The Whole & Very Uncomfortable Prejean Walks Off Larry King Interview
Posted by: Greg Hengler at 12:58 PM
Trying to understand what led to Carrie Prejean's actions on "Larry King [is still a] Live" within the 3-minute clip is unfair. So I am providing a clip of the full interview (I pulled a couple irrelevant pieces to fulfill YouTube's 10-minute quota) so you can see the mood Larry set at the beginning and throughout the whole interview. Like most emotional moments, there's more to it than meets the eye.

Here you will see and hear King's immediate hostility towards Carrie; his smug responses; the constant pen tapping while Carrie is talking; other inappropriate and irrelevant questions like, "Have you seen the video?"; and the agreement that there would be no questions from callers (especially the first and last hand-picked call); et al.

I believe this interview vindicates Prejean's charge that she and other conservative women are unfairly targeted by the liberal media. If you don't believe me, observe how Larry King treats the Goracle on tomorrow night's program.

Larry King...
8 wives? Or am I behind on the count?

Don't even have to watch it to know he objectifies women. So whats the point of taking interviews like this seriously? He has alot of alimony to pay and gotta keep the ratings up, less he wind up like Ed McMahon.

Good for her
Prejean was answering the over-the-top hostile questioning honestly and straightforwardly. King was on a mission to "palinise' her; make her look hesitant and ignorant; good for her for walking off his idiot show.

Five stories on Carrie Prejean in two days - did they mention she's selling a book? And look who's first in line to comment! Tell us again how the left wing controls these things at Town Hall.

Not by a longshot.

Larry was asking very flat and straight forward questions. He simply asked 'Why Did you Settle ?' and that's considered over the Top ?

Plus she lied about the tape ---- she was not 17years old but 20 when she sent it...

and evidently there are many many more.

Plus she goes around saying her Free Speech is being violated - however she incessantly talking about what ever she want..

Her answer should have been:
"Due to the terms of the settlement I'm not allowed to talk about it"

Instead of the fake-victim drama queen routine she's copying from Palin.

exactly what question was over the top and hostile ?

If he had asked her 'What were you doing on this Tape ?' you might have a case.

She was ignorant and hesitant because she IS ignorant and hesitant and was just looking for any excuse to give he victimized routine and just picked that particular question.

Larry King nice 2 liberals but Christian
Carrie is too conservative for him! The Den'Wits pulled the same onesided, bias on Lady Sarah. Who do they think their fooling? We know better. Sarah not only is bright and right she has common sense, unlike the shallow President! Gibson questioned Palin, in a confusing manner, on the Bush doctrine, then the Palin haters twisted it so as to look bad for her! The leftist Gibson should have narrowed the options. Larry King doesn't deserve the
credit he gets. Often his non objectivity is
apparent and lacking in balance.

The Left is just as complicit in turning her into this discussion.

You think your s--t don't stink? We had that discussion yesterday.

And again, I noticed there were many other subjects posted, yet nothing more than A--hats from Rachel on some of them. And no-shows on others.

Mr. King is a creepy old piece of skin
Once, not so long ago, I was walking, shopping with my significant other near One Rodeo in Beverly Hills. At a street corner, in front of the Zegna Store, stood a pathetic little Mr. King.

Pathetic, because as he stood, he was glancing around at all pedestrians trying to catch the eye of anyone that might in truth recognize him. It was a "yes, yes, no no" moment for him.

Also, pathetic for his appearence. Garbed in black jeans, (BLACK JEANS) he appeared to be a crow with cancer. Tiny shouldred to the point of being papier mache thin and round shouldred to the point of being dowager humped, he seemed to be a man that never did any exercise in his life.

He detests religion even his own origins. He mocks and does that old pervert snicker everytime he's presented with the opportunity to enfranchise a guest for their faith.

I suspect, when he's dead, his family will write books that degrade his life. It'll be the 'Larry Dearest' collection.

I pity the women that have allowed him near their lives.

His professional life is best recalled by Mike Wallace's remark that Mr. King's inquiries are "soft ball." Not unlike his ethics and appearence.

Something like a quote:

Larry King:

"OK, Let's get to something that is embarassing to you."

Blatant liberal bias??? Probably not. It's more likely an old fella who struggles sometimes to maintain the appearance of tactfulness.

Sean Hannity is regularly more ham-fisted than this during interviews.

Early in his new, post-Colmes(sp) format he had a Democrat consultant who is and has been a regular on his show. But on one particular episode she was the lone liberal on his "Great, Great, Great All American Panel."

He hammered her ruthlessly and rudely. He allowed her to be ganged up on by himself and the two conservative panel members. It was unworthy of Fox News and made me angry.

And I agreed with the points he was making!

It was months before I watched another episode. I notice he is much better behaved now. But still, that was totally uncalled for.

That Democrat consultant (who is also a very attractive, blond woman) took the abuse and stood her ground. I didn't hear the first complaint from her. In fact, she is still a regular guest on Hannity's show.

But at least Hannity's rudeness was all about politics and policy - NOT personal attacks on his guest. But that's stil no excuse for his behavior.

Prejean is making a valid point about liberal bias and attacks against conservative women. But she has to realize that making that point invites more attacks. If she's going to stand up, she needs to STAND UP.

Then there's the possibility that she's playing the victim in order to get more publicity for her book. Perhaps walking out is an artful marketing ploy. If so, it's working.

Really? Show me a liberal site that has five - whoops, now we're up to SIX at Town Hall - separate stories about her.

Vladdie just hates these Prejean threads. Of course his name is all over on them. He touts that the liberal sites do not have these articles on her but notice it is here he hangs out to annoy the rest of us.

Of course I am sure we all noticed he took no time yesterday to write something to honor the vets. He claims to be the father of a marine you know.

Again. The MSM is part of this discussion for your theory. I'm glad you can count. And who knows, maybe you'll have to start using toes by the time TH gets done?

But AGAIN, the point is (for here), the LEFT spends the entire day and then some bouncing off what is written on the more superficial postings. When TH goes down the Gossip Mag route, the Libs are at home and in their comfort zone of intellect.

Hey, just bought some gum and saw once again Michelle made the cover of Glamour Mag. You know they rated her as the third most 'glamorous' woman in the world earlier this year. Explain that please?

God Save the Queen! We mean it man...(think Sex Pistols Punk Rock).

Oh, come on. EVERYBODY knows that Glamour is just a front for Workers United Against Bloodsucking Vampire Capitalists.

Did you buy a copy of Carrie's book with your gum?

"When TH goes down the Gossip Mag route, the Libs are at home and in their comfort zone of intellect."

Like the most recent thread on Afghanistan? Did you notice how the conservatives leaped to address my statements on the issues?

Wow, she's going down in flames
Right. She's a strong conservative woman who believes in biblical values.

Except for prancing around in a swimsuit. And getting a boob job. And posing topless. And playing with herself on film. And lying about how old she was when she made it, hoping to keep it off the internet. But other than that, she's a model of Christian Virtue....

Obviously, she doesn't want to talk about the settlement, which tells me that they threatened to show this tape, got her to settle for nothing, and now they are releasing it anyway.... BURN!
Tazzmax writes: Thursday, November, 12, 2009 11:02 PM
Good for Carrie,
she didn't fall into that old fossils' trap.

King is a sickening liberal pos. and I can't believe his tripe show is still alive.
