I don't know how ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN can look at themselves in the mirror every morning and call themselves American.
Now that Obama's (real) life story, philosophy, associations and political history is now being revealed at this late hour, it's patently obvious that the major news networks are either guilty of misfeasance or are engaging in the most odius coverup of our lifetime.
In the finest traditions of Pravda, the networks have coronated their party leader and foisted him upon us. The sad fact is, the "news" anchors are either useful idiots or are themselves Marxists.
The only other explanation can be they are so blinded by rage towards their hatred of Conservatives and cannot see where they are leading. We're way beyond liberal or left now and they are at best clueless or at worst complicit.
The saddest part in all this is that many decent elected Democrats are cowering in the corner, watching their once great party devolve into a Chavez-like dictatorship and they haven't got the spine to stand up and stop it.
The USSR didn't fall. It just took an overseas assignment. The networks have become Pravda-America.

The problem, as I see it, is that the Rep Party is being run by the Rockefeller/Country Club (RCC) wing which is comfortable, for lack of a better term, with leftists. So they will not draw a clear distinction between the two parties.
The RCC wing has already made it financially and socially. They seek to maintain what they have achieved/the status quo and historically have governed in a way that protects themselves first and foremost. They reached detente, in effect, with the Dem Party around a half century ago. What the RCC wing seems unable or unwilling to realize is that modern day Dems are radical leftists (commies), so the current Reps will not or apparently cannot effectively make the case against Barrack and the rest of the Dems. Goldwater, Reagan, Newt and a short list of others were/are exceptions. |
|
To the Obama supporters posting here, the issue is as follows, IMHO: Obama's associates have throughout his life consistently been left wing radicals. That is to say they are either communists or socialists. Obama's first mentor Frank M. Davis - card carrying member of the CPUSA; Jeremiah Wright, mentor #2, hatemongering redistribution liberation theologist, ie - communist using Christianity to spread communist dogma; Bill Ayers and spouse- 1960's communist radicals attempting to overthrow the entire American system. Where did Obama CHOOSE to move after college? Chicago, one of the well known havens of the 1960's radical left, where he associated himself with LEFTIST RADICALS. Additionally Obama's family is known to have been quite to the left politically. All this being fact, how would a logical person expect Obama to govern if elected?
Would David Duke get away with a pass on his former associates or would it be logical to assume he is a racist? Would a candidate who had been associating with neo-Nazis be given a pass on his lifelong associates who were Nazis or would it be logical to assume he was actually a facist? If you vote Democrat are you assuming you will get a tax cut and that the Dept. of Education is going to be abolished? NO, of course not. You expect that taxes will be raised and that government will grow.
Therefore, a logical person would assume that Obama is consciously or unconsciously a leftist radical, ie: a socialist/communist, and that he will govern accordingly. |

Obama trained ACORN agitators on how to intimidate banks into making risky loans. When banks balked because they couldn't sell those bad mortgages to Fannie/Freddie, Obama's ACORN convinced democrats in congress to change Fannie/Freddie's procedures to open up those risky practices. Obama and his partner (can you guess who?)* funnelled hundreds of thousands of dollars from Woods & Annenberg funds to ACORN to help them keep up the pressure on lenders to make riskier loans. McCain and others sounded alarms that these lending practices would lead to trouble. Democrats said "we see no problem," and prevented any solution. We are now all paying for these actions.
*William Ayers. Yes, that William Ayers. |

"Is the MSM so in the bag that they won't notice this tissue-paper thin dodge?"
They noticed. Now they must do everything they can to cover it up or minimize it.

It was not deregulation that led to FNMA's collapse and disaster to America and the world. And blaming the bipartisan efforts to reform stagnant parts of the economy by deregulation over 20 years ago for problems today is ridiculous. It was corruption over the last en years or so. And that corruption was seen by Sen. John McCain years ago, and he sounded the alarm in plenty of time to do something about it. For democrats to lamely dismiss culpability be pointing to 1980's deregulation is as cynical as their pretending that Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelick and the democrats who looted FNMA for over $100 million, were just people who happened to work there. "Deregulation" for reasonable people does not mean "corruption". It does not mean a lack of rule of law. Democrats have wrecked a very great ship, and now are blaming the people who built the ship and left it to them in good order. Hey democrats, I want my $trillion back. Now.

but not everyone's 401(k) is "crashing"...
Maybe one just needs a bit more attention to reality... And a bit more understanding of the term "balanced portfolio"...
There is risk associated with every investment. Assuming "the government" owes you a living makes you weak and stupid, a "useful idiot" according to Lenin.
Those who think McCain is a typical Republican are deluded. Those who profess it are not telling the truth--about McCain or their personal motivation.
Those who believe Obama is the answer to anything other than "who is the least qualified candidate the Democrats have ever put forward for President" are similarly confused.
May the LORD heal our confused nation and grant us wisdom and good leaders.

Treason? 18 USC Chapter 115 includes a section dealing with people who try to affect recruiting or morale of the military in time of war...
Seems like there are a number of folks who could be indicted, arrested, prosecuted, convicted, and incarcerated--if only the US Attorneys were not so busy prosecuting Border Patrol Agents who do their job effectively like Ramos and Compean...
Granted, I may not have all of the relevant facts; but I still belive the law is clear and the perpetrators sufficiently brazen (i.e., on tape, in the Congressional record, in their memoirs, on TV, and etc.) that "a crippled newsy" (to use that colorful phrase from the Maltese Falcon) could "beat 'em up and take their lunch money" in a court of law...
There has to be some reason that these people are allowed to continue committing serious acts of treason and are still allowed to breathe free air... |
|
All these issues will be moot if The One gets elected.
All ACORN, Rezko, Congress, et al have to do is hang on until January. The UhBama Justice Department will replace every U.S. Attorney in office, each being a political appointee. They will then be told to stand down, to bench the investigations. The investigations will then remain idle until they are a footnote in history. Then, at the appropriate time, his allies will receive their pardons and absolutions.
After all, they are the innocent victims of a right wing witch hunt trying to steal an election.
There has been no crime if there's no investigation.

"Banks were redlining; that's why they were forced to make the SAME KINDS OF LOANS IN MINORITY NEIGHBORHOODS" You mean I can't use "zip code" as the heaviest weighted criterion in my credit scoring model? How unfair. Let's overturn ECOA too in the new SCOTUS under McCain.

Somebody actually got that photo of Ayers stomping on the American flag? Because all I've seen are assertions that it exists - and not very convincing ones. C'mon Hugh. You've alleged:
"In 1998, Ayers and Dohrn declared they'd bomb again. In September 2001, Ayers is photographed standing on an American flag. In November of 2007, both Ayers and Dohrn appear at the SDS reunion and denounce America again."
There's nothing in your "Details here." link that even furthers the allegations, let alone proves them. Come up with the goods. |
|
Consider this quote:
"Obama says he barely knows him, but in the years when he was meeting and serving together on the Annenberg Challenge and the Woods Fund, as well as launching his career with a fundraiser in Ayers' Che Guevara-festooned house, Ayers made at least four Marxist pilgrimages to Caracas to praise Chavez's dictatorial regime.
He sits on the board of a Venezuelan government think tank called Miranda International Center, focused on bringing Cuba-style education to Venezuelan school children.
Recent polls show this turning of schools toward Marxist indoctrination terrifies average Venezuelans. Venezuelan dissidents also accuse Miranda of rewriting constitutions in South America to grant leftist leaders absolute power, with some saying Ayers had a role in 2007's effort to give Chavez total power inside Venezuela.
It's not surprising. Ayers' violent methods may have influenced Chavez's rise to power in 1998. Like Ayers' terrorists, Chavez's campaign began with Weather Underground-style hijackings of bank trucks. At the same time, captured computer documents show that Chavez took $150,000 from FARC while in prison."
Few make the link to Ayers' stepson, either. His office is next to Chavez in Venezuela.

Here's the video link: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/09/acorn.fraud.claims/ index.html#cnnSTCVideo
It occurred during the 10/9 Campbell Brown program.
Here is the article: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/09/acorn.fraud.claims/i ndex.html10/9 |

CNN did a decent investigatory piece linking Obama to ACORN ($800,000 contribution to ACORN), but I can't find the video on YouTube. It occured during the 10/9 Campbell Brown program.
Since CNN has now legitimized the issue, I think McCain needs to bring it up next debate; the Ayres thing should be secondary. ACORN is a more current issue -- it relates to the current election itself, as well as the housing crisis -- and should resonate better and seem less like mud-slinging. |
|
No Republican OR Democrat should forget the $800 million elephant.
But none of us should be foolish enough to think that a person -- who was involved in this debacle from its inception (via ACORN), -- who has consistently denied any involvement with it (he has lied repeatedly), -- who has taken millions of dollars from its administrators (check opensecrets.org and KNOWN campaign donor list),
should now presume to the one to rectify the debacle.
Ut uh. No. Nobama.

I guess when you subscribe to the radical right stigma, the premise of causality is irrelevant to "journalism". They are trying to link Obama to the financial crisis... SERIOUSLY! No... it wasn't McCain's (Ghram's, Keating's) stalwart march toward deregulation, it wasn't Bush administration's incompetency, it wasn't that firms like Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley that invested vest swaths of their capital in a hollow sector... no ... it was Obama and ACORN suing a bank to get homes for minorities. Okay, lets assume (for a second) that every single one of those home loans for those minorities defaulted. We are talking about a net loss of less than a hundred million dollars. That is less than a ten hundredth of a percent of the money tied up in bad mortgages. I don't know, when you look at the EXTRAORDINARY damage done in the senate by John McCain's careless and dangerous deregulation initiatives, the ACORN lawsuit doesn't really seem news worthy. Then again, this is only my opinion. I am not a Republican and I am not looking for a distraction from that 800 ton elephant in the room. |

ACORN voter fraud incidents are croping up like ... well -- acorns.
-- Obama's role as a "fertilizer" with ACORNS is being revealed.
-- A direct link between O and his cousin's terrorist associates (via Kenya) has been established .... notwithstanding Ayers' relationship with Chavez ... Notice that the Obama website has now changed their statement concerning the O-Ayers' relationship ....
At least one more witness has come forth to confirm that O tried to get a US-Iraqi agreement on troop levels DELAYED until "he" became president --- indicating his desire to be both hero AND his lack of regard for troops who would remain in harms way for additional months.
-- And O's buddy Rezko is taking with feds about Chicago dealings to get his prison sentence reduced ...
-- A couple of additional connections between O and the economic debacle are also pending ....
AKKKKKers want to wail "conspiracy" against Obama. A more appropriate wail will be the Obama consiracy against the American people.
wait and see ....

Stocks are crashing and Republican George W. Bush occupies the White House.
McCain is also a Republican, and it is the banditry of Republicanism which brought us to this disgraceful and impoverished condition.
Republicans must not be allowed anywhere near the White House or Capitol Hill.
A vote for Obama is a vote against a continuation of the aforesaid horror.
Can't you handle the truth of perception? |

Even the MSM can't ignore it anymore. Ayers, Dohrn, Wright, Phleger, Resko, Davis, Farrakhan, Odinga, New Party/DSA, ACORN, etc. Did Obama ever have any dealings with a person or group that wasn't a radical lefty? |

Good post. Well said. 1980 was my first election and you echo my thoughts in general. This race has the same kind of feel to it. I'm depressed about things as they are along with what I see as the state of the party which I thought in 1994 had a real chance to make some real changes. What encourages me in the longer term is the understanding that the Democrats, lacking any new ideas, and running this year as the "We're Not the Republican Party" can only go so far on that. That and their 15% congressional approval rating will make for a short stay. The question then becomes, will the Republican Party become what we all want them to be? |
|
The McCainiacs are bereft of actual campaign issues and ideas, so all they have left is mudslinging.
Fortunately for the country, most people aren't buying it. |

I guess this dialogue may make some feel that loosing will be ok but I remember when EVERYONE in the Republican party swore that Bush was going to be a great President, leader and commander in chief. All I know is I don't care about Obama Ayers relationship but what has happened to my Republican party. For 16 years I have been promised that they would keep the country strong and reduce the size of government and make sure that the standard of living improved for America. Everything has been a lie and now all the Republicans leaders want to talk about is Obama/Ayers. Tell me how is this going to help get the Republican party on its feet and back to what they use to do best...govern.
If Obama/Ayers is what you want to talk about you are handing the Democrats the election. Start to talk about what Republicans have to do to become world leaders. |
|
Sancho and McCain are hammering this one, too. Nice try guys. Go after the poor and disenfranchised, why dontcha? It's worked so well for you so far, right? Everyone loves a mean Republican duo to send home the message that the last 8 years hasn't been able to: Republicans are mean and only interested in the wealthy fat slobs eating at the trough.
Want proof - besides targeting ACORN, I mean? McCain wants to give bankers a bonus at the taxpayers expense with his Buy back scam he announced at the debate the other night. First details showed he wanted to buy them at current prices, then THAT got scrubbed from the site leaving us with the apparent "new" scheme that would be at face value - a huge wet kiss to the banks who got us into this mess, at OUR expense.
McCain is increasingly incoherent. His wife is mean and dumb, and Palin is meaner and dumber. Could it get any worse? |

You're absolutely right. Animalgirl is wrong.
As a single mother of two, I pay very little in taxes. I don't make a lot of money, but I get by very well, thank you. And I don't need a tax break from Obama or anyone else.
Yes, rising fuel costs have forced me to refine my family budget. Yes, recent Wall Street trends have me concerned about my kids' college funds.
But ya know what, I'm not worried. Because I know my job is secure. And when John McCain said that "the fundamentals of our economy are strong", he meant it. And I agree with him. The fundamentals--small businesses, work ethics, the desire to succeed. Still here!
But if Obama is elected, he says he'll tax those small businesses if they make over $250,00/year. What? Many of those companies are run by folks who don't even take a paycheck for the first few years. But Obama supports giving the CEOs of Frannie Mae and Freddie Mac multi-million dollar umbrellas. Nice.
Animalgirl should go back to petting her ferrets, or cats, or whatever she has, and realize that human beings have to thrive in order for animals to be protected. |

Some have suggested that Hillary was "compromised" in what she could say because hubby Bill had pardoned some of those associated with Ayers and his wife BD.
But she may have had other info on Obama -- possibly related to his 2006 trip to Kenya to campaign (on US taxpayer money) for his cousin Odinga ....
Odinga was "in deep" with radical socialists throughout the ME (including islamic terrorists) and socialist/communist regimes in SA (Chevez -- coincidentally a friend of Ayers) and Cuba (Odinga named a son Castro, in honor of the same).
There is a VOLUME of info on these connections -- none of which is comforting to those who seek the TRUE background of Barack Obama.
Regretfully, our MSM has not been willing to inquire .... They'd rather dig thru dumpsters in Alaska.

If this tawdry business about Ayers is true then this country is in deep trouble. Why - Because how can a man get so far into public life, one whole year into an election for President and only now this comes out? It would surely have been in Mrs Clinton's (and others)best interest to have B.O. checked out. In my opinion, nothing is working the way it should. Nothing. Something still doesnt smell right.

Obama is endorsed by the DSA, and the American Communist party. Ayres is a man that hates America and all it stands for, as does Bernardine.
Michelle expressed her discontent with America a few months back, and almost every associate up to this point, that Obama has, is a radical. Khalid Mansour, Ayres, Rev. Wright.
The writing is on the wall. We will be socialist, if we aren't already. Truly a sad time for America. |

Why don't you start over at JohnMcCain.com and come back and ask realistic, relevant questions and I'm sure someone (other than a troll or AKKKKer) will attempt to help you ...
Right now, most of us who support John McCain are concerned about turning the future of this nation over to an unproven, untested "mystery" man who has thus far in his short career demonstrated little judgment or substantive decision-making -- personally or professionally.

bernadine dorn says the US was the greatest purveyor of violence around the world .

These kids come here as scheduled by their AKKKK supervisors from ACORN and Camp Obama.
Those assigned to the night shift are not as "hip" as those on other shifts 'cause they're using older talking points.
Don't give them any slack, but don't expect them to respond with anything new -- just the day old bait and spew stuff. (yawn)
AKKKKKK !!!! And if you don't know how to pronounce "AKKKKKKK," you close off the back of your throat and make a sound similar to clearing your throat -- it sounds like a cat coughing up a hair ball .... cack cack cack. But you just make the sound of a longer "caaaack" ....
Got it?

Frankly, I am getting tired of hearing about Obama and his connections. I don't care what happened in the past. There have been reports of Sen. McCain's somewhat sleazy connections too. Do we really want those brought out? I want to know how we, the US, is going to get out of this mess we are currently in with regards to the economy, the war in Iraq, and our standing with our allies around the world. STOP THE ATTACKS SEN MCCAIN AND GIVE US A REASON TO VOTE FOR YOU. |

are sounding a bit desperate in your grievances against McCain and conservatives in general ....
A bit of panic creeping through Camp Obama?
Feeling vulnerable without those ACORN street hustlers goose-stepping behind ya? Sorry the feds are collecting your computers and checking registrations ..... MO folks sent out 150,000 letters to new registrants. 40 responded. Dang -- that had to throw a wrench in the ole voter fraud plan, eh?
Some of you are getting a bit edgy, too. Your surliness is a sure sign of panic and disarray, yanno? Hey --- ya gotta go wif da flow, kids. What comes down goes around, etc.

Hate to agree with some of the lumpen-Maxists that post here, but McCain is not going to win this, and Ayers, Wright, ACORN and all Obama's shadowy connections are not going to change that one bit. In fact, some voters may consider those radical connections to be a "plus".
In 1980, Carter generally was perceived to have screwed up the economy, saddled the nation with an intrusive bureaucracy, hobbled our military, and exposed the country to ridicule in the Iranian embassy affair. The country was ready for a "change", and that the ideas Reagan proposed were radically different from those of Carter (and Ford, and Nixon, and Johnson) enhanced his appeal.
I fear the same applies today: the country wants a change, and if that includes experimentation with socialism and radicalism, I'm afraid a majority of voters will go along. The upside: Obama probably won't get re-elected after pursuing radical policies for 4 years. The downside: we will have to live with Obama's radical policies for 4 years. |

Judge just ruled the Sec. of State is breaking the election law. Does anybody know what's going on. Apparently too much evidence against Acorn. Could be interesting and very good for Republicans. |

He continues to lie.
Tries to disimulate. Talks about Mr. Annenberg, (calls him the ambassador) trying to make the subject a stalwart American in order to legitimate Ayers. Why not just file an association of attorney on behalf of Ayers, Sen. Obama?
Then,Sen. Obama tries to use the 'rehabilitation' word in the same sentence as the "i was eight yrs. old" at the time. Clearly trying to mix up the issue as to Ayers and Obama's relationship in the 1990's.
Ayers hired Obama to funnel foundation money to Ayers' radical causes. Obama was delighted to be the bag man.
Sen. Obama is wretched in his attempt to deny his adams rib relationship with Ayers and Wright.
How he does tremble, lie and hide. |

Come on! What do you think the Federal income tax refund is? Everyone people get taxed, submit a return, then most get all or much of what they paid back. If you are in a high income bracket, you make a lot of money, you pay a lot of taxes but don't get it back. Hence Darrell's point.
As for David Friedman, I'd bet that Ronald Reagan's son Ron Jr. also supports Obama. So what? It wouldn't be the first time a progeny inherited DNA, but not good judgment, from their parent. |

What a load of garbage. Tax the productive people and give it to the non-productive people.
I wish someone would explain how if less than 50% of the people pay taxes, 95% of the people gat a tax cut. BO should at least have the courage to call it what it is, another way to get even more people on welfare.

Hugh, you have once again brought to our attention the pathetic character of this man who wants to be president. If some of his followers don't think this is important to measure, then I feel sorry for them. They must lack integrity in their own lives to view something like this so lightly. I only hope that after this economic crisis has subdued then the country will understand the importance of personal responsibility and the strong character and integrity that goes along with it. It could be the silver lining during these bad times. |

For someone who is supposed to be so brilliant, Obama has to be the most singularly uncurious person on the face of the earth - Wright, Ayers, Pfleger, the New Party, and so on. It is utterly incredible he didn't know what these people stood for. The man is a stone-faced liar. |

What... no?
Can anyone imagine Bob Dole stooping this low when he knew he was licked in '96? |

so I went out to the Obama website to see HIS thoughts (plan) on how to deal with the current economic crisis. But there is nothing there. He's not even voting "Present" on this one. |

Why aren't you calling out all the Republicans who served on the Arenberg Foundation? Using your logic, Ronald Reagan was a terrorist sympathizer too given he was close friends with Walter Arenberg.
Hey Hugh, has McCain ever denounced G. Gordon Liddy? Are they still friends? |

If McCain names Freddie and Fannie names, ties them to Obama and Dems; if ACORN can be tied to real voter fraud in NV,Fla.,Missouri, Minn., Colo., NV, Wash. state ; if Catholic voters, NRA voters can see that the Dems will change their entire culture under the faux Messiah, maybe there will be a swing to McCain. 25 days is a short time to swing an election. McCain thinks the swing will come in the last 72 hours. He does not have the Bush-Rove turnout foundation to do this. Voter fraud alone could lose him some purple and even some Red states such as Va., NV, and NC or even Georgia. He need a huge turnout of varied voters who finally realize how dangerous this socialist pacifist will be for our free enterprise democratic system. kgk |

Look at the 3 day tracking polls Hugh. Even after Ayers and the 2 debates you called for McCain, Obama has enlarged his lead. The public is turning their back on this kind of politics. Enjoy the wilderness Hugh. |
