Sebelius "Misspoke" ... Just Like Bill Clinton

Marc Ambinder reports,
An administration official said tonight that Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius "misspoke" when she told CNN this morning that a government run health insurance option "is not an essential part" of reform.
That, of course, reminds me of this,
July 19, 1994 - Bill Clinton addresses the summer meeting of the National Governors' Association in Boston. He stuns reporters and White House aides by declaring that his bottom-line demand for universal coverage can be satisfied by a "phased-in deliberate effort" to expand the ranks of the insured from the current 85 percent to "somewhere in the ballpark of ninety-five percent upwards." As if that is not enough, Clinton also says he is "open to any solution" on how to pay for more coverage and that "there may be some other way for an employer mandate to do this." Chaos quickly spreads as the White House scrambles to erase the impression that he has backed down. (Emphasis mine)...
A Washington gaffe can be defined as accidentally telling the truth. As such, I think it's clear the "public option" is being abandoned -- whether they want to admit it, or not.
The real question is whether or not Republicans will stand firm and oppose compromise legislation as they did in 1994 (before the Revolution), or if they will essentially sell-out the conservative base as Bob Dole almost did that year ...

The horrors of the current plan in the House, the fact is most Americans don't want the government in their private business. The subtle ways of gathering information has been going on for years and we have been reassured that it's OK and don't be paranoid. Well were we? Heck no here comes the gov.HC plan and all the intrusions we have been fighting against for 200 years.
The President and the rest of the Congress should maybe take a refresher course in the constitution. As often as we see that issue brought up on the net we sure don't hear by the watch-dog MSM ,do we? |

Maggie, We the People have a Constitutional Right to form Citizen Grand Juries is investigate political corruption.
Our Founding Fathers gave We the People the Fourth Branch of Government, the Citizens Grand Jury, in Our Bill of Rights. These 12 Simple Steps are the way for Patriots to keep control of the Government and Clean up Corruption in Washington.

There seems to be an epidemic of "mis-speak" going on in the Obama administration. What is so utterly frustrating is that they don't get called on it. Sebelius drops a huge bomb in her statement about the "private option," and the controversy arising from the explosion is just wafted away with, "she misspoke."
When that happens to a Republican of course, the story for the next six weeks is that "they lied." At some point this hypocrisy is going to catch up to the Dems, if it hasn't already but it is getting unbearable to endure by ordinary folks. |

Now that the Prez. is feeling a certain severe pinching sensation in his sphincters over Americans' reaction to the Health Care Ponzi, the Republicans--and all of us out here--must keep the pressure on. Consistency, full-court press, nevaaah surrendaaah..!
I see that Dr. Howie Dean, whacko uber spokesman for the far Lib-Left wing of the Democrats, is huffing and puffing this a.m. Says there 'must' be the(faux)public option(meaning Big Nanny Control)for there to be Reform. The White House is shucking, jiving & prancing around the Sibelius statement over the weekend backing away from Nanny. Rahm the Evil and David the Dweeb are scrambling to figure a way to make the retreat a Victory Paradigm. This is NO time for our people in congress to get all huggy-feely, 'let's be friends and get along', compromisey Horse Shiite. Keep the pressure on these socialist pukes! How about TORT Reform??
We need that sort of firmness and consistency for the upcoming Cap & Tax Ponzi! |

of every aspect of our Lives. bo's plans have NOTHING to do with HealthCare, Banks, Autos, or the environment per se. bo could care less if our HealthCare system, our Banks, our Environment and our Businesses are RUINED!

Good Freaking Grief, Bud! Do you actually believe that the MORE space you SUCK on a Righty Site, the more we'll read your crap???? Do yo literally believe that MORE is better, Fool-Loser???
Focus: Go over to your empty Grand Jury blog and clog it to your heart's content. NOBODY reads your compulsive CRAP here. Trust that. |

...running smack into the wall of reality. Not pretty. |

This article shows how to spot the neoBO psyop CON. They advance bo's agenda by pretending to be against bo, then they encourage Conservatives to accept bo's latest CON (co-ops) as a "VICTORY." The only "victory" is for bo when he gets people to accept anything he does as "legitimate."

could control bo like they controlled Bill Clinton beginning in 1994. Clinton actually listened to the mandate of the Conservative Revolution in 94 and worked with Newt to give We the People the Welfare Reform that we wanted.
bo is clearly not about to give We the People anything that we want. Our only option now is to Legally Remove BO by the Citizen Grand Jury Process.

ideas like 'facts' and 'honesty' are not recognized by the progressive left. Words are viewed as tools to manipulate public opinion.
Sebelius didn't 'misspeak', or 'lie'. She floated a manipulation, so that the progressives could gather poll information on the resulting popularity of the 'new angle'. The 'official' stance is: Yes/no/maybe, depending on daily or weekly polling and the results of slanderous attacks against the opposition.
They have also recently attempted to rename 'public option' (which in itself is simply a euphemism for 'government takeover') to 'co-op'. The idea hasn't changed; it is, after all, just manipulative wording. Truth, honesty, and integrity are not recognized by moral relativists; those are merely 'public opinions' to manipulated.
The goal is single payer, socialist medical system; so matter how it gets spun. |

|
The only person who claims Sebelius misspoke is an "unnamed" administration official. Obama and Gibbs have both publicly said the same thing Sebelius said. They prefer the public option but the public option is not essential to reform. It's one part of a whole, and it is not critical. The goal of the public option can be achieved in several ways including Co-ops. There is no daylight between them. Nice try though. |
|
We're not done yet. The left wants socialized medicine, and won't stop until they get it.
This Trojan Horse didn't make it inside the gate, but they're already building the next one. |
|
The progressive democrat caucaus, 53 or 54 of them (far to many) said they wouldn't vote for reform without the public option. Ahh group idenity politics biting the democratic butt once again.
However, there will be a behind the door deal to sneak public option through, because thats what the left wants, and they'll lie cheat and steal to get it. They ain't done yet. |

unlike you righties, those of us on the left tend to have actual opinions. |

proven liar. To entertain debate with such a one is an exercise in absurdity. The "lying thing" is TH's answer to "DR" Roxana Meyer. In a recent thread authored by Carol Platt Liebau, the "lying thing" posted comments that can only be characterized as being reprehensible. An example should be made of this reprehensible, "lying thing". Our "Roxana" should be ostracized and ignored, and then left to slowly, slowly, slowly twist in the wind. Behold, TH's own, "DR" Roxana Meyer, the "lying thing". |
|
NOTICE: The thing called "cottoneyed' is really Carol Leibau. a proven liar and someone who feels that Obama got a gig she wanted in law school. She's not even an active legal practitioner...hmm, why would that be.
So, cotton, I mean Carol, get that rich hubby of yours to send you to one of San Marino's finest shrinks so you can finally forgive yourself that Obama was president of the law review and you weren't. You likely were in law school because of affirmative action. |
