David Axelrod wants John McCain and Sarah Palin to start taking responsibility for their "profane" supporters.
"There's absolutely no doubt that there's a kind of anger and resentment that is being stirred up with these rallies that's unhealthy and obviously Senator McCain aware of it," Axelrod said on MSNBC this morning.
Perhaps Mr. Axelrod would like explain why his Obamamaniacs threw Maltov cocktails at a McCain supporter's home then? Or apologize for the Obama supporters who vandalized the SC GOP headquarters?

The McCain camp could learn a great lesson about civil discourse from the libs. A great example would be Sandra Bernhard, whose very civil comments about "that f--king Palin b--ch" getting gang-raped are a great contrast to big bad Sarah's nastiness. |

8. Using Romney 6 months, hinting that he would choose him for veep, then giving him the bum's rush. (Romney remains a faithful footsoldier, speaking for McCain better than McCain speaks for himself.)
9. Choosing the least qualified person EVAH for VP as a cynical gender/religious play for evangelicals and disaffected Hillary voters.
10. Wandering aimlessly in search of a strategy 3 weeks to election day.
Sorry. I don't see a real good reason to vote for McNasty/McNappy.

Here's a deal:
McCain will take responsiblity for the 1/2 dozen individuals he doesn't know (and how do we know they are not Obama implants), apologize and ask them to keep it civil (I think he already did).
Obama will take responsibility and apologize for (multiple choice, he can even choose the best answer):
a.) the people involved in the Anneberg Challenge and especially the well respected educational reformer William Ayers, who's progam seems to have been a failure (thank god).
b.) ACORN
d.) Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and the failure to support John McCain back in 2005 concerning Freddie and Fannie.
e.) Attacking Milt Rosenberg's show, intimidating McCain supporters in Missouri , and trying to eliminate free speech by actively recuiting via email people to get in their faces. A discouragement of the free discussion of ideas.
f.) Encouraging race to be used as a weapon against his ideological opponents.
I'm sure there are more.

I'll not be voting for McCain because in part, of the tastless and classless voters that think that Palin is 1. sent by god, and is a moral person. Now, I'm not her judge and jury on that front, but I can vote for someone who will be a good example to my family. Sarah and John ain't it. Both have had affairs. Sarah was expecting first kid before marriage, taught daughter it's just fine to sleep with hockey team, so long as you 'take responsiblity' and marry the guy, if yhou know who he is. (adoption is a better choice than a teen marrarige).
To hear these toothless wonders spout on and on, makes me wonder how our America got to be so stupid and vile.

should control the people at HIS rallies wearing signs that say "Sarah Palin is a c*nt" and holding signs saying that Bristol Palin should have aborted her child.
And John McCain HAS asked his supporters to act respectfully.
Now why don't we talk about the conventions...in which just a handful of McCain supporters protested PEACEFULLY outside.
Then at the RNC, THOUSANDS of people protested VIOLENTLY and came into the convention (somehow obtaining press badges...hmmm...) screaming during Governor Palin's speech and during Senator McCain's speech.
That simply DID NOT happen at the DNC.
And Axelrod wants US to be respectful when Obama supporters are saying things like "Sarah Palin is a c*nt" and "Sarah Palin can s*ck it."

The reality is that McCain and Palin incited violence in their rallies with overt references to Obama palling with terrorists and questioning his religious affiliations. They've used the "keywords" - as your own Kathleen Parker puts it - to send a message to the basest of their base, and it's worked only to bring out the very, very worst in their supporters.
What's chilling is that when McCain belatedly tried to regain control of his mob, they wouldn't have it. They booed HIM for stating the reality of Obama's decency. His crowd is out of control and he is ineffectual in reining them in. Comforting thought, no? HE CAN'T CONTROL HIS ANGRY MOB. And Palin DOESN'T want to control it. She is openly gleeful in what she's wrought, isn't she? It's no wonder that the hockey crowd in Philly - and hockey fans are always the most honest in their sentiment - loudly in a prolonged and sustained manner, BOOED her the other night. |

the difference between the campaigns is that violent, racist comments are being shouted out WHILE McCain/Palin are speaking. And until Saturday, they said nothing in response. It took something utterly ridiculous (Obama is an Arab) for McCain to finally say something back.

Obama started this campaign calling McCain a liar and attempting to link him to George Bush. Now McCain calls him a liar and links Obama to William Ayers (read my blog why Ayers IS about the economy). Obama cannot take the heat. Obama's campaign from the get go has been about making the American people mad. Now if McCain gets people going, he has done something wrong and the corrupted media buys into it just because he said it. It's time for the people to rise up and vote to save this great nation.

A desperate attempt at trying to turn this thing around again for his candidate. He is just digging himself in even further. By ignoring his well-trained radicals on the left, he continues to confirm to the public that the unfair bias in this race will weigh heavily with the voters.
I am from Chicago and Mr. A. is practicing garden-variety Chicago Thug Politics. Go after the opposing party, intimidate them, use the race card, work the media and then stand back and act like you are above the fray.
I am so glad to see that the rest of the US isn't buying this tactic. Maybe that was his biggest mistake in assuming that rest of the country is like Chicago. |
