Sound Familiar? Here's McClellan on Richard Clark's "Tell All" Book

Via the White House's website, here's what Scott McClellan had to say about Richard Clark's book back in '04:
Q Why do you think he's doing this? MR. McCLELLAN: Well, why, all of a sudden, if he had all these grave concerns, did he not raise these sooner? This is one-and-a-half years after he left the administration. And now, all of a sudden, he's raising these grave concerns that he claims he had. And I think you have to look at some of the facts. One, he is bringing this up in the heat of a presidential campaign. He has written a book and he certainly wants to go out there and promote that book. Certainly let's look at the politics of it. His best buddy is Rand Beers, who is the principal foreign policy advisor to Senator Kerry's campaign. The Kerry campaign went out and immediately put these comments up on their website that Mr. Clarke made.
(Emphasis mine).

What was that old saying...?
If one person calls you a pig, you can ignore him.
If a second person calls you a pig, you can argue with them.
If a third person calls you a pig, you should probably start looking for the mud hole. |

Dem/libs hate America.
If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man. - Pudd'nhead Wilson

[Dem/libs hate America.]
Now, now. Flag pins aside, judging the parties by their actions and the consequences they've created, I think I'd say that both parties must really hate America.
Especially since they graced us with Billy Bob and W as Presidential candidates in back to back succession.

That's a great quote, and oh so true.
I just watched a couple of minutes of McClellan talking to Olberman. Talk about selling your soul to the devil. Sad. |

It is a crime that the writing of America's greatest writer and a man who did so much to fight racism, Mark Twain, are banned from so many schools for being racist. Just shows you how ignorant so called "liberals" and "progressives". They are nothing but "new age puritans". |

He'll never get another job. I see NBC/PMSNBC is falling all over him. We'll see how long that lasts.
I'll be interested to see if Russert pussyfoots with him on Sunday. |

They don't care about context or substance. it's the PC words that they turn into red flashing words; then, like good Orwellian characters, they shout them loud and long until all reason is drowned out.
"Uncle Tom", "McCarthyism" and "Global Warming" are popular terms of which they don't understand the stories.
Two days ago a coworker said, "Remember when Dan Quayle argued with a TV character?" She didn't even remember what it was about. I didn't bother to tell her that the hubbub was over about 3 sentences in a 40 minute speech nor was Quayle arguing with a TV character. What he said was single motherhood may be glamorous for rich people but it sends the wrong message to the not so rich. Hmmmm, it seems he and Moynihan are right.

He could be trying to become a John Dean, David Gergen type "Republican", who dutifully regurgitate the lefty lines. The media love them, he'll be fine. |

Stepanopolis proved you can be "regretful" for your non-actions while stabbing your guy in the back and get a job as a "television journalist" without having spent one minute in journalism school. And this was before blogworld. |
