In Case You Don't Regularly Watch The Today Show
Posted by: Jonathan Garthwaite at 1:40 PM
Thanks to the web, nobody has to watch Matt Lauer live. ? Thanks to Matt Drudge shaming NBC into retreat from a lifetime ban for Coulter, she appeared on the show this morning.

And if you want a copy of Ann's new book, you can get a FREE copy with a subscription to Townhall Magazine.

liberal shills w revisionist history
Lola is a 'perfect' libtard as she enjoys disrespecting anyone who disagrees w/ her warped world view. I know what the C. stands for now. Revisionist history is the only fuel in their vehicle. Liberalism is a brain disorder. And "Lerxst"; there is no decency in Lola.
I'm proud of my fellow Mainer; "MaineConservative", who @ 8:14 hit the nail on the head.

ALL YOU SOCIAL CONSERVATIVES DO IS WHINE ABOUT YOUR BIBLES WHILE YOU JUST SIT THERE WHILE BUSH HANDS OUT BILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

YOU GAVE UP FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR MORALITY AND NOW WE REPUBLICANS ARE DONE WITH YOU.

GO START YOUR OWN PARTY.

Amusing...
All of you outraged at the shillness of Coulter and NBC banning her for life (for 24 hours anyway) because she says negative things about Obama. This from a network that employs Keith Olberman. Do you not see the irony here? Window Washer, your thoughts?

Single Motherhood
Ask any child who grew up in a single parent home, and he or she will tell you, he or she wished for the other parent. Talk to them about their experiences (even if they were rich) and he or she will tell you, how lonely they felt. There is NOTHING RIGHT ABOUT SINGLE PARENTING, NOTHING!

The country is uniting - huh??????
Matt says people are coming together - huh?

1. Reid kicks Burris out because...he does not like blacks considering his mormon faith, he does not like Blogo considering his senate recommendations were overlooked, he does not like respecting the rule of law considering Burris' appointment was legal...whatever the reason, IT AINT UNITY.

2. Hussein becomes a curse word. Matt is arguing that using Barak's middle name is a 'negative thing'. Michelle asks 'who would name their kid barak, at the DNC convention' and americans decide that it's cool to have a foreign inexperienced man because 'he can't do worse than Bush'.....it's going to be a tough day when they realize he can and he will do worse than Bush. I WANT MY RIGHT TO USE THE PRESIDENT-ELECT'S NAME AS I SEE FIT WITHOUT SUSPICION.

3. Blogo gets accused of joining the pay to play Obama saga. He says he did not do anything wrong. His cronies including Obama ask him to resign, he says NO DEAL and appoints a senator who will be seated this week. I THINK THE UNITY ARGUMENT JUST WENT OUT THE DOOR IN CHICAGO POLITICS.

4. Frankenstein and Coleman take their election to court. MN IS NOT UNITED.......

5. Caroline wants to use a seat at the senate as a you know, a you know - a day job distraction from her sociolite life. Other democrats have problems with that......but want to seem amicable to a kennedy who is completely unarguably the least experienced for that position compared to other candidates. NY DEMOCRATS NOT UNITED ABOUT SENATE APPOINTMENT.

6. Hussein picks Warren to conduct the invocation. Liberals go nuts and ask him to disinvite him because - here is my favorite reason - he is intolerable of them. AND THIS WAS THE UNITY MATT IS TALKING ABOUT????

The evidence shows a DISUNITED COUNTRY,AND THAT IS JUST WITHIN THE DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP SIDE.....the other 47% just want this nightmare to stop.

Did we ever figure out where hussein was born? based on a doctor's signature?

Actually the "fetching Mrs..." comment originates with one of the major bloggers here at Townhall. It's not one of mine but then you wouldn't know that as all you do is spew bile at the blogger in question.

And as I said to Bob I am not apologizing for Ann Coulter, nor am I a fan. I used the expression "wannabe-comedian" for a reason.

"posturing about the attributes of 'the mrs', just help pave the way for divisiveness"

Possibly the single most ridiculous comment you have ever made. If referring to one's spouse in a flattering way "pave[s] the way for divisiveness" then you truly have a sick mind and I suggest some kind of counselling as you are way beyond help from any of us. That really is a new low for you.

You still don't get it.

Key para in the whole article.....
"The authors argue that in reducing royalty payments, the publisher is maximizing its profits and the profits of its parent company at their expense"

Yes, the authors are getting screwed (on some of their sales and good luck to them in their suit) but the publisher is MAXIMIZING its profits.

In my original post I said "No business in the world would be so stupid as to manufacture something and then sell "millions" at a huge loss."

On line bookstores like Amazon used to do similar things and may still do for all I know. Sell you a book and then offer to buy it back so they could sell the second hand copy royalty free. Business is about making money.

"I barely ever agreed with a single word Bill Hicks ever said but he was one of the funniest people I ever saw."

Huh. I had to google to find out who he was, and nothing in the wikipedia article rang a bell at all. And I used to go to the Comedy Store quite a bit when I was living in LA in the early 80's.

For once we agree. You may notice that I haven't actually said word one in praise of Ms Coulter's views. Only an hour or so ago I remarked to the fetching Mrs Lerxst how few people get it that Coulter is a wannabe-comedian first and a political commentator second.

You know I barely ever agreed with a single word Bill Hicks ever said but he was one of the funniest people I ever saw.

"her book is currently sitting at #9 on the Amazon book list."

I personally have no trouble with that. Coulter is an entertainer, and does a very good job at it. It's not a form of entertainment that I find at all worthwhile, but that's true of a lot of things: the "Left Behind" books, professional wrestling, NASCAR, swords-and-sorcery fantasy, slasher movies, etc. etc. To translate from the Latin: "There can be no disputing that Gus is in the West." (De gustibus non disputandum est.)

Coulter has actually found quite an interesting niche; some of her income is from sales to people who think that buying her books is an expression of patriotism or loyalty or political activism. Of course that's true of other books too -- Obama's for example -- but Coulter has made it into a cottage industry with a half-dozen or so such books over a decade or more.

More power to her. I don't know if she actually convinces anyone of anything, but if she does they probably weren't going to vote the liberal ticket anyway.

(Lerxst, I have little sympathy for your plea to have your name spelled correctly.)

Doesn't mean Townhall got it from the Publisher for free. Good try though.

Give my a shout when your "free" book shows up at your door and you have found a way to get it without being parted from $34.95 via that ad.

Sorry Lerxst... Annie's book is FREE

Lerxst said: "That's just plain nuts. It doesn't make an ounce of business sense..."

Actually Lerxst you may be right if this was about "business sense" BUT that's not the conservative way. Bite, Fright and Spite what ever the cost.

If you scroll to the top of this page you too can get a FREE copy of Ms Congenial's new book.

Anns new column
Just went up on TH.
This one should push our resident sub-bridge dwellers into a total frenzy.

"an NBC insider told The Drudge Report: "We are just not interested in anyone so highly critical of President-elect Obama, right now," explaining that "it's such a downer. It's just not the time, and it's not what our audience wants, either."

Some cheese with your whine, NBC?

That's just plain nuts. It doesn't make an ounce of business sense. If that were even vaguely true then the publisher would be out of busines in a heartbeat. No business in the world would be so stupid as to manufacture something and then sell "millions" at a huge loss. I seriously doubt the print run was anywhere near that big in the first place. Her average hard cover sales for past books have been in the 3-400K range.

Once again you prove how ignorant you are of even the basics of business.

"it's hard to keep herself in dominatrix gear when she's seeing only a fraction of those dollar books."

Huh? You just told us only 6 posts further up the page how she had made millions...which is it? You are becoming so wrapped up in your ugly bile you can't even keep your lies straight on one post.
Lerxst writes: Wednesday, January, 07, 2009 9:05 PM
Yep, Ann is so irrelevant...
...that her book is currently sitting at #9 on the Amazon book list...a mere 23 places above the only other political book in the top 50 by some guy called Obama. At least Ann writes her own books.

"Wheedle, lie, noun, whine, deny, verb".
Throw in offend, disgust and insult and you have your average Lola post. Nice to see you actually watched or read something you are spouting your usual disgusting filth about. Makes a change.

"queen of the bitter word dominatrixes"
Pot, Kettle. I don't recall Ann ever calling her opponents skanks and whores or thugs and tools. It's interesting that you of all people should criticize Ann for making millions from bitter words. Jealousy is a nasty all consuming emotion. It must really eat you up to know she's so much better at it than you are.
Ex-tex writes: Wednesday, January, 07, 2009 7:16 PM
Ann was AWESOME! Baitin' the libtards
is what she does best. Lauer and Harry Smith are the phoniest "what Liberal media??" pansies out there.

Too bad more of our "conservative" beta-male pundit class doesn't have the courage that Annie has.

And, God Bless her, she's right!

I had to turn the channel when this came on this morning. The kids were eating breakfast, and you never know what is going to come out of her mouth. Honestly, I can't stand either of them.

For those who think she 'killed'
Guess what folks, whatever else Coulter did today she told American voters of every political stripe that because they were single mothers, their were dooming their children to lives as strippers, criminals, and social outcasts.

With this woman as a shill for conservative values, how many more women do you think the GOP lost today?

By the way, if you'd like to see a real woman's reaction to Coulter's latest diatribe, go over to 'your blogs' and read the featured blog of the day by AmericanSweetheart and see what she has to say on the subject.

Thank God she did not call Matt a
well you know what.

Actually, while I generally find Coulter annoying and a person more out for Coulter than conservatives, she was spot on with NBC on this. She did a good job.
bryce1 writes: Wednesday, January, 07, 2009 4:35 PM
L Zimmer you are correct
This is a very serious issue, particularly in Alaska where party favorite Sarah Palin is govenor.

It is well known that Palin's own teenage daughter is an unwed mother. Today the CDC announced that while the non-marital birth rate has seen a yearly increase of 3%, in Alaska it has risen 19 PERCENT!

Hmmm...I wonder how much focus the Right will place on the state where Palin is chief as an epicenter of this national ill?
Reset writes: Wednesday, January, 07, 2009 3:46 PM
She has a valid point
Coulter has a valid point backed by evidence. Liberals don't want to hear that their ideology ruins lives and brings the very things that they say they want to stop (racism, poverty, starvation, etc.)

Meanwhile, they sit up in Capitol Hill sipping on brandy and rolling in money.
Frank writes: Wednesday, January, 07, 2009 2:23 PM
