I don't know who would be best or worst
between Nixon and Bush.........
ALL I KNOW is that neither is as great as Reagan...
AND neither is nearly as bad as Goober Carter...

Yes
The answer is yes. Bush was much worse than Nixon. Look at our economy for crying out loud.

Leave it to George W...
I never thought I'd live to see anyone make Bush1, Reagan, and yes Nixon look good by comparison.

Crumbling stone.
If your soul requires solace, seek salvation. Stop profiting, selling services and then squealing that you’re feeling sorry. Just pathetic.

Additionally, as to our recent glorious dead from the second Iraq war, too bad the Democrats during the first Gulf War prevented the war from extending beyond the 100 hrs. that General Schwarzkopf needed to kick the Iraqi's out of Kuwait.

If the Democrats of that congress, including Mr. Gore, Mr. Gephardt, call the role, ... hadn't fought tooth and 'snail' to delay the resolution and then made it clear that there was to be no taking of Saddam's head or removal of his regime, we'd not have had to deal with him years later, after 9/11.

And deal with him we had to do.
Does any sober student of Saddam Hussein propose that after 9/11, Saddam would not have used the inferno and the passions to bootstrap his own terror and raise his own standing in the region?

Does anyone propose that Saddam would not have sought to go tit for tat with bin Laden? Does anyone deny the SCUDS of the first gulf war?

Don't regret the "W" administration. Hate the events and players that got us to 9/11 and caused our national treasures to be lost fighting to prevent further destruction.

No value in this kind of hindsight Mr. Stone. Mea culpa doesn't wash without error.

Bush? Reagan?
I have just about had it with almost all of you.

You don't remember Reagan as Reagan actually was. You remember Reagan as he has been portrayed. All of you need to do a little more research into President Reagan. I did really like Reagan, but Reagan was FAR from perfect.

As for President Bush and this economy, the economy was humming for quite sometime, in fact all the way through the fall of 2007.

A little history folks . . . 2001-02 the President called attention to what was happening with Freddie and Fannie (where it all began), continued to ask Congress to deal with it in 2003-2006, but we have a problem, and that is the dems and a few republicans.

Are any of you familiar with Senate rules? Probably not! The Senate is usually where everything comes to a grinding halt. If there are not 60 votes to pass a bill, the bill can be stopped. And that is what happened in the Senate . . . Dodd and Schumer. In fact, Schumer significantly aided the destruction of Indy Mac Bank. Check this out: http://www.cnbc.com/id/25654303

As for the House, we had Barney Frank.

You can actually go back through history. This current problem began years and years ago.

Wise up folks! READ!

Of course!
Of course, Bush will be seen as the worst President ever. No question.

At least Nixon had the decency to resign.

And read about the economic legacies of Presidents. Nixon's was a disaster. Ford reigned it in. Carter ruined the progress, Reagan's policies made us stable again. Bush 41 raised taxes but the economy grew slow and steady. Clinton inherited some good policy and had the highest tax increases ever. Bush 43 was handed a recession, surplus was a lie and then we have the credit crisis. None of which was due to the policies enacted by this President. GO ahead, if you libs can stand the truth. Put your BDS aside and read my blog.

Bush
I'm no great fan of Bush, but there are just so many things for which a president can be blamed. The congress holds the purse strings and they are controlled by Democrats! He takes almost all the blame for the incompetent Democrat congress and senate (who are in the majority by the way). He had 9/11 thrust upon him as well as several major disastors such as Katrina. People expect the government to cure all their ills. In the case of Katrina, most of the blame can be laid at the feet of the Democrat local and state government. People blame Bush for everything and the Democrats in particular have used this ruse ever since they took over the majority role. Pelosi and Reid have done nothing but blame him for all their ineptness. I'm sure Obama will blame Bush during his first term to conver for all his ineptness.

What's fair is fair and there are plenty of mistakes Bush has made, but he cannot be blamed for all our ills. The economic crisis can be laid at the feet of the likes of Franks and Dodd, but most assuredly they will blame Bush. One can say "congressional greed" was the cause of our economic ills. One Michigan house member even said tax monies do not belong to the people!

BUSH
Bush was no Reagan. Reagan is the type of President that comes along once every 50 years; as for where Bush ranks compared to Clinton, Carter, his father, Ford, Nixon, Kennedy - the top.

Bush inherited a recession. He cut taxes twice and led us out of the recession and into a period of low taxes, low unemployment and low inflation. After the worst terrorist attack he went after our enemies and there has not been another attack on our US soil since. I doubt anyone would have guessed that after the morning of 9/12.

As for the current economic situation, Bush has had little if anything to do with the current downturn. If you think otherwise please provide the proof. The Fed made capital very attainable. Banks we forced to make loans to undeserving individuals, thanks to the Democrats. Financial institutions created and sold illiquid and super high risk paper. People assumed the real estate boom would never end and kept borrowing against their housing assets.

A President deals with lots of tough situations over their four to eight years in office. How and what are the results are how a President should be judged. Bush led us out of a recession and successfully (despite what the liberals think) in a war on terrorism that has resulted in zero attacks on US soil. Obama will walk into a tough environment of crisis’s in the financial and auto sector. How he deals with it is how he will be judged. He can no longer give lip service, he now has to deal. I wish him the best but I expect the worst!

I invited all your troll spweing the BDS to my blog to read some truth. Click my name. Rmemeber, soldiers volunteer do defend this great Country. And FYI, even while fighting in two theaters, the military continues to meet or exceed it's recruiting goals. How about that?

And as long as you want Bush and Cheney on a platter, be sure to add to that the list of all of those who voted for the war, 'kay'kay? It's only fair!!!

And, the looting started with the dems and the many kickbacks they got...Diane Feinstein's hubby, Pelosi's son, Chris Dodd, Rahm Emmanuel, the COW, William Jefferson,Harry Land Deal Reid, even BillyJeff Clinton to mame a few.

So, to be fair, why don't we add up how many people have really died since this started and be acccurate. 4204 US Soldiers, 877 thousand fatalities, hostile and non. Below 1 million and not the millons you believe it to be based on nothing other than BDS. DOD stats including all coalition force reports.

Salvatore - thanks
What to me will be most interesting is to see how the liberals deal with these crises. For eight years all we have heard is Bush is evil, stupid, Hitler, "the worst President ever," etc. I have not heard one liberal solution to any crisis. Now the liberals will control the White House, the Senate and Congress. They are going to have to solve serious problems. Obama will no longer be speaking to a crowd of 100k college idiots who think he can walk on water. He will now be accountable. Good speaking skills do not solve problems. I wish him the best but expect the worst.

I have a feeling in four years people are going to realize Bush was actually a pretty good President!

Bush is a good president
Pres Bush hasn't done everything right but what president has. He has kept our taxes low and we have been able to keep our money instil of the government getting it. Remember the disgrace Clinton brought to the White House. And our taxes we paid. I was working then and I remember my small pay check after taxes was taking out. I remember paying for my own hospitalize until I turn 65. I was raised a democract. But as I got older I kept wondering what was it I didn't like about them ant more They had high taxes and most of all they lie and people believe their lies, I not a Democrat anymore And i don't trust them anymore. i believe the American people are most all Christian people and when they see people who need help they give it I don'e think it is the government responsable. And our great Jimmy Carter was a diaster to the America people. And Obama would not have been elected President if the 18 years olds hadn't elected him in. The Democract are glowing now but before he through. It may not be so great. You who remember think about it.
