State Employee Ordered to Check Out Joe the Plumber

More information is coming to light regarding the illegal "Nixon-like" background checks into Joe the Plumber. My question is: Who ordered it??? Here's the latest... "Vanessa Niekamp said that when she was asked to run a child-support check on Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher on Oct. 16, she thought it routine. A supervisor told her the man had contacted the state agency about his case. Niekamp didn't know she just had checked on "Joe the Plumber," who was elevated the night before to presidential politics prominence as Republican John McCain's example in a debate of an average American. The senior manager would not learn about "Joe" for another week, when she said her boss informed her and directed her to write an e-mail stating her computer check was a legitimate inquiry
The reason Niekamp said she was given for checking if there was a child-support case on Wurzelbacher does not match the reason given by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Director Helen Jones-Kelley said her agency checks people who are "thrust into the public spotlight," amid suggestions they may have come into money, to see if they owe support or are receiving undeserved public assistance.
Niekamp told The Dispatch she is unfamiliar with the practice of checking on the newly famous. "I've never done that before, I don't know of anybody in my office who does that and I don't remember anyone ever doing that," she said today. Democrat Gov. Ted Strickland and Jones-Kelley, both supporters of Democrat Barack Obama, have denied political motives in checking on Wurzelbacher. The Toledo-area resident later endorsed McCain. State officials say any information on "Joe" is confidential and was not released."

That woman donated 2600.00 dollars to Obama's campaign and she didn't know what she was doing is illegal?
How stupid are the American people to believe she isn't a Crook?
She should be put in Jail! |
|
her agency checks people who are "thrust into the public spotlight..."
Hmmm. Isn't there a guy who was thrust into the public spotlight about two years ago? Curious as to why the MSM refuses to do any due diligence checking on his background. But then, they may not have the staff resources found at the corner of Broad and High streets in downtown Columbus. |

democrats accuse republicans of, they do themselves. hypocracy at it's finest |
|
|
The ironic thing is that if Obama is elected President, the left will get the kind of government that they accused President Bush of running. This is just the start of it. |
|
Perfect justice for the Neo-Con freaks who supported the so-called "Patriot Act."
Privacy is over, folks. Deal with it. |
|
Are you really that dumb to lie down and accept that crap? Why is it you cannot say that it was wrong no matter who did it? Because what goes for your side is the end-all. Hypcrit. There is no justice as lon as people break the law and get away with it. Including the COW and his supporters. |

We have seen the mean spirited, trouble'making violation of our privacy with Obamacan'ts. Lady Sarahs family life revealed, to the world, by an Internet invasion from a Democrat. Joe the Plummers privacy has been violated etc,. Dirty tricks prevail. Whites have been served notice, we dare not speak truth to racial issues, also Obama censorship of reporters because they tell it like it is! Beware, the tip of the iceberg is starting to thaw and the truth will out but will we discover who the real Obama is in time, to protect America? We can thank the beguiled Obama media for not doing their job to vett and challenge the mysterious Rookie, with a thin resume, if the worst happens in an Obama Presdidency! Ex Democrat

This story is outrageous.
Who came up with the idea to punish Joe the Plumber in the first place? Governor Strickland, Helen Jones-Kelley or the Obama team.
If it was the Governor he should be voted out of office, if it was Helen she should be fired, and if it was Obama he should NOT get your vote.
Or all of the above! |
|
At long last, it sounds like we are going to get a liberal with a set of balls, who can play the bad-boy game just as well as the conservatives.
Finally! |

In Cuba, Castro has a system of internal spies who report anything "counter-revolutionary" to the government. Everyone knows who they are and fear them. It is the complete lack of privacy that keeps the Cubans in line.
Bush implemented the same system using US banks to report "suspicious" banking activity. He called it "Know Your Customer" and it was intended to discover drug dealers and money launderers. The system was abandoned after ferocious public opposition but brought back with the Patriot Act. This time Bush swore that such powers would only be used to go after "terrorists".
That system was then used to expose New York governor Elliot Spitzer's infidelity with hookers. It seems that Spitzer's large cash withdrawals were "suspicious". As despicable as Spitzer is, he is not a terrorist (unless you consider Spitzer's own illegal searches to be terrorism).
Now we see the beginnings of a new system that Obama already has in place. Dedicated "Obamists" ready to use the state to destroy a man whose only "crime" was to ask a couple of extremely embarrassing questions to their leader. This combines the worst elements of Castro and Bush.
Those of you who cheered the privacy violations of the Patriot Act as a big advance in the "War on Terror" were told repeatedly that such powers were dangerous in the hands of anyone. I myself have posted here and in other places the question "Would you trust Hillary with this power?"
We'll never know your answer now, but after January, we'll get to see Obama I, Lord of the Americas, using that power. |

Unfortunately, this story seems like something you would read about in a foreign country.
It is almost unbelievable. |

This woman should be fired, who is she to tell someone to look into someones personal files because they become popular. She had no right to do this. If Joe in any way was behind on his child support or any other moneys owed to the government, then there should be something done. But it was leaked to the press that he had tax problems and this is found out not to be true. So what this person has done is illegal and she should be held accountable for the damages she caused Joe the Plumber. All he done was asked a question. THE RIGHT QUESTION! |

Stop smoking Hopium.
The Patriot Act doesn't have anything to do with this goofball. Child Support offices have strict confidentiality and database information access laws. Child Support workers cannot go rifling through state and federal database records on people without due cause. That "due cause" must be verifiable.
The question is, when did Jones-Kelly make the connection that Wurzlebacher was "Joe the plumber". Did someone tell her that's who he was in private; or did she find out about it through the news? Did this come from Strickland's office or even the Obama campaign?
Common sense says possibly. If the paper trail is solid, facing termination, and possible fines and jail time, Jones-Kelly might consider singing like a bird. That's when it gets really interesting.
