The Rev. Wright Clearly Believes in an Afterlife 'Cause He's Killin' Obama

My, my goodness. The Moyers interview was bad enough, wherein he explained that Obama had to distance himself from Wright because he's a politician with a politician's audience to please, no matter what his actual beliefs are.
Today, the Rev. lays it on again, reiterating that sentiment at the National Press Club of all places. No self-aggrandizement there, huh?
Joe Klein thinks Wright has aspirations of being the next man who can stop entire U.S. cities in their tracks with fruitless racial demagoguery.
Hotline calls it just-plain preening, which I think may be more accurate. After all, the path to being the great racial sage of the black people doesn't seem likely to be the sinking of the first viable black candidate for president's campaign. Wright's just enjoying a moment in the sun and resentful enough of Obama for distancing himself that he's willing to take him down a few pegs. The other alternative is that Wright is out there reiterating his beliefs and his defense of them because he truly believes they should be sincerely defended, but it's awfully hard to square that humble goal with an appearance at the National Press Club, no?
What with this and Obama's declaration that Wright is a legitimate issue, things are just going swimmingly for us. Well, if you don't count the stats at the beginning of this piece.

...but a great image as well. Here's my caption insert: "And this is how you make a doggy. Next, a horsey." |

Why are GOP worshipers so concerned about some irelevant, nutjob, rascist, minister that is trying to promote his book through the association of a Democratic candidate?
These Democrats would never vote for a republican neocon with a gun to their head!......"McAmnesty" can't even find true conservatives to vote for him!...Yet Neocons are obsessing with some Chicago Minister that has absolutely NO ability to deliver votes to the GOP.(Gutted Our Principles).....Even Bill Krystol could figure out this waste of time.......Ha-Ha!
The GOP is toast, and could not defeat either Democrat Candidate after totally blowing 6 years of controlling both the congress and executive branch, and accomplishing nothing other than a "phoney war"!(And a couple of Supremes.)
The Paleocons and Libertarian Republicans have abandoned the Neocons to suffer the pains of abandoning true conservatism!(Are you happy that the bigots will not be voting on McAmnesty?) Have you noticed your congressmen leaving like a hurricane is comming ashore?
It's exciting to be able to vote for Chuck Baldwin and the CP party without Compromizing principle!.....The Neocon/Neo Jacobin Cult is done. |

Unless Obama can convince voters that Wright has developed his thinking in the past four weeks, I'm completely at a loss about how Obama stayed in Wright's church.
I'm certain that there were many other churches in the southside of Chicago where good outreach work was being done without this kind of a pastor. And I can't understand how a person as intelligent and well-educated as Obama didn't have the courage to get in Wright's grill and protested his objectionable views. I can only conclude that Obama made the political decision to keep his mouth shut in order to garner the support of Wright and his large congregation.
Sorry, I'm at a loss to consider Obama a uniter when he sat in the pews of Wright's church for so many years. |

Maybe Obama should be specifically asked: are these the very people (Wright, Ayers et al)or at least the types with whom he would surround himself or appoint, should there be an "Obama administration." While the Dams keep saying BO isn't responsible for what his friends say or do, it's absolutely true that "birds of a feather..." |

There are two ways that the PERCENTAGE of Republicans strongly supporting McCain would go up. One is that more Republicans are strongly supporting him. The other is that as Republicans continue to flee the party, the only ones remaining are those who like McCain. I'm betting the latter. GOP registrations were low to begin with and there is no sign that they aren't continuing to plummet. |
