Purging: Deja Vu

By now, it's been widely reported that Barack's web masters were busy "purging the surge" -- or at least, Barack's opposition to it -- over the weekend.
Does this sound familiar to anybody? Remember when Hillary Clinton accused Barack of "scrubbing" his web site of all support for the war? Here's a snippet from a January '08 piece in the Huffington Post:
"It is a fact that after Senator Obama spoke out against the war in 2002, he removed the speech from his website when he started running for the Senate," said Clinton spokesman Phil Singer in a written statement to The Huffington Post.
So first Barack removed a speech opposing the war at a time (2004) when such opposition might have opened his "judgment" to question. Now he's doing the same thing when the surge's success makes it clear that his much-vaunted "judgment" in opposing it was nothing if not flawed.
Well, removing any record of a strike-out is a great way to build a record of batting a thousand.

C'mon people, it's a living breathing website, with people changing his positions for him as the political winds blow. Plus, having principals and core values just weighs you down, man!
Therein lies the difference between a leader and a run of the mill, crooked, Chicago politician.

The scrubbing is no surprise to me. Even his Democratic colleagues are concerned. Obama has several key Veep contenders, residing in key battle states, who have indicated they are not interested in being vetted as a potential Veep contender. Today I heard that respected Democrats are concerned that Obama is not supporting their campaign efforts, Obama does not communicate with Democrat state and U.S. representatives that he’s visiting their states, and Obama, as well as his team, snub any advice given by sage Demo leaders, because they’ve decided they know better. Obama changes the venue of his acceptance of his presidential nomination to a venue in Denver, Invesco Field that will cost the Democratic Party and news broadcasters millions of dollars. According to the Times Online, Barack Obama's Berlin visit sparks German diplomatic row.
Obama is not about “real” change, He’s not been conciliatorily with his Democratic colleagues let alone telling the American people he’s a unifier. Obama (and his wife Michelle) claim they care about the working class Americans and yet Obama is willing to spend millions of wasteful dollars by moving his acceptance of the Democratic Party to Invesco Field. And, let’s talk about diplomacy; his need to deliver a speech in Germany that has sparked German diplomatic row demonstrates that Obama is about Obama. He’s egotistical, he lacks judgment, and he appears to be the opposite of everything he espouses.
If Obama is elected, the fools that voted for him better not decry how they were hood winked—they knew what they were getting and they chose not to see it.

You can't trust Obama, any further then you can throw him! Honesty is not a virtue of his, as his many words and actions depict. Of course, if you've invested in him, the last thing you want to know is his lack of credibility/sincerity Obama is the Jack of all "sides", not spades! He has hit and run, flipped and flopped on so many issues, we are overwhelmed and can't keep up! |
