"LIVE" Blogging from St. Paul
Posted by: Kevin McCullough at 11:17 PM

"HOME RUN er... GRAND SLAM!"

Major screw up by FoxNews - when they decided to go with Hannity&Colmes instead of cutting to the floor when Romney came on stage...

11:02pm - Harry Reid, "I don't like John McCain!" (No better accolade)

10:58pm - "Terrorists want to attack and inflict catastrophic harm, and he wants to read them their rights..."

10:56pm - "Styrofoam columns hauled back to the studio lot."

10:55pm - "Our opponent has penned two memoirs, but not even a single piece of legislation."

10:54pm - "Because drilling won't solve EVERY energy problem we have - is no reason to do nothing."

10:49pm - "As a Chief Executive..." (a phrase you didn't hear last week...)

10:46pm - "Serve the common good, and leave this nation better than we found it!"

10:46pm - "I'm not going to Washington to seek the media's good opinion, I'm going to Washington to serve this great country!"

10:44pm - "We prefer candidates who don't talk about us one way in Scranton and another way in San Francisco!"

10:43pm - "I guess that a small town mayor is sort of like a community organizer - except that you have actual responsibilities."

10:42pm - "Know the difference between a hockey mom and a bulldog... LIPSTICK!"

10:41pm - "I know those people, they grow our food, they fight our wars, and they're ALWAYS proud of America!"

10:39pm - "Every woman can walk through every door of opportunity!"

10:38pm - "He's still my guy!"

10:38pm - "To the families of special needs children, I pledge to you - you will have a friend and advocate in the White House."

10:36pm - Standing ovation for the troops... (never saw that at the Dems)

10:32pm - VERY VERY STRONG feisty fighter in the opening statements!

10:29pm - LONG standing ovation... she accepts... another long ovation.

10:28pm - All eyes on Palin - the women in the building are euphoric!

10:18pm - Rudy - " When the Democrats gave up on a Iraq, they gave up on America... The Senate Leader for the Democrats said, 'This war is lost.' Well the John McCain got it right and the Senate Democrats got it wrong..."

10:16pm - Rudy - It is pretty telling but the energy issue is a lightening rod ADVANTAGE for the GOP. The "drill baby drill" crowd chants - were loud and intense!

10:13pm - Rudy - "Change is not a destination, just like hope is not a strategy!"

10:10pm - Rudy - "It's not a personal attack, Barack Obama has no experience, none, NADA!"

10:08pm - Rudy - "He couldn't figure out whether to vote yes or no... it was too tough... he voted 'present'!"

10:05pm - Rudy - "He loves America just as YOU do! But he has sacrificed for it as FEW do!"

10:03pm - Rudy - "That's right U S A!" (Hey - does ANYONE remember the Democrats EVER chanting - U S A?)

9:34pm - Huckabee - "Palin got more votes running for mayor of Wasilla Alaska than Joe Biden did running for President of the United States!"

9:34pm - Huckabee - "McCain doesn't want someone to redefine marriage!"

9:32pm - Huckabee - "I'm not a Republican because I grew up rich, I am a Republican because I did not want to spend the rest of my life waiting for the government to rescue me."

9:31pm - Huckabee - "Fact is friends most people don't want MORE government, they want less government!"

9:30pm - Huckabee: "There are some things we do NOT want to change!"

9:29pm - Huckabee: "The presidency is not an honorary job!"

9:27pm - Huckabee: "The reporting of the last few days have proven tackier than the costume change at a Madonna concert."

9:18pm - Fox is still being idiots running interviews with also rans and has beens - LAME!!!!

9:17pm "President McCain and Vice President Palin - will keep America as it has always been - the hope of the world!"

9:16pm Mitt is wooing the faithful, a well crafted speech that is evoking multiple breakouts of "USA USA USA."

Palin's speech
What a phenomenal speech! She was powerful and comfortable in all that she said. Now watch--MSM will report this as 'mean-spirited' and angry! She's terrific!

Change?
I guess every politician has to talk about change, but I think here we can state objectively that it is hogwash here. Have McCain or Palin made any substantial criticisms about the Bush administration? What would they actually change? Another surge would not actually be change for example, because we've already had one and "victory is right around the corner" now just like they've been saying since 6 months after we decided to muck around in Iraq.

Well there was some talk about alternative energy sources, and we heard lots of talk about that from Bush, but I think we can all agree he didn't accomplish anything substantive on that front. Why? Because it wasn't a priority!

LOL'ing at Allen and twomay!!!!!!
Listen to you babies...

Now we KNOW we're on the right track!

And btw twomay - McCain OPENLY criticized BUSH repeatedly during BOTH terms of the BUSH administration.

Of course if you knew anything about the political picture, had ever read anything besides the New York Times and ever spent time listening to anyone's actual analysis of the campaign and not just the Obamabots mindless talking points - you might even know this for yourself.

Truth is - Palin kicked your boy in the teeth last night - and YOU HAVE no substance to refute her with - so you've got to resort to being the whiney diapered twosome that you two long to be!

Yes... a rather great night all in all!

Oh quit plaing with yourself, Kevin
Palin delivered a scripted speech written for her by a man. These weren't the words of a "Hockey Mom" - it was a script.

She didn't speak of anything substantial and resorted to trite scarcastic jibes at the expense of a man with far more garce and eloquence then she could ever muster.

You are going to lose in November - and I personally cannot WAIT to come here and rub your nose in it :)

Keep telling yourself that!

Sarah Palin in a grand slam home run last night! She made Obama look like a complete fool! Her teleprompter actually broke during her speech! I would love to see your false messiah give a speech without a teleprompter. Actually we have and it was not pretty!

You really need to get of your dorm room more often!
