Who's Engaging in Extracurricular Sign Removal?
Posted by: Mary Katharine Ham at 5:50 PM
Green Mountain Politics has video of what looks like a Romney enthusiast removing McCain signs and replacing them with Mitt signs in New Hampshire. Click to watch:

That oughtta help restore the love lost between those two, huh?

"You're right cavalier973, this could be anyone from any of the campaigns."

Sure. Could be. But usually the right explanation is the simplest one. That Mitt directed his supporters to rip up McCain signs (probably near an event he was to attend) and replace them with Romney signs.

That's the simplest explanation and doesn't reauire a convoluted conspiracy theory to explain it.

Why exactly do Romney's supporters try to spin off everything Mitt has been caught doing? It has happened so many times now, I fully expect them to start talking about the illuminati working to take Mitt down.

I think McCain got out of the race
Yeah, I think he's dropped out and endorsing Romney. His staff must have gotten word to remove his signs and put up Romney's. Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket!

So what?
How do we know the signs aren't just McCain folks moving them to a diff location? Sheesh...

Having worked on campaigns
I have some very funny stories. We caught the democrats putting their 4x4 signs OVER ours one Halloween, good thing we had the police with us when took theirs down. They would put 4x4s on people's land without asking. Martin Frost, when he ran against Pete Sessions, actually would put his signs in yards without permission saying "if they dont't want them, they'll take them down." He simply didn't care. One funny one was when Pete Sessions himself went and took some signs down because they were illegally placed in the right of way, and got caught. have a staffer do it!

Green Mountain Politics?
I'm sure I have never heard of Green Mountain Politics. Maybe they just needed some free advertising?
You're right cavalier973, this could be anyone from any of the campaigns. It seems to me that this wouldn't be hard to figure out who the people are in the video. Does GMP not have the ability to ask more before airing the video. It would be fun to know. Consequently, it's worthless without knowing who dunnit.

Looks like a set up to me
Two cameras rolling. Broad day light. No running and hiding once the deed was done. This looks like a set up to me.

This is hilarious, but normal
This is the kind of thing you do when you work for a campaign. I agree with ericn that these are probably not really Romney supporters. Of course, they could be Romney supporters who want you to think they're from another campaign. Then again, they could be McCain supporters, trying to make us think they're Romney supporters, etc. etc. etc.

I was never really sure of the importance of signs, but campaigns seem to put a lot of store by them

Is that Hugh back there
in the video?!?!? HA!

This is bogus.
What idiot would do this with cameras rolling? How about a McCain/Huckabee team member? Oh yeah, they are in cahoots together.
