President-elect Barack Obama will name Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State in a 10:40 EST press event on Monday.

The third Clintonista regime...
...being ushered in by ACORN Hussein Obama will be about self serving politicians adavancing their personal wealth (just like the first two Clintonista regimes). The first people they have already abandoned are their hard core leftist minions. Unfortunately, they are so hung up on his personality cult, they will never become aware of the truth.

Their ideology is now, "God Dam* America, show me the money!"
Salvatore writes: Monday, December, 01, 2008 8:25 AM
Hillary Clinton.
I think Hillary Clinton,
would do a fine job as Sec of State.

"The only way they can "work it out" is to ignore it."

No, they can just lower the Secretary of State's salary. It was done twice before, the first time under Nixon (Saxbe) and the second time under Clinton (Bentsen).

This issue is about as important as the Bush/Cheney workaround for the requirement that the P and VP be from different states, when they both lived in Texas. That is, not important at all.

You guys are really grabbing at straws, aren't you?

Bob
Check out Artical 1 Section 6 Clause 2 of the Constitution. She's not eligible. The only way they can "work it out" is to ignore it. I thought only Bush did that? Oh well, so much for change Bob.

"Yet no word from Bob Munck and his ilk! Why is that Bob?"

I know nothing about any "Artical-1" or whether or not she's "eligibile." I'm sure they'll work it out.

Actually 16
Bob Munck:

I'd say the position has been effectively vacant for 16 years

Steven is................
..........100% right. According to Artical-1 Section-6 Hillary is not eligibile. Yet no word from Bob Munck and his ilk! Why is that Bob?

Ivan and all of his liberal
brethren are free to suckle at the teat of hope and audacity and change and whoever else they find gives them the emotional reinforcement they so desire. Be forewarned; there is a noticeable lack of nutritional information on those teats.

History....
will prove that Condi Rice will end up being twice the SecState that 'ol Pantsuit Clinton turns out to be.........
And what about that "wealth of experience and credibility to draw on"?????????
She's been a US Senator for a grand total of 6 years........
Spending 8 yrs as 1st lady doesn't count......
Prior to Senate job and 8 yrs as 1st lady, her roots go back to Arkansas....
Logic says Arkansas would have been where she logically would have gone home to run for US Senate......
She knew she couldn't get elected in Arkansas, as their voters were wise to the Clinton's ways after 8 yrs President and after Bill had been Governor.....
Hillary went where EVERY self-respecting carpetbagger goes to get elected.......
New York state.........
Bobby Kennedy paved the way many decades ago....
Bob Munck writes: Sunday, November, 30, 2008 2:10 PM
At Last
The position has been effectively vacant for about four years now.
Steven Den Beste writes: Sunday, November, 30, 2008 12:29 PM
Elegibility
I thought that she was constitutionally ineligible, because of the "emoluments" clause.
