Weekend At Barack's: What's A Superdelegate To Do?
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 9:00 AM
Politico.com reports on Obama's continued hold on his superdelegates on the Hill.

Obama could become the political version of Weekend at Bernie's, and his superdelegates would stick with him, and more move to him because of the blowback they would face from the Obamians indifferent to the electoral realities.  They want their guy, no matter how badly compromised by Wright, Rezko and Ayers.  And they will forever mark as a Judas any superdelegate who bolts for Hillary at this late moment.

Hillary is on with Bill O'Reilly tonight.  Given the widespread suspicion that her campaign orchestrated the Jeremiah Wright party at the National Press Club, it will be a very interesting interview.

Why the support
Someone significantly smarter than I ought to do a study on the dynamics surrounding the Obama candidacy. I love to talk to smart people who are Obama supporters. It's as if they've suspended reality in order to have Obama fit their perceived need or desire in this election. Part of the genius of the Obama campaign is his non-specificity. In horror movies, critics say it's always best to NOT show the thing that is scary. The audience will create something in their mind scarier than anything the film studio can come up with. Likewise, Obama's hope. By not telling us what he plans to do, we can all conjure up notions that the hope he is speaking about is the very same hope I am longing for. But why do thoughtful people not see through this? It's fascinating.

Obama v Wright "Rumble in the Jungle"
I don't believe Obama. Wright lead him to Christ supposedly and he did so by preaching this vile Nation of Islam garbage which has been concealed in the sheep's cloak of Christianity all the while it is the Anti-American Wolf of White Bigotry rooted in Black Patherism. I think Obama/Wright are staging the divorce as their marriage of convenience is not symbiotic anymore. However these two Anti-American allies have figured out how it can be symbiotic in a House of Mirrors kind of way.

Obama reminds me of Claude Raines in Casa Blanca..."I'm shocked, I'm shocked that there is gambling going on here" as he accepts his cut of the Casino's proceeds. You see Wright gets to keep his 10,000 foot home(you see since the Preach is a nut you can not Judge him for being so ostentatious), he gets publicity for his book because he is now famous and Obama gets to say that Wright has "changed" since he joined the Trinity Church of Christ and that he never never heard this Wright tripe which is new and he abhors. Right? Not buying it. Wright gets to go onto shows to promote his books and Obama gets to tell McCain in the general that he doesn't believe in the Wright America is Bad Theology. This divorce is a Sting operation! Pope a Dope ala Rope a Dope. Don't but it America as Obama is Anti-American just like Michelle Robinson, Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan are. Ali would be proud of this Political Rope a Dope styled dance like a butterfly and sting the electorate like a bee...Dominus Vobicum

Give Republicans Obama - it's easy.....
to do so, if the Clintons were not Obama's opponents. This dog fight just got fueled again. Mrs. Clinton will fight to include FL and MI votes and thanks to Wright - she can argue Obama does not have the popular vote. Alienate the blacks or whites?......is this a right brain or left brain issue for demcorats? It's simple really, as a republican we can wipe the floor with Obama and super delegates who did not know before, now know so. How about they use FL and MI as a way of explaining why Hillary got the nomination.

c'mon Scarlet

you can't be on this blog and just say "some" Dem/libs... On this blog, ALL democrats are lying,
socialist, marxist, America-haters, who hate
babies to be born, think everyone should be taxed
at 100%, hate the troops, and must be conspiring
every day with islamo-fascists. Anyone who has
ever registered as a Democrat is obviously a
traitor. My 86-year old World War 2 veteran uncle
who lives down in Georgia and has been a registered
Democrat since he got out of the service in 1945
is definitely a candidate to be picked up and sent
to Gitmo... So please keep with the blogging
comments protocol from here on, okay?

McCain turns out to be right...
“(McCain's) grandstanding turned out to be right on a lot of things,” said Representative Jack Kingston, Republican of Georgia. “More troops in Iraq, earmarks, cutting out some of the spending.”

Many Republicans have now concluded that it is only Mr. McCain’s willingness to challenge recent Republican orthodoxy that has left him in a position to credibly contend for the White House, given public dissatisfaction with Republican leadership.

“If he hadn’t disagreed with us, he wouldn’t have a chance of being president,” said Representative Zach Wamp, Republican of Tennessee. “He is the one guy who can be the candidate for us this cycle.”

Hillary is toast
Republicans are ignoring her. Democrats loath her. She may win Indiana and close the gap in North Carolina, but the Democratic party elites know backing her will be poision for a long time. Supporting Barack, win or lose, is better in the long run for the Dems.

I am sure O'Reilly will be very nice to Hillary (similar to his Rosie interviews)--and certainly softer on her than some pro Obama hacks would be. Operation Chaos is in temporary hiatus. Hillary will live to fight again, but I doubt the Dems will forget this one.
muirgeo writes: Wednesday, April, 30, 2008 10:21 AM
No,
Obama is not the political version of Weekend at Bernies. The democratic party has a problem of two great candidate that we love it's causing a bit of family feuding. We'll get over it and when it's done we'll have a candidate most in the party loves. That's a much better problem then having a nominee that no one in your party likes and that has a real possibility of doing the Week end at Bernies. And it's better then being in a position were the best hope you have of winning is avoiding the real issues and attacking the candidates based on his associates.

Nope don't worry about us and our pastor's we're just find in spite of convincing yourself that such silliness by association matters. We are a principled bunch and the real issues matter to us... you know the things like the selling out of our country by the Republicans. I don't care how good you think YOUR pastor is or any Republican pastor for that matter because they obviously weren't good enough to prevent the rampant destruction of our country wrought by Bush and the Republicans.

Yes, character matters, so does judgement and judgement of character. We got all that in our candidates. So while devaluing the meaning of a purple heart won you an election last time I think attacking fellow Christians (especially of the sub-type that actually cares for the poor) probably won't be enough to save your incompetent parties behind this time. Especially when you all hate your candidate so much.

Quick Fact.

FACE BOOK FRIENDS

Obama 790,000

Clinton 190,000

McCain 72

"Man Overboard!"
The best scene out of that movie played out here with the hapless superdelegates trying to shake off the Obama stiff and Hilliray as the assassin driven crazy by Obama's seeming invincibility.

Hugh, this is one of the better episodes of "Bad Political Theatre" hosted by Leonard Pimf Garnell for the next cultural analogy!
Joe writes: Wednesday, April, 30, 2008 1:30 PM
McCain is a better man...
[Ret. Col. Bud] Day relayed to me one of the stories Americans should hear. It involves what happened to him after escaping from a North Vietnamese prison during the war. When he was recaptured, a Vietnamese captor broke his arm and said, "I told you I would make you a cripple."

The break was designed to shatter Mr. Day's will. He had survived in prison on the hope that one day he would return to the United States and be able to fly again. To kill that hope, the Vietnamese left part of a bone sticking out of his arm, and put him in a misshapen cast. This was done so that the arm would heal at "a goofy angle," as Mr. Day explained. Had it done so, he never would have flown again.

But it didn't heal that way because of John McCain. Risking severe punishment, Messrs. McCain and Day collected pieces of bamboo in the prison courtyard to use as a splint. Mr. McCain put Mr. Day on the floor of their cell and, using his foot, jerked the broken bone into place. Then, using strips from the bandage on his own wounded leg and the bamboo, he put Mr. Day's splint in place.

Years later, Air Force surgeons examined Mr. Day and complemented the treatment he'd gotten from his captors. Mr. Day corrected them. It was Dr. McCain who deserved the credit. Mr. Day went on to fly again.

Rove's estimation of the race
Rove said that McCain should be contrasting his life story with that of his two liberal socialist pacifist opponents. It is a good point since patriotism, hard work, sacrifice, and service do put ole John head and heel above these two empty suits. Operation Chaos is proving that both Dems are incompetents and the RNC should be contrasting the services and qualifications of their Standard Bearer with the two Dem socialists. My bet is there are now many Reagan Dems are giving John a second look after this Obama disaster and Hillary's lying agenda. It could be now that Obama is really the weaker candidate for John and could actually help down ticket House Pubs in their races. By now, we know that the Dem Party will have to pick Obama or they will have that 95% of black voters screaming STOLEN ELECTION.

Chris Mathews
Has anyone asked Chris Mathews if he still thinks Obama's defense of Rev. Wright last month in Philadelphia was the best speech given in America since the Gettysburg Address? Does the Left still understand and forgive Rev. Wright? Is Bill Moyers' soft-ball interview still the current context in which superdelegates should appreciate the good reverend? Or is it OK now for the Left to throw Rev. Wright under the bus? Will a similar moment later come for Bill Ayers? For Michelle? For Frank Marshall Davis?

Arch writes:

I submit they are in fact traitors. You have it right on. Any one who legitimizes our enemies bent on our nation's destruction is a traitor plain and simple. Liberals hate America and all it stands for. They are as disgusting as they are deceitful and deserve all the scorn of a free people and worse. Ignorance is no defense when it cones to national defense of our nation's liberty and freedom. So far not one liberal except Joe Lieberman has had the balls to stand up for what is right instead of sniffing the political breeze. May they rot in hell for their transgressions against liberty and freedom with a pox on their house for three generations. (Laughter)

Not only is he exposed for the fraud he is, Obama is hoping against hope that the sheeple he leads won't notice. What a good replacement for Carole Mosley Brown he has turned out to be. The media digibots are beside themselves to offer what a coooragious and anguished candidate poor Obama is and still deserves the oval office. (Laughter while air washing hands)
