Huckabee Not Winning Friends And Influencing People

Often my grandparets being he was a life long decon in the local church would have the pastor or the visiting pastor over for Sunday dinner.
Some of them would not lift a finger to help my grandmother, not even say hello in some cases just talk to grand dad about the offering as grand dad was a big Sunday plate filler down at the church, then they would go out on the front porch and talk and lean back in the big old rockers.
Grandmother would be cleaning up the table, washing dishes, Huckabee reminds me of those Baptist preachers, that and the ones who ran off with the offerings.

Huckabee's record has also been analyzed by the Cato institute. He was rated the 3rd worst governor in the U.S. as someone who aligned themselves with conservatism. That means a myriad of Democratic governors are more conservative than he is.

Wrote in his 2007 book that implementing strict enforcement of immigration laws "would be sheer folly" and that it made sense to give "those here illegally a process through which they pay a reasonable fine in admission of their guilt for the past infraction of violating our border laws and agree to adhere to a pathway toward legal status and citizenship." have lost their righteous standing on taxes because Bush has spent like a drunken sailor. It used to be republicans were for less taxes and small government - a logical premise leading to a logical conclusion. Now we have to convince americans less taxes and high spending makes sense - was this taught at Harvard Business School or law School? How will be continue paying for Bush's programs if we lower taxes? How will we continue spending $8 billion a month on Iraq and expand our mission to include Iran, pakistan and Afganistan if we cut taxes? Republicans need to connect the dots better... |

I think this is the first time I have heard taxes refered to as "hope." That is an interesting euphimism. Maybe that is what Obama means when he talks about an "Audacity of Hope." |

THE PEOPLE OF Minnesota WANT BETTER BRIDGES. MINNESOTA IS NOT THE ONLY LOCATION THAT HAS SUFFERED FROM FAILING BRIDGES. THE RESIDENTS OF MINNESOTA CAN APPRECIATE A GOVERNOR RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT THAT HAS A HEALTHY COMMAND OVER A PROBLEM THAT RELATES TO THEM. THE REPUBLICAN ESTABLISHMENT IS PLAYING INTO STEREOTYPES INVENTED BY DEMOCRATS THAT WE REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE AVERAGE VOTER. HUCKABEE SHOWS RESPECT FOR THE PEOPLE OF EVERY STATE. |

He made a good point.
Taxes are not necessarily evil; in fact, they are Biblical, and if the money is well spent for the public good of ALL citizens, they can often be completely justifiable-as they were in Arkansas when Mike Huckabee was Governor orf Arkansas-which I suspect is why he was re-elected.
Its not necessary to demagogue taxes and illegal aliens in order to "win friends and influence people" as Mitt Romney *may* eventually realize.

The Shift in Momentum IS FOR PRESIDENT HUCKABEE in 2008
Mike Huckabee is presidential material and is alone able to defeat Hillary & Obama. I am now convinced that those wealthier donors to Romney's, Giuliani's, and Thompson's campaign have wasted their money and if they continue, are wasting their hard earned money on candidates who do not have voter appeal or substance. As a member of the younger generation, I will tell you point blank, Romney, Giuliani, and Thompson DO NOT connect with us.
ROMENY has run out of gas. He has been the worst investment money could buy. His persecution complex makes him so defensive, weepy and wimpy that he cracks under pressure. His fake, calculated tears make him appear too weak before America and rest of the world. Romney’s negative campaigning reveals his unprofessional desperation and that he is really an unkind angry old man. BOTH Romney's and Giuliani's flip flop past makes them a liability and not an asset for republicans in 2008.
Every time Huckabee is heard his approval amongst Republicans and Democrats increases even WITHOUT major financial support. Just imagine what would happen if he got the major financial support. He is the Republican's secret weapon in the 2008 election. Huckabee's proven leadership can help bring America together as a team.
A message to the Anti-Christian bigots ...
Huckabee IS NOT running for PASTOR of the UNITED STATES; HE IS RUNNING FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES and HE IS WELL QUALIFIED TO LEAD.
Huckabee is the BEST candidate because he not only attracts republicans but also democrats to his side without compromising his principles. Both side support is needed to win this election in 2008 and he has it.

Acording to Rasmussen, Huckabee has a five-point lead over Hillary in Ohio, the largest margin over HRC of any GOP candidate. If Huck's the candidate, we hold Ohio. Which means if MN voters are proud of their collapsing bridge, which I very much doubt, it won't matter as much as you suggest.
