris is trying to get his KickStart program in the schools - government funded, of course. He is looking for a handout.

Who wants to bet against me that Huck made Chuck a promise with your tax dollars?

It's a business move for Chuck. Plain and simple.

Girl fight!
Ah, the foreign policy moron calls Washington Weasel too old...it's like watching Luke Perry and Brad Pitt fight: two people I don't like are beating each other up and I don't give a cr*p. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the two men that will usher in the Hillary Clinton Presidency. Behold your new Republican party.

Chuck, you're too old
Isn't Chuck Norris a bit old for being a body guard. I mean sure he is aging well, but...

Huckabee is a coward
I am so tired of Huckabee having other people do his dirty work while he acts like he is running a positive campaign. Look at his speech Sat night. "John and I ran positve campaigns." Will the real Mike Huckabee please come forward.

Wow
Chuck is 67 years old??? Dang!

That dude is aging well.
BG writes: Sunday, January, 20, 2008 8:55 PM
Aging
Age is one thing McCain can't correct or change positions on. It sticks. I was reading Dem threads yesterday and they were all talking about how to defeat McCain and age was their first line of attack.

Now the Huck camp has raised it in the Rep Primary. This issue will rattle around the media for a while to the extent that the MSM will say anything negative about McCain.

The Age issue is probably more damaging to McCain than the Fried Squirrel comments are to Huck.
