Teflon Sarah
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 9:20 AM
The WaPo's Chris Cillizza wonders whether Sarah Palin has that special quality that immunizes her from attack.

Hard to say as no legit attack has been directed against the Alaska governor yet, and the continuing wave of scurrilous attacks just add to her appeal as she shrugs them off and keeps moving forward to introduce herself and defend the "change and reform" agenda of McCain-Palin.

Yesterday's cyber-mugging of the governor and her family was just another episode demonstrating the unhinged nature of many of the Obamians, another reminder to the country that it doesn't really want to hire on the Obama team to run the nation's security, its finances, and its future.

Daniel Henninger has a column today on the need to focus on Palin's reform record and marry it to McCain's history of battling D.C. insiders.  Obama nad Biden are confirmed cronyists through every stage of their careers, and this is the line on which the next seven weeks should be fought.

Haters
Long before the name Lewinski was well know, certain rabid conservatives defined themselves as Haters and, unintentionally, made themselves onjects of ridicule even as they immunized the Clinton's from potentially valid accusations.

I am surprised that the "Hater" syndrome continues to be a popular option for pundits who, obviously, want to increase their influence. After both Bill Clinton and George Bush won re-elections despite (because?) of the over-reactions of so many outspoken haters... Sarah Palin effortlessly goads the MSM to cooperatively step up, walk to the sidelines, and leave the game.

Self-marginalization.

Priceless.

Media has lost credibility
Sarah Palin is immune from attack because the media has lost all credibility. Over at nancysinsights.com we break down the latest cbs/ new york times poll that gives Obama a 5 point lead. He has a five point lead because they oversampled democrats by 10%! The blatant cheer leading the media has done and deliberate distortion of polls is what has made Sarah "Teflon". No one believes them anymore about anything..
Briggsy writes: Thursday, September, 18, 2008 10:38 AM
What do you mean "no legit attack" ?

You are in denial about the chunks being taken out of her persona every day, and how her star is dimming.

I feel bad for her, and hope she isn't crying herself to sleep.

Her handlers in the McCain campaign have not served her well.

Didn't you ever read Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica, the rich snob? Every time the girl-next-door Betty got the better of Veronica, we all cheered.

Haven't you seen the movie, Mean Girls, where Lindsey Lohan was the untouched, refreshing, home schooled girl who got thrown in with a bunch of rich, deviant, devious SoCal girls--and finally won the day?

Every woman out there who's ever been at the mercy of the mean girls is pulling for Palin.

It's funny how when some wacko kills an abortion doctor, the right wing is like "hey, we didn't do it, and don't blame us."

Keep the focus on Palin. Please! I guess you guys forgot that she is not the TOP of the ticket. Yesterdays "town hall" meeting (reminded me of the fake Bush town halls where only the faithful are invited) showed that he is still a bumbling fool and Sarah had to finish most of his sentences like a granddaughter covering for her senile old grandfather. Look at the polls! Her approval is way, way down. Its not the attacks. The more people look at her and her "verbiage", they realize quickly that there is nothing but BS there. She sounded like a high school student infromnt of Insanity last night. Boy, what a tough interview that was. In the end, she still sounded scripted and fake.

Speaking to an audience in Elko, Nevada, today, Senator Obama said, "I want you to get out and talk to your friends and neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independents or Republicans. I want you to argue with them and get in their face." Suppose that instead of "independents or Republicans" a local pastor had urged his flock to take the same approach toward "Catholics and Jews." Would anyone think that this would be an effective sales tool, much less an appropriate way to talk to one's neighbors and friends? John McCain should use the clip of this admonition and then urge his own supporters to speak respectfully to anyone they are attempting to persuade to vote for him.

GREG, About Obama's "Get in Their Face"
I quit voting Democratic in 1996 when I realized that I just couldn't stomach the party's lack of real men.

Bill was an adolescent serial adulterer who hated the military and danced away from any sort of confrontation with our enemies---a real man, that.

Al Gore disgusted me when he stuck his tongue down his wife's throat before millions of people, succeeding both in dissing her and making his nerdy self look just stupid. Not exactly manly behavior.

John "Jen-Jish Kahhhhhn" Kerry was a fop.

He was the first of the slew of metrosexuals that infest the Democratic party---kids like Gavin Newsom and Barak Obama.

They are boys who have never taken a principled stand in their lives and would run from the room screaming if they ever had to deal with a thug like Hugo Chavez or Vladimir Putin.

The only real men in that party, people like Joe Lieberman and Zell Miller, have been pushed out.

So when young Barak mans up and tells Demos to "get in their face," you know that the kid is checking the filmstrip in his head labeled "How Real Men Talk When They Want Everybody to Know That They're Real Men."

Cracks me up.

It did not work then, it will not work now. Penalysing small and big business, which hire all workers except Govt. moles, will be smashed. And people need to keep in mind, Congress is run by Dems. That is where tax laws and regs are passed. Most states now have Dem. legs. They pass taxes left and right too. One major problem is that people keep electing Dems all over the nation then gripe when economic issues blast them. And blotto, all the blame goes to Reagan-Bush, Christians, the GOP, conservatives. It is the same old game plan and it seems to work. How to counter these lies and tactics is what John and Sarah need to do to really have a chance to win.

She Just Doesn't Have What It Takes.
Palin may have served well as a small town mayor. And time will tell if she has what it takes to govern Alaska.

But responsible Republicans are telling it like it is. She doesn't have what it takes.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7623771.stm

One of the most conservative publications in the country, the Atlantic, doesn't think she has what it takes to hold high office in Washington.

James Fallows hits the nail on the head:

"What Sarah Palin revealed [in her response to the Bush Doctrine question] is that she has not been interested enough in world affairs to become minimally conversant with the issues. Many people in our great land might have difficulty defining the "Bush Doctrine" exactly. But not to recognize the name, as obviously was the case for Palin, indicates not a failure of last-minute cramming but a lack of attention to any foreign-policy discussion whatsoever in the last seven years."

Here's the whole thing:

Governor Palin shouldn't try to out credential Biden when it comes to foreign affairs. In a debate she should let him ramble on. He tends to do that to incoherence.

Self proclaimed foreign affairs experts, in Washington, are a dime a dozen. Actual reformers, who look out for the tax payers, are almost nonexistant inside of the Beltway. McCain has the reformer credentials in Washington. Sarah Palin has the reputation in Alaska and will take it to Washington.

The governor can learn on the job. Obama and Biden will not change their profligate spending habits. They won't be allowed to by their constituants. The problems haven't been with revenues so much as with spending.

Princess MaryS...PERFECT !
I always love to watch MarStella spank the snot out of a kosroid twit in that spectacularly unique MaryS way she has.

CincyTwit, our Cabal Princess has asked--telepathically--that we spare your meager life. And, so, we shall. My personal choice would have been prolonged and horrible. But, she is more merciful than I.

arch,
YES, Liberals, are consistant at one thing, shattering little skulls, and proud of it. And if the baby is born even after they tried to kill it, and survived the abortion, they toss the baby in the linen-trash closet, and Obama, does not want to have any doctor be inconvenienced to attend the perishing baby.

Palin pretty, look right
McCain look old

Father, daughter unite
And Obama win.

dudley,
Vice President Palin,
to you.

Obama, will write a book,
'I had a bad Dream'

President McCain,
will do just fine.

There will be a long long line of Republican Presidents: Palin, Steele, Jindal...Rice...
History will require it.
History will judge Obama, poorly.
He will be accused of the demise of Democrats and Hillary's dream of presidency.
How could you forgive him, denying Hillary the Office? Why Biden?
What Obama did to Hillary was very unjust, insulting & disrespectful.

Is he a journalist? Or did FOX News just put out their own version of the View?

Perhaps we all need to send Sean a Massengill Disposable Dou$he...after that interview there's got to be an odor emanating from him.

I'm guessing since you don't refute what I say you agree with it. In other words, insulting me doesn't refute the idea that Sean Hannity has a vagina.

I am not insulting you Kyle. I am refuting your vapid meaningless posts with a dose of your own libtard medicine. If Hannity had a vagina only you would know for sure as it tastes funny when your mother has been with him Right?

You see. When the libtards run up against a vile repugnant character of their own ilk, they run and hide behind mamma's skirt. Kyle is a good human being but a moron of a debater. I simply showed him what he appears on this post and he flees in dishonor.(laughter).

Seriously...
You guys can't debate. You think you win every argument by saying "trolls," "communism," "libtard," or "obama bin biden." But that doesn't quite work. For example, when I layout example after example of Palin lying about the things you find so endearing and you respond by calling me a troll, I win.

Seriously, I'd be happy to debate anyone on here about anything. You name the topic.

Arch says'

Kyle. You have showed to what sleazy lengths a libtard will sink to make his point on this forum. I regret going down there with you, but someone had to! Stalin will be proud of your effort! Now Go Away!

How can we debate rationally with an argument that has no base? Your accusations are directly pulled from the grocery store tabloids. You want respect without earning it which indicates to me you are young and definitely a democrat.Again the topic is teflon Sarah.

Sane woman. You have forgotten that there are many women who love Sara Palin and all she represents. These are the family orientated backbone of American society, How can you criticize the hero of the American woman without distancing yourself from mainstream families and their values? Do we need to be led by elitist posers and fancy talkers or be led by men of patriotism and demonstrated valor? You would have it against the American family backbone of society, wouldn't you?

What part of (she killed the project)don't you understand? If thirty investigators can't find anything how are you going to? Please don't let me deter you on your mission to find dirt on this fine American family for it is a such a worthy cause.Maybe you could connect Palin to a domestic terrorist,a race baiting America hating clergyman,or a convicted felon.

You wanna make me dependent upon politicians for my well being?
