As we would say in North Carolina, "that boy ain't right."
John Edwards, the Left's everyman, has gotten two $400 haircuts in the last two months.
Which I post for no other reason than to post this pre-YouTube, campaign video classic: The Choice (very slight content warning)
This video was as viral as it got politically in 2004, and had YouTube been around then, the views would likely have been out of this world. Great work.
Correction: I obviously put the updates for the Va. Tech story on the wrong post. My bad. Fixed now.

"on Fredo you are right"
But you spent two post arguing the contrary! ROFL!
As for troop funding, I don't think the Dems are playing hardball enough. If it were up to me, I'd tie funding to re-instituting the draft.
There is no short-term military solution in Iraq. Our volunteer troops are spread way too thin, and there is no way to accomplish "victory" with this meager surge. It is just a delaying tactic so that Bush can spread part of the blame to the next President.
Unfortunately, the Dems don't have the balls to call Bush's surge bluff. |

bloggers...i follow the WC Fields philosophy about who not to argue with...
"sleeping with the fishes" refers to a mob hit where the body is disposed in a watery grave; on Fredo you are right, but on general terms - a guy blown up in a car or thrown into a meat grinder is not "sleeping with the fishes"...just a clarification
Kerry point again...yeah, despicable, I know it's a rough word; keep it handy, use it often; try obsequious or mendacious or meretricious or obstreperous also neat words - i tend to save these words for special occasions/people; sorry Kurt you're not quite bad enough
i support troops fully & hope you also see the error in the Congress trying to blackmail the president with threats to de-fund the war unless he signs on to pork programs used to buy votes...thanks also for admitting you may not respect their political beliefs...Al Gore had a similar position where he didn't want to allow soldiers to vote, very disturbing; were you on board with Al on this position? I fully support the right for all Americans to vote including soldiers
That about covers it...the balance of you comments are...yep, good Kurt get it all out - purge that bile - skip dinner & try an enema!

"he sleeps with the fishes" was offered for Brazzi not Fredo...
But what does the line mean. That he was murdered by the mob. So was Fredo. Anyone murdered by the mob can be said to be sleeping with the fishes. Or aren't you smart enough to figure that out?
On Kerry, I think you are despicable, as I think the WBC is despicable for protesting at the funerals of our troops. I've been against the Iraq War from the start, but I love and respect our troops, no matter their political beliefs. I just might not respect their political beliefs.
Do you see & understand the difference between mine and your opinion on Vets?
Please, keep your shotgun for your own mouth. I ain't afraid of no terrorists. Why? Because that is exactly what they want, for you to live in fear of them.
And is your last paragraph some kinda code for you are an effin' moron? :-p |
|
ad hominem insult, the highest compliment the line from godfather..."he sleeps with the fishes" was offered for Brazzi not Fredo...sounds like you're on the verge of a Rosie hissy moonbat fit...are you hanging upside down yet?
btw...kerry is our state junior senator and his long troubling anti-American, flip-flopping voting record (when he even showed up) speaks for itself...i am not despicable, and neither are you; i have my opinions & beliefs & you yours; your views on Kerry differ from mine - i certainly don't consider him an honorable man/veteran & wouldn't want him covering my back in a foxhole...my opinion again, shared by more people than share your view, including many who served with him
when the terrorists arrive at your doorstep (hopefully that day will never come, but if it does)...that'll be me (figuratively) covering your arse with my shotgun, my dear fellow American...cause i'd do the same for Kerry or Rosie or any other moonbat
i never even got into puff-mamma buttocks hillary & hussein nicotene obama, moon(bat)-walkin across the stage with michael jackson to the sweet "effin" lyrics of Mims, Jeezy or Crime Mob...lighten up man...every day of life is full of comedy & tragedy, as we all know too well |

I'm SO glad that conservatives are once again showing their disdain for class warfare - what a great study in hypocracy! |
|
|
Like you were likely to vote for him if he got a $10 haircut, lived in a log cabin, and went on Fox?! |
|
|
The fact that he spends $400 for a haircut, lives in a HUGE HUGE HUGE mansion, and will not go on Fox to share his politics, with their millons of viewers, is enough for me! He's toast. |
|
And so did Fredo.
Fredo's body was dumped in the lake. And fish do live in lakes.
And only a chickensh*t coward denigrates a soldiers service to their country. Basically, you are virtually spitting in the face of a Vet!
You, "Ga," are despicable. |
|
Not Fredo... video provides some satirical humor, I would have enjoyed it more if Teddy K. had been shown in the background sitting in his morris chair stuffing down jelly donuts, sipping chivas while tapping his toes to the tune; add john kerry with the herman munster countenance, complaining about the shrapnel he shot into his own arse in vietnam preventing him from dancing along & you've got some real comedy...get a sense of humor or hang yourself upside down & chill out like moon-BAT rosie |

For $10.50 I get a nice high fade at the local barber shop. I am curious to know what comes with a $400 haircut. The hairstylist must use some expensive shampoo and conditioner but that can't make even half of the $400. Is there a happy ending or something? |

Now, how about we talk about Dick Cheney's tax refund?! |

When Edwards talks about "the two Americas," does he have a clue which America he lives in? |
|
Despite Tragedy, Edwards Hair Still in Race
DES MOINES -- Just hours after tragedy cut short John Edwards’ run for the Democrat nomination in Iowa, the Edwards campaign announced that the candidate’s hair will “definitely stay in the race”.
In making the announcement, Jose Eber, Edwards' Senior Domestic Policy Advisor, reinforced the theme of the campaign, "One of the reasons that John wanted to be president of the United States is to make sure that every woman and every person in America gets access to the same products that he has, whatever the expense”. Edwards’ plan would require employers to provide universal hair care to all individuals at a cost of $90 billion to $120 billion. “While John is unable to continue, his hair will serve as an inspiration to both Americas”, Eber said.
Edwards himself suffered massive brain trauma and remains in intensive care at Des Moines Medical Center following a day of turmoil on the campaign trail. What began as a typical meet, greet and stump speech, ended with both the candidate and a supporter hospitalized. Initial reports from the scene were that, during the Edwards’ speech, a supporter collapsed. Emergency medical technicians were on site for the event and quickly moved to transport the patient to nearby DMC. As the ambulance drove away, Edwards suddenly leaped from the platform and sprinted after it. The two collided when the vehicle made a sudden stop. Supporters on the scene looked on in horror as their candidate crumbled to the ground. One witness, who wished only to be identified as Madge, said Edwards “just lit up and took off like a greyhound -- I guess it was just instinct taking over”.
Edwards’ hair was treated, rinsed, and released to resume the campaign.

Yes, pro-torture, pro-unprovoked-war, anti-habeas-corpus, anti-due-process, these are the "Liberal" ideals of modern-day conservatives! [/sarcasm]
Ben Franklin must be spinning like a centrifuge in his grave! |
|
|
Exactly what is the point of this nonsense? 32 innocent people were slaughtered in Virginia and all the right wing cares about is how much John Edwards spent for a hair cut. Last time around it was John Kerry's manicure and his windsurfing misadventure. Grow up and get a life! |
|
having to pay for WMDs. Paying for a gov't where political hacks rewrite the studies of real scientists. Paying to put people in jail for non-violent Drug offenses. I detest paying for corporate welfare & paying for a gov't that listens more to lobbyists than taxpayers & voters!
But hey, I'm sure some people are actually so heartless that they hate paying for cheaper meds for our aging elders. Paying for the education of our youths. |

By these definitions, American Liberals are neither of these definitions and the American Convservaties would be defined as Liberals. Liberals are constantly showing the "evils" of people and attempting to stomp them out by any means necessary. Liberals respect nothing more than their single cause or two causes and whatever damage they cause in that pursuit, so what. Modern American Liberals are more in line with twisted Anarchists, "do whatever you want, unless you offend me, then I'll do the thinking for you."
kurttrail "Liberalism - A political theory founded on the natural goodness of humans and the autonomy of the individual and favoring civil and political liberties, government by law with the consent of the governed, and protection from arbitrary authority. [http://www.bartleby.com/61/89/L0148900.html]
Conservatism - A political philosophy or attitude emphasizing respect for traditional institutions, distrust of government activism, and opposition to sudden change in the established order. [http://www.bartleby.com/61/17/C0581700.html]" |

Edwards America $400 = 1 haircut
The other America $400 = food for family of 4 for 1 month.
|
|
Whether its ficticious love of the environment from Al Gore and his carbon credits or its $400 haircuts for the Breck Girl or Lurch and then they tell us how they can empathize with us common Americans....why do people buy their BS??
I would vote for a guy or gal that looked like Yoda if they were actually a TRUE fiscal and social conservative. I could give a flying @#** what the heck they look like. |
|
|
A political theory founded on the principle of using the power of government to coerce people into "contributing" to causes they detest. |
|
|
If the politics of hairdos an important campaign issue for you? |
|
M-Kat,
I think you're frustrating some of the lefties, so they're responding with junior high school taunts.
See, they can't defeat your arguments, so they're trying to defeat your...headband !
|
|
Nice to see you're unafraid to take on the hard topics!
What's next -- a six week "sabbatical" so you can get dental veneers and a boobjob before sending your resume to Fox? |
|
I thought Michael had you sleeping with the fishes. ;-)
And at the moment my beard is longer than the Iranian President's beard. You do realize, he keeps his beard cut much too short to braid, right?
And Bush ain't no "cowboy." And neither was John "Marion" Wayne. And Ronald Reagan really wasn't the Gipper. These guys just make believe that they are/were those people.
Liberalism - A political theory founded on the natural goodness of humans and the autonomy of the individual and favoring civil and political liberties, government by law with the consent of the governed, and protection from arbitrary authority. [http://www.bartleby.com/61/89/L0148900.html]
I'm proud to be called a Liberal, as would George Washington, Ben Franklin, and Tom Jefferson. Any American that does not self-identify as a Liberal, I ask you, what are you then, a communist, a monarchist, a fascist, an anarchist, or a theocratist?
You certainly are not an American Conservative if you don't believe in Liberalism!
Conservatism - A political philosophy or attitude emphasizing respect for traditional institutions, distrust of government activism, and opposition to sudden change in the established order. [http://www.bartleby.com/61/17/C0581700.html]
In other words, a Conservative is someone who believes in maintaining the status quo, and in America that status quo is LIBERALISM! |
|
How many billions have gone missing since Bush took his throne?
What you should be reporting is that the Edwards campaign seems to be paying for these expensive hair cuts.
Comedy-wise, video lame and way too long. And also isn't the video of Bush from before he was President?
But I do love Bush's very Christian salute at the end. |

C'Mon y'all, the guy destroys the OB/GYN industry in NC, builds a 28,000 sq ft mansion for 4 people and lives on 120 secluded and fenced in acres. What MORE would you expect from this Dhimmicrat turd? |
|
There certainly are "two Americas."
There are those folks who pay for a haircut at Supercuts, and then there are those folks who pay $400 for a haircut at a European style salon who pretend to empathize with the folks who go to Supercuts.
