Huck Ready to End It? (Update: Dropping Out Tonight)

Our long national annoyance is over.
Ha, I'm being too hard on Huck. I don't care one bit for his economic populism, but he's been an admirably strong candidate and an uncannily strong communicator. Now, if we can just turn him into an economic conservative and get him communicating for us....
Huck wants to arrange the concession with McCain, but between accepting the Republican nomination, fighting with the Democratic nominee, and taking hold of the RNC, he may be busy.
Now, what kind of deliberative body might be in danger of tipping overwhelmingly toward the Dems this year and could use a GOP candidate in Arkansas, who would enjoy a job that involves mostly chatting with reporters and giving speeches?
Hmmm, Mike, I think you'd look all right with green hair.
Update: Fox reports that Huck says there will be no particular announcement tomorrow.
Update: Fox is reporting Huck will take the stage tonight to bow out.

2008 simply can't end soon enough. I had Mike Huckabee staying in until Pennsylvania to try to top Mitt Romney's vote total, and sticking it out longer than "our gal" Hil.
My co-blogger back at the main place is willing to spring for the tattoos. |

What a joke he is. He said he was in it until someone reached 1,191 delegates...everyone knows that he was in it out of complete & total ENVY of Mitt Romney. It took this bufoon 2 seperate primary dates to eek it out...PATHETIC!
Mitt Romney's eloquent speech to CPAC & the nation when he decided to "step aside" included "...If this were only about me, I would go on. But I entered this race because I love America, and because I love America, I feel I must now stand aside, for our party and for our country."
Huckabigot's speech should go... ,..."THIS WAS ONLY ABOUT ME. SINCE I ENTERED THIS RACE BECAUSE I LOVE MYSELF AND BECAUSE I LOVE MYSELF,I FELT I MUST KEEP GOING ON FOR MYSELF."
GOODBYE & GOOD RIDDANCE HUCKABIGOT! CELEBRATE!!!! SEA SALTS GONE....

Do you think it's bigoted to oppose the appointing of open homosexuals to positions of authority?
Jacobs, Ethan. 3 March 2005. "Mitt Romney’s secret gay history!" _Bay Windows_ http://www.baywindows.com/index.php?ch=columnists&sc=the_ro mney_files Romney also continued Weld’s tradition of appointing openly gay people to key positions in his administration. One of his first cabinet appointments was Daniel Grabauskas, who Romney chose to serve in his cabinet as secretary of the Executive Office of Transportation and Construction.
The new governor’s transition team also included several openly gay people, including Grabauskas, former lieutenant governor candidate and current president of the national Log Cabin Republicans Patrick Guerriero, and former Mass. Log Cabin president Mark Goshko.
Other gay Romney appointees include John Wagner, commissioner of the state welfare department, Mitchell Adams, executive director of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, and Jonathan Spampinato, a member of Romney’s Diversity and Equal Opportunity Council. Two out lesbian appointees were fired by the governor shortly after getting legally married to their same-sex partners: Ardith Wieworka, former commissioner of Child Care Services, who was let go last summer, and Katherine Abbott, former commissioner of the Department of Conservation and Recreation, who was asked to resign last month after her department was blamed for not adequately clearing sidewalks == He [Romney] offered political and financial support to two openly gay Republican candidates for state representative in 2004, Richard Babson in the Eighth Suffolk District and Michael Motzkin of the Ninth Essex District, who both lost. Both candidates were promoted as part of the Romney Reform Team.

The fat lady sang for Huck a few weeks ago when Romney bowed out gracefully. But he was too obtuse to notice. |

Quit the "Huckabigot" nonsense. You folks and your vitriol has been disgusting and reprehensible to the last. Your endless, baseless insults have been plain lies, and your collective effort to take down Huckabee at all costs, regardless of how unprincipled, can only be described as evil. Its gall is eclipsed only by your lack of shame in doing so. In particular to lo: there is a circle of hell waiting for you with your name on it. May you take up permanent residency there, you son of a b*tch.
Huckabee ran a fine campaign. I regret that it wasn't good enough to get him the nomination. I hope to see him on the VP ticket even if it isn't likely, and sincerely hope the Republican party realizes what an untapped political phenomenon they have in Mike Huckabee.
(...and I didn't even have to bash Romney to say so) |

I'm laughing hysterically @ these Huckabigot supporters! They are obviously the ones who voted off of emotion instead of sustance! |

“I would hope he could be trusted to secure the borders, but given his track record in AR, I don’t see the conservative he has portrayed himself to be in Iowa.”Jake Files, former AR state rep & current chairman of the Sebastian County Republican Party.
“I think if they knew [his record] it would totally de-energize them his policies are just wrong.” Former AR State Sen Jim Holt’s (R) warning for conservatives around the country who think they have found their candidate in Huckabee

The only thing I can figure about Huck voters is that it has something to do with IQ. Otherwise, there's just no explaining it. |
