No more talk
We need action... filibusters, speeches, exercising of the same powers the other side has used for years.

What happened to Kyl?

The Republicans just need to get unifed
to make a run at Obama and his leftist illuminati cabinet in 2012. The party is already too divided and needs to get back to its conservative roots.

Go Big John....
John Boehner should have been the GOP candidate for President.

His common sense approach to government--while esteeming conservative values--would have turned the tide.

He is definitely a contender. He clearly understands the numbers--and sees that what Americans want is an open process--that is inclusive of all points of view--and presents the pro and cons of decision making--to the public.

He'll go far.

Are you the brother of that autistic detective who is afraid to leave the house for the last 30 years?

Just kidding Bob.

I don't want a return to either pack of morons - Bush admin or Clinton. Not sure I can tell the difference actually. Except Bush seems like a noble and honest incompetant whereas Clinton was just devious.

These guys are right about these Clinton retreads. You are exchanging one gang of criminals for another gang of criminals. It's going by be fun to watch the Democrats emulate the Republicans by shooting themselves in their collective heads. Obama is showing himself to be every bit as bad as Bush. Some "change".

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Doesn't matter Munck....
if they served under Bush.......
I called them DC insiders which is exactly what they are......
you missed the point......
or are you dense???????
Cottonmouth writes: Thursday, November, 20, 2008 1:04 AM
Boehner has to go
Can someone please tell me why the GOP keeps putting this complete and total failure in charge?

How many seats have been lost under his leadership? 40? 50? 60?!?

We need some new blood in there. How many times are we going to bang our head against the wall before we realize IT HURTS!?
max writes: Thursday, November, 20, 2008 12:19 AM
How did they let a girl on there?
Aren't they afraid thye'll get cooties?

"Obama has picked every DC insider he can find for his new cabinet"

None of the people you've listed served in the Bush administration, right? Remember, what we're changing FROM is Bush.

I have great hope for Daschle as a fellow SD native. He's obviously being put in that position to ram health care through Congress, and he's exactly the right guy to do it.
foxmustang writes: Thursday, November, 20, 2008 12:04 AM
Munck.....
Obama has picked every DC insider he can find for his new cabinet, transition team, and advisors....

Rahm Emanuel
John Podesta
Tom Daschle
Eric Holder
Hillary Clinton

now THERE'S change you can believe in......

HOPEFUL SIGN
I agree Rep Boehner needs to step down but with Eric Cantor as Whip and Mike Pence as Republican Conf Chair there might be a light at the end of the tunnel. Given some room for Obama to present his ideas and policies, this team not only needs to say no to liberal ideas but present positive alternatives.
Tazzmax writes: Wednesday, November, 19, 2008 5:39 PM
VP, I won't hold my breath
until they oppose amnesty and I have no faith in them at all.
Either they,re too arrogant and stubborn to listen to us "little people", or they're just plain stupid.
Virginia Patriot writes: Wednesday, November, 19, 2008 4:39 PM
They Better Oppose Amnesty....
Like their lives depended on it.

Because it does.

If the GOP wants to survive they must represent the citizens and not the employers of the illegal aliens. They must not abandon the rule of law and American sovereignty. One treasnonous party is enough. We don't need two.
Screwtape writes: Wednesday, November, 19, 2008 4:35 PM
Boehner needs to step down
Pence needs to be the leader.

I have very little hope for this team.
