The Bright Side of the Senate Madness

The 111th is two Democratic Senate seats shorts for now--which is good news for the taxpayer.
Both Roland Burris and Al Franken were denied from the Senate's swearing-in ceremony today. Without those two Democratic senators officially installed the 41 Senate Republicans will be able to more effectively block President-elect Barack Obama's big-ticket agenda items, like the stimulus bill.
I'll be on Cavuto in the 4pm hour to discuss this further.

I think the 80% comes from a poll CNN conducted on Dec 1st/2nd and was actually the approval figure for the way Obama is handling the transition. Rasmussen has his numbers running in the high 60s at the moment.

You mean minus the gays and atheists and ,now the Palestine sympathizers ,who will be the next group from this coalition of haters to drop out? |

I like it and I don't doubt he'll be seated, knowing the Democrats. Al will be a perfect addition to our Imperial Romanized senate. Just think, we'll have a real joke sitting amongst other jokes that are our dear "leaders". He'll become the poster boy on why the 17th amendment needs to go.
I look forward to comedy that will be much funnier than anything Franken did on SNL. |

I love your posted Bryce. I had dream to earth all American before vote for the Democrat. Now, it's time for them to learn their lesson. I kekpt told them over and over. Now, I am hurt too because I have to pay such a higher taxes follwing My income.

(if things were to become better under demo rule)LOL.What do you think the line on that would be! Of course congress did pass the all important Watermelon month and their own pay raises! |
|
You lost me at "racism" OncealwaysaMarine. It's frivolous and ridiculous to throw that word around.
Let's give the Dems credit when they do something right! Way to go. |

So in other words, GOP fortune depends on the voters of two states going underrepresented in Congress. Ooooh-kay! Sort of like when thousands of Florida voters had to be unfairly disenfranchised in order for the GOP victory in 2000. And we know how well that went. |

Excellent post and analysis! |

Good luck on Cavuto today. I hope for your sake Neil is back and Dagen McDowell is gone. That woman should be a cheerleader for Obambi's Big Government Campaign.
And Thank God Franken was not seated! |

We must have 4 years of unbridled Democrat control. That way, should things not improve, they'll have no one to blame but themselves. That way it is now, the Democrats will still be able to use the Republicans as a scapegoat should things go awry, and then nobody wins, because the goat industry will take over with all the goats people are getting to use for scape-ing.
Of course, if things were to become better under Democratic rule, then at least the economy will be alright. (Of course, the whole abortion dilemma won't improve, which is a sad thing.)
In any case, a Democrat-controlled government should open peoples' eyes to...something. At least moreso than a government with a bunch of scapegoats. Goats aren't very revealing. |

The Democrat Party, led by Harry Reid, and Barack Obama himself, have assured that this Inauguration will be the ONLY inauguration in American history taking place in a undenialbly tainted atmosphere, surrounded by the stench of corruption, Party infighting, un-Constitutionality, and personal demagogery.
Poetic justice.
The candidate of "change and hope" has had, in the month-and-a-half leading up to his "coronation" been involved, either directly or indirectly, in erasing the notion of either being the guarantor of "change", with his selection of Cabinet members who are almost to a man or woman, old [white] Clintonista retreads; hardly "change we can believe in".
His claims of instituting "a transparent and open administration" [the so-called "hope" portion of his empty rhetorical campaign promises] was the very first casulty, as he and his transition team [with the expected collusion of the MSM & their controllers on high] has skirted the issue of their obvious [and, as yet unrevealed] involvement with the Blagojevich Senate seat maneuvering.
Now, it seems, that the grandstanding of Harry Reid [with Obama's backing] has revealed another flaw in the Democrat facade of propriety, as together, they have sought to deny a black male [not only Burris, but others, including Jesse Jackson, Jr.] access to the Senate seat Obama vacated in his being (s)elected president.
Add to this mix, Obama's appointing the Governor of New Mexico, Bill Richardson, who is under an investigation of his own mirroring Blagojevich's, to head up the Dept. of Commerce, of all things!
Corruption, Racism, Criminality, and Democrat grandstanding assure that the Barack Hussein Obama "coronation" will highlight the Comedy of Errors that is just a preview of more to come. |
