Ironically, They're "Uniters"
Posted by: Carol Platt Liebau at 11:59 AM
Matt argues below that Hillary Clinton is actually helping to unite us.  To the three points he lays out, I'd add a fourth:

Watching Hillary and Barack tack left in this primary season has done more than almost anything else could to ramp up my enthusiasm for a McCain victory.  He may not have been my first choice, but after what we're seeing and continuing to learn about both Democrat candidates, I'd crawl uphill over broken glass to cast a ballot for him -- and I suspect I'm not alone.

Information like this -- in a Chicago Tribune column by John Kass -- is the reason why:  One of the Dem candidates associates with terrorists . . . the other's husband pardons them.

McCain is our man.
Pulling down the ad about Obama sends a signal to all of us to rise above the fray, forget our differences and grudges, and unite for the good of the GOP party.

We must rally, financially dig deeper, and let the past be the past between us all. John needs our support now and we need him in the White House.

Chicago Tribune Failed Us
Although you may compliment Kass now, where has the Chicago Tribune been for the past five years? I'd expect see-no-evil, hear-no-evil, speak-no-evil from the Chicago Sun Times; however, I thought the Trib (my beloved paper of my youth) had a backbone.

Indeed, one of the members of its editorial board wrote a piece on the Ayers connection that ran April 20:

Still, in that column, Chapman wrote:

"I don't much care if he declines to wear a flag pin; I can overlook his wife's limited capacity for patriotic pride; and I defended his relationship with his former pastor."

The last part of that quotation concerned me. Sure enough, I found Chapman's March 23 article:

The Chicago Tribune should be ashamed of itself for not compiling Obama's many objectionable relationships. Nice hometown pass.

The Great Switch
Unfortunately, aperently there are people who do not agree. The msm made sure the public knew there was a great number of Republicans that swiched sides before the Penn. primary. I wonder how many in the upcoming states are going to follow suit. Not me, but the thought of all this is far from comforting becouse of what it could do for state elections.
