Franken Wants Church to be Searched for Ballots
Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 4:53 PM
Al Franken's campaign is calling for the "systematic forensic search" of a Lutheran Church used as a polling station on Election Day in hopes of finding 133 missing ballots.

Franken's lawyer Marc Elias is demanding every person who worked at the polling station or assisted in any of the set-up or clean-up be interviewed as a part of the investigation.

The Minnesota Republican Party says Franken's demands are akin to a "goverment invasion of a church" that's "offensive and completely out-of-control"  as well as "bizarre and repulsive" according to a release from their headquarters.

"In addition to a loud slap in the face of local election officials, the Franken campaign’s demand for information on the administrator of the church is simply tantamount to government-sponsored persecution," the MN GOP's statement added.

Despite the outrage from the Coleman campaign, Secretary of State Mark Ritche seems amendable to Franken's request. A statement from the secretary's office said they would be providing a witness to the Elections Department for the investigation "because the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State is committed to the accurate accounting of votes in the U.S. Senate race recount."

like I've said before, th "RATS" will keep on countin' till they get the results they want!

There's no limit to what those thugs will do to win,....we've become nothing more than a banana republic S*** H***, where elections are predetermined in favor of the commies.

Give it up!
Franken just needs to give it up, accept the fact that he lost and no amount of political manuevering is going to make him a winner.

This is just way over the top, calling for a systematic forensic search, what the hell is he CSI now? Questioning a man of the cloth stoops to the lowest of lows, even for Franken.

He should hook up with Rosie O'Donnell. They are both insane.

Searching Churches?
Franken has gone around the bend, he's perfect to represent McGovernland in the Senate.

Hello???
This church was a polling place. In an election where the victory is likely to be 100s of votes out of millions cast no stone should be left unturned in the determination of the will of the voters.
Tea Party writes: Thursday, December, 04, 2008 6:14 PM
But
we don't! If the Sec. of State demands the Church comply, the Church should say "make me."
This is outrageous. He is essentially accusing the Church, and the poll workers of voter fraud,
(something he really does know a lot about, given all the ballots that magically appear at the snap of his fingers.)
We can't really blame the Minnesotans, we don't know how many really voted for this creep and how many voters experienced a Chicago resurrection..imagine thousands of Freddies appearing to vote for the creep.

I know the Minnesota Atty Gen is a Soros selected guy, and the party machinery in Minnesota is totally Democrat party controlled, but is no one in Minnesota who can just say the election if over, the recounting is over. The Republican guy won and leave it at that. If Franken doesn't like it, let him file his lawsuit. He's going to anyway if he doesn't win. These guys do not believe in Democracy. They believe in Democrats.

would Franken demand that a mosque or an AME church be scoured?

Any recount is invalid unless/until the

Oh, come on now Al boy, we know your ulterior motive is to get into the pants of the priest, alter boy or how about the ground's keeper. We respect your suspicions that the alter boy has a ballot hidden in his booty.
I say Al, why don't you request a "Church" line-up. I'll bet after searching all of those perverted and devious Christians, your 133 ballots will "pop up!" Oh, I forgot. I'm assuming they're (church folks) as filthy minded as you!

Minnesota's problem..
probably stems from their liberal Scandanavian roots.........
Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland are damned near Socialist.......
Their governments take most of the people's pay in taxes and then provide them with what they deem to be necessary......
AND (you'll love this) at least one of those countries, (I can't recall which one) bases traffic fines on what your income is.........
e.g.. if you make $50,000 you pay twice the speeding fine as someone who makes $25,000.....

Socialism at its best (worst???)
arcman writes: Thursday, December, 04, 2008 9:41 PM
Uncalled for
That Richard is uncalled for. The Catholic Church may have had it's problems, but to accuse every Priest of molesting little boys is uncalled for and sick.

It's a good thing...
that Franken is "going to have the church searched"......
he would have to cross himself and would hiss like a demon if HE went in the church himself...
Anyone need a string of garlic around their neck??????

Ok then the GOP should demand the same search and personell identification for every polling location that leans Dem.

Fair is fair. In doing so, you could be sure you'd find 1000s of ballots going against Frankenstein.

We Conservative Minnesotans
We Minnesotans who voted for Coleman take exception to the insults towards our state. Obviously, a majority of Minnesotans voted for Coleman or this wouldn't be happening (with Franken scouring for votes like a rat for food scraps). So, please stop the insults towards our state. Thank you.

Let them search!
Let them rip the church apart in full view of the cameras.People need to see how reprehensible this poor excuse for a man is.The fact that this election is even close proves how low this country's culture has become.20years ago this ridiculous egotistic display would have been totally rejected by both parties but now the dems support it and the reeps are rendered impotent by their own past. It's going to take a lot of Al Franken type behavior for America to wake up,hopefully it won't be too late.

Aim a camera at a place with a bunch of fake Coleman ballots. Record what the searchers do.

Better yet, put cameras everywhere and bust the Franken supports finding Franken ballots under their shirts.
AmericanWoman writes: Friday, December, 05, 2008 9:53 AM
Agree, rip that church apart
in front of the cameras! And if they do find ballots, by all means count them.

In fact, why not do a run off like they did in Georgia? Then he can't cash in on Obamamania and will have to stand on his own two feet!!! We'll see if the people from MN really want him or not. That would end this farce once and for all...

AmericanWoman writes: Friday, December, 05, 2008 10:02 AM
Franken was a second rate comedian
with a flagging career who (like others in the same sinking boat) has been trying to use politics to keep himself alive in the public eye and money flowing into his bank account.

Nobody was listening to him on his crappy Air America radio show, so he started attacking Bill O'Reilly to get attention, because O'Reilly had the highest rated cable news program on the air. LOL That was funny. :D

Ballots in the church
There would be thousands of ballots for Frankenfraud there, but they ran out of paper for the Xerox machine.
Patrick writes: Friday, December, 05, 2008 10:50 AM
Al represents the democratic party......
First I feel sorry that MN is being treated this way. With that said Al Franken needs to just admit defeat and go away. Everyone watching this needs to understand that this is how the democratic party operates. Americans need to wake up and start voting the dems out. I live in GA and I vote for the republican. We down here are working to vote at all levels to remove the dems. Let us not forget that the dems do not respect the constitution or bill of rights. They only want power so they can tell us how to live and tax us into starvation so they can give it to people who do not work or should not be here. In some of those case it is both. Our founding fathers would most likely have run Al Franken out of town and possibly out of the country.
Homer writes: Friday, December, 05, 2008 10:55 AM
To all of you who have taken the
opportunity to criticize, belittle, and denigrate Minnesotan's, please consider the following.

Coleman was elected mayor of St Paul in 1993 as a Democrat. In 1996 he switched to the Republican party. Democrats were ticked and they have resented Coleman ever since.

In 2002, Coleman, with the backing of President Bush, ran against Senator Paul Wellstone (Democrat). Wellstone was killed in an airplane crash just two weeks before the election.

Former Vice President, and Senator, Walter Mondale (Democrat) was selected by the Democrats to replace Wellstone. Coleman beat Mondale and took the senate seat away from the Democrats.

In 2008, Coleman was targeted by the Democrats; Coleman was a former Democrat, he was backed by George Bush in 2002. It was time for the Democrats to get even with Coleman.

Out of 2.9 millions votes cast in November, Coleman now leads by 251 votes with 99% of the ballots recounted.

Although Minnesota voters tend to be liberal populists, they also exhibit a streak of political independence. It is estimated that 40% of voters are not reliably either Democrat or Republican.

My county, the 4th largest in the state, overwhelmingly supported Coleman (82,000) over Franken (66,000).
Duke writes: Friday, December, 05, 2008 11:01 AM
Wanna Bet...?
There's probably 1,000s of ballots, all Frankencranken ballots, stored in a closet somewhere in the church basement just waiting for someone to "find" them.

Franken's a stupid, pushy, sore-loser of a Liberal Democrat pig!

He WOULD fit in really well in D.C.
St. Denis In Red America writes: Friday, December, 05, 2008 12:04 PM
Don't worry, Franken
Since Amy Poehler left SNL, you can take her place.

We don't need comedians in the Senate considering the clowns that already have seats there.

So, don't worry Frankenstein, you can always go back to SNL...which is where you belong.
Rick writes: Friday, December, 05, 2008 12:23 PM
At least the Minnesotans have some pride
The Minnesotans have nothing on the Pennsylvanians. My God, to be insulted like they were by both the Bama and Abscam Jack Murtha and then go ahead and say, "thank you sir. Can I have another?" What a bunch of panty-wastes.Ann Coulter is right. They're not racists. They're retards.
Granite Eagle writes: Friday, December, 05, 2008 2:19 PM
Franken
Al, you had your moment in the sun playing an idiot on SNL.

Sadly, that seems to have been the only gig fit for you until you found a few million additional morons you conned into giving you votes in Minnesota.

Can anyone ever really consider that this man is suited for Washington? Actually.....given this mans stature as an clown, who has no understanding of economics, he would fit right in. They could all roll out of their electric car, noses honking, flowers squirting.......

Anyone really want to see Franken go to visit Putin? KJ Ill? Chavez?.........dare I say they would prep themselves by watching reruns of SNL where he so aptly played the overtly Gay Stuart Smalley........what a state reception that would be!!!!

How sad is it that the left gloms on to an outspoken nobody who actually has no political experience, lacks basic understanding of finance and economics........has no plan for the betterment of America! Except, maybe other than to make the progressive tax more progressive, make a play for universal health care, make a play for environmental extremism, make a play for gun control, institute same sex marriages, and most likely drive his wife further into her pit of alcoholism.......?

This guy is a perennial loser.......

Go pay your tax bill Al.......
sloandog writes: Friday, December, 05, 2008 2:45 PM
Rick, sad but true.
I was born and raised in Pa. When I go back there to visit family I can't believe the mindset of the people, this includes some of my family. My old home town is over run with illegal aliens, this has destroyed the infrastructure. It is very easy to get welfare in Pa. and the memories of the lost union manufacturing jobs breed contempt for the government. On one hand people complain about the illegals and the crime and loss of jobs to them on the other hand they keep voting in liberal dems just because they support unions. They care nothing for our country and have become lazy gutless wonders who feel entitled to have a better life even though they didn,t earn it.

No one is disparaging the entire state of Minnesota. We are questioning the intelligence of those who voted for a clown.

BTW, I love your Governor... and, this woman from Louisiana maxed out on contributions for Coleman.
