Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama told a seven year old girl he was running for president because America had changed at a recent campaign stop. “America is …, uh, is no longer, uh … what it could be, what it once was. And I say to myself, I don’t want that future for my children,” he told supporters in Elkhart, Indiana. Roll the tape: H/T Hot Air where Ed Morrissey is linking videos of Obama's wife, Michelle, saying similar things.

You answered Kimberly in an intelligent manner; unfortunately, she is a knee-jerk liberal. She is so busy posting her garbage (if it was on newsprint it would contaminate any fish wrapped in it, or kill any bird whose cage was lined with her acidic responses), she cannot be bothered to answer anything. She is a hit and run poster with NO real brains as proved by her lack of critical thought of any kind. Her BDS has eaten her brains apparently. |

He has a hard time being mean to anyone outside the party. |

Why am I not surprised Obama is doing a fund raiser in Switzerland! Since those damn Swiss are going to destroy the planet and kill us all. http://ace.mu.nu/archives/270184.php http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,570487,00 .html
There is nothing good from Switzerland. Except fondue. Fondue is good. Chocolate there is pretty good too.
This could even be bigger than Y2K. |

If America is so bad, why do people risk their lives every single day trying to cross our borders to make a better life for their families? Something doesn't add up. |
|
wow, simply, wow. Obama's shown why his handlers won't let him near a townhall-style, off-the-teleprompter debate with McCain. Obama is incoherent; if McCain said anything like that, the MSM would be writing to send him to a nursing home instead of the White House.
Nice "either or", both-sides-of-the-issue message, too: one spouse says they're proud of America for the first time; the other says "we're not what we once were, or what we could be". Which is it?? |

your baseless torture claim against the President. you might not like him but he is a very Human person and as our commander in chief deserves at least respect. Around the office we once took a pool, you know how the civilian world has a take your kids to school day, we came up with another game...you see there was the ACLU claiming our "poor puppies were being tortured" next we were all saying "maybe they should take one of these guys home for maybe an hour...you see..these are trained murderers, the front door and everyone inside would be dead...imagine that." Ask any of the prisoners at gtmo if they want to go home and they will answer "no" reason being there they don't know where their next meal is coming from. They didn't get medical services, lacked all immunizations, were covered in lice, caked dust and the only thing resembling humanity was their demand for a few moments of prayer. This I know, so don't try to disuade me because we "the U.S. spent hundreds of thousands of dollars providing for this care, their balance meals, their soccer balls, their clean outfits...do they want to go home...NO THEY WILL BE EXECUTED there. either that or they will kill one of heroes in the front lines...which would you prefer? are you volunteering, for I am not volunteering my husband to become the terrorists next target. enough said. |

Well, let's see...
- Federalism is largely dead. - Limited government is dead. - Fiscal Responsibility is dead. - We have a gargantuan powerful government full of waste, fraud, and corruption. - Congress is a subordinate branch of government. - We have a President claiming powers that George the III would have envied. - The Feds can seize your property at the border for any reason for any length of time. - Feds and local cops routinely perform no-knock raids on private homes often on flimsy evidence or allegations and the Court is okay with that. - There are so many laws on the books Prosecutors could probably put any one of us in jail or through great legal expense at their whim (if they chose to do so). - We have a socialist school system. - We are the world's policeman.
And that's leaving out most of the last eight years.
Have their been positive changes? Absolutely.
- Prosperity is largely up. - Most of us have probably never experienced any of the potential violations the State could do to us, so we still enjoy more freedom than most countries (including the freedom to talk about problems). - Women and minorities enjoy far more protections and rights today than ever in our history. - We don't know poverty at the level other nations do. |

Why does nobody in the press ask for clarification on all his cryptic anti-American rhetoric. What is he talking about? I want specifics. How in any way is America worse off now then ever before? Our health care is second to none. Our economy is strong, despite its ups and downs. We live an abundant life full of all kinds of opportunity.
What does he mean 'what it could be'? I think we know that answer. He wants America to be a communist state, a place where everyone receives an equal monthly allowance, where we work government assigned jobs, have very few personal possessions, and all live in fear of his citizen police force turning us into the Feds because we had the audacity to question his fascist utopia. |

the girl who asked him the question is 7! Nice answer, Barack. |

Just like the fire coming from his eyes as a member of the audience challenged he hadn't proclaimed his allegiance to the flag and the hate in his voice as he (obama) recited it. He should leave, take that ingrate wife of his who couldn't couldn't even try to make the words she uttered to the military dependents thanking their husbands/wifes for their sacrifice were sincere, and it seemed more painful than the removal of a wisdom tooth with a wrench. Oh and don't let the door hit you on the "POMPIS" on the way out! good riddance! |

Okay, I am not trying to kill Pawlenty's chances with this. Personally I would prefer Palin or Romney as Veep, but Pawlenty would be fine. But I think Pawlenty's sentiments are correct. The correct approach with Obama is attack him when warranted and focus on McCain's positives (which are real despite some of the Conservative Balkan Serbians here at TH). |

Neocarterism, coming this November!
Or as The Robot on Lost in Space used to say: Malaise Malaise. Danger Conservative Voter Danger! |

This guy is so full of BS! Not what it once was? Not what it could be? Just in my lifetime we have made enormous strides in civil rights, medicine, and economics, to name only three. Theoretically could it have been better? Sure, theoretically. Yes, we are not what we once were, we are way way better. Not what we could be. Yes, it ain't heaven on earth, but it is as close as we have ever been. Always with the negative waves Barack/Dems, always with the negative waves. The glass is always half empty. This guy needs therapy. lol |
|
what an ungrateful piece of work ...
never worked a hard day in his life and all he can do is whine ...
Paris Hilton works her as* off compared to this guy and his whinfe ...

Typical liberal bulls--t! And they wonder why we question their patriotism! |
|
Now he's talking like a conservative.
I thought those progressives were only allowed to move forward. Talk about a gaffe. This won't get the play it should, but this is probably the biggest gaffe of the campaign.
I'm all for rolling back time and getting back to conservative values!! GO OBAMA-(R) GO! |
|

...just continues to echo in the messages of this B. Hussein messiah. His Illustrious Self will save and redeem this worthless land from the evil white folk who have so sullied it. The unworthy typical white people will be put in their place, and America will be ushered into what it used to be...but, uh, err, uhhh,...I thought the messiah wanted CHANGE. |

America is horrible. We want an America where a black man can run for Prez. Where a black woman can earn lots o' money. Where, oops... |
