I am really fed up with people who try to tie atheism to a belief in Anthropogenic Global Warming. There is no scientific basis for such a belief. CO2 cannot account for the warming and neither can the sun (sorry solar enthusiasts, the sun just doesn't vary enough).
AGW is a power play intended to magnify the state and and reduce the individual to serfdom. Those of you old enough to remember the Ice Age scare of thirty years ago may also remember that the "solution" advocated was the same as the one now advocated for GW - abrogation of property rights.
Belief in AGW is as irrational as belief in God. But at least Christians can take some comfort in their belief in a benevolent God that will take care of them in the next world. Cap and Trade offers mankind nothing but the chance to starve to death in frigid darkness. |

Dershowitz sees no middle ground when it comes to Gaza and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict there, so there is no reason to think he is going to support President Obama's reasoned stance regarding the issues in that region.
