What Are You Doing This Weekend?
Posted by: Mary Katharine Ham at 8:53 PM

Pop quiz. What's the absolute least sexy thing on earth? Getting out the vote for the GOP? Yep, now that is unsexy. So, what do I do? I turn it into a dating line commercial. Ha. I love vlogging.

Sign up to make calls from home, right here. It's gonna be all about getting out the vote, so start now. "There are so many fun and exciting Republicans just waiting for you to call them." Hee.

Kat, do you read these comments?
entertaining (if a little sad)

Katherine Ham ...America’s flag
Katherine Ham is getting out the vote
Pleading for you and America’s hope
While Bush is trying
The liberals are lying
Make no mistake
Freedoms at stake
Pelosi, Kennedy, Clinton, and more
Will toss the Constitution out the door
Your taxes and other costs will rise
If you don’t believe, you’re in for a surprise
With people like Katherine encouraging you
America’s flag will remain Red, White, and Blue.

Kudos!
A good spoof for a great cause.

YEAH!!!!
LOLOLOL! Priceless, MKH. As an encouragement, though, don't you think that Jon Carry, Howie the Clown and their fellow Dhimms have been doing a lot of our footwork for us??

God bless...

could make it sexy, Ms. Ham, it would be you. Very funny.

Something's wrong
I tried 976-HOTT-HAM and it didn't work out so well. Can someone please post the correct chatline number?
Corona writes: Sunday, November, 05, 2006 8:18 AM
Tee hee
This is even funnier than those amusing charicitures of Gore Vidal and Susan Sonntag.

Kosher Ham is best served hot. :o)

Way Cool!
Timely, funny stuff, Mary Katharine!

A much better idea than the recoded messages from Jesse Jackson and AFSCME that keep clogging up my answering machine.

Jack.

So...
If I give you my number and claim I'm considering not voting, will you give me a call MK?

Hey, a fella can dream...

Okay, so I can't type... Fiji ...
does anyone else type phonetically?
Lisa in DC writes: Saturday, November, 04, 2006 10:53 PM
Thanks to you...
LOL Love the video. I haven't done the calling yet, but I did volunteer to do a GOP lit drop in Arlington Country today. I've never done anything like that before, and wouldn't have without your prodding! :-)

My volunteer buddy and I left lit for Tom O'Donoghue, who is running for the House seat in the 8th district (reservist who served in Iraq and Afghanistan), and for Mike McMenamin running for Arlington County Board, who is hoping to inject a little fiscal prudence into the currrent 5-member board - all democrats with a $1B (yes, BILLION) budget. And yes, this is apparently twice the national budget of Figi... did you know that only ~200,000 live in Arlington County? No wonder it costs so much to register my car in Arlington....

Go Mike! Go Tom!
Mister Snitch! writes: Saturday, November, 04, 2006 10:43 PM
Very funny
Hmm... wonder if this would work for the Dems if Cindy Sheehan did the same spot.

Oh stop shuddering.
Benaiah writes: Saturday, November, 04, 2006 10:40 PM
Well
that certainly turned me on...to voting. ;)

Very cute MK. hehe

It's a good idea. The Ds in the media have been working hard to try to keep the Rs at home on election day by making us think that it's a lost cause. We need to let our Rs know that their votes do count and will make a difference, and we will win if they get out and vote.

Too Funny
That is hilarious! "Those" commercials always make me laugh and this one is just classic. :) Great job!
Jim C. writes: Saturday, November, 04, 2006 9:47 PM
funny!
Too short, though. A full minute would have been better.
tdau1997 writes: Saturday, November, 04, 2006 9:40 PM
Saucy...
lol, good stuff. On a related note, I would not feel comfortable calling folks like that. It's got a very 'telemarketer' feel to it. I am glad there are people who don't mind it because I am sure it helps, but I'd need to find another way to help out.

I worked for a phone bank once...
But Bush still lost Pennsylvania. I got a free t-shirt, though.
