I am a man alright. Not only do I subscribe to the principles you put down--my standards for myself are higher than those I impose on others--but i meet more important standards of manhood as well.

MEN:
Men mind their own business, and expect others to do the same.
Men take responsibility for their own actions, and expect others to do the same.
Men respect the property of others, and expect others to do the same.
Men seek to be self-sufficient, and expect others to be the same.
Men deplore dependency of those with able body/mind, and expect others to deplore dependency of the able-bodied as well.
Men don't need govt beyond the prevention of anarchy in order to survive.
Men don't need or look to his neighbors to fulfill wants, needs, or happiness.
Pat Lib, you are no Man.
UNITERS:
If BO were a "uniter", instead of telling those who disagree to "sit down and shut up", he'd instead say,
"It's clear that some of our fellow citizens have disagreements with the plans being debated in Congress right now. It's important that we listen to their concerns and either educate them when there is a misunderstanding, and if there is a legitimate problem with the legislation, we should seek to rectify it. No piece of legislation is perfect, but if we listen to the voices of the American people, those who agree AND disagree, and we are all willing to bend a little, we can get a very good piece of healthcare reform passed this year."
Yeah, lofty platitudes that are ultimately meaningless, but it definately puts a "uniter" on the high road. BO is no more a "uniter" than Pat Lib is a "man".

Thanks.
Went out this evening to celebrate with family a reunion for the ages. They came in from Florida, New York, Hawaii, California, Nevada. I mention this only because I feel sorry for you having been stuck with the confused and meandering musings of a buffoon. Really, this yahoo is all over the place with her armchair chatter, amounting to nothing other than more projections of her own deficiencies in putting together cogent ideas---in tis case, hers are simply not germane to anything having to do with humans united to other humans----but then accuses you or me of being, "all over the place".
I could plainly read your impatience in all of this----yet you've proven to be so much more, well, civil to this unhealthy heap of steaming human poop. And, your civility is not a bit haughty in what it ultimately proves---ONCE AGAIN. And that is that humans are indeed "united" in loftier, much more substantive ways vis a vis these, "low" and "base" behavioral characteristics this two-bit lout efforted to sell-out for. Good for you, Julie. You've shared your lesson sublimely. Yours is simply the lesson by example, in the softest of tone, the gentlest of delivery.
You are better than me, to be certain. I've no patience with this lazy and very confused Liberal. |
Hope you have a great weekend, too.
I sincerely think that there's nothing better than a positive outlook to confront an enemy. A smile is always better than a frown. |
hm. okay. whatever. you're all over the map. is there a thread you can point to here, other than being random and silly?
you don't want to be compared to an alligator--you do want to be compared to an alligator.
We are a distinct species--don't bother me with talk about what makes us distinct.
yeesh. maybe you should join clarity picking through the poop. |
We are not discussing "Divine Intervention" here. We are discussing the morality of our leaders.
And I would prefer to fight an alligator than Obama. At least I would have a chance to succeed.
You can keep your "divine sparks" to yourself, thanks. |
Perhaps the base commonality we share with other species, as well as with each other, is the reason Adams made that observation (I guess the quote is that "education makes a greater difference between man and man than nature has made between man and beast").
I appreciate that we like to think of our humanity as vested with a divine spark, that we are separate from the others in the animal kingdom. But that thing which separates us from other animals--which i would call a moral capacity--also separates us from one another. You don't want unity with an alligator? I would prefer unity to an alligator than to Osama or Charles Manson. At least an alligator does what alligators do. But whether we are the image of God, noble savage, or killer ape, you and 'shrieker are drawing distinctions without a difference. (in 'shriekers case, with a good amount of dwaddling in the poo.)
The moral universe extends from the natural universe, and although only humans occupy the former, humans also occupy the latter. In the end, my clarity is derived from reductionism. To paraphrase Daniel Dennett, we crane up to moral knowledge--moral knowledge does not come from skyhooks. I respect your theology--but moral truth, which is the basis of civilization, has to be discerned from what is real. And that is why the Founders were so concerned with mathing out the natural rights of men, as opposed to the teachings in Scriptures and Biblical revelation. |

Julie,
Indeed, yours was a shorter, much CLEARER way in which to express the utter stupidity of Pathologic Liberal's comment we've chosen to spotlight.
This pathetic self-insistent yahoo writes, "what unites all human beings is eating, sleeping, pooping, peeing, sexing--base stuff. All humans do that.
YES----JULIE, most living things in the animal kingdom do share these very same behaviors. And right you are again. Does this "UNITE" a dumborat with an Emu? No, what a silly concept. What an utterly nonsensical bunch of horse hooey. Horses, now there's an interesting breed. Nothing unites humans of the dumborat variety with a horse neither. DONKEYS? Now there's a horse of a different color. Indeed, they are "united" there, but only in their stubborn ignorance.
What does "UNITE" all human beings is their ability to exercise, "free will". And this is not considered by any rational thinker as, "base" nor "low" in shared traits. Only humans possess "FREE WILL". It's the provenance of a higher being. To weigh the variables of an issue and subsequently decide on how to proceed is significant. Humans are "UNITED" on much loftier characteristics than simple animal behaviors.
Julie, have a great weekend. |
Very succinct interpretation! Pretty soon, no one will have any money left to send. |
Evidently Pat Lib has forgotten that all mammals and reptiles eat, sleep, poop, pee, and have sex.
I would hate to think that I am obligated to find unity with an alligator simply because it has some of the same biological functions as my own species. |
Just Shut -up and pay-up and don't talk about it
Shut Up and give me your money to pay for it.

You would not know "clarity" if it smacked you between the eyes.
Perhaps you should consider using different terms an descriptors. "Unite" simply does not adequately describe what you seem to want to say. Talk about self-insistence!?!
Humans share common characteristics, no one can dispute this. "Pooping", as you call it, is a commonly shared behavior among humans---yet, it certainly does not, "unite". Well, unless the two individuals are brought "closer" together in some deeper way over the quality of the "poop".
That said, there are EXCEPTIONS to every rule. For instance, it was promised by those campaigning and shilling for, Obama, that he would be, THE GREAT UNITER. Given that he has shovelled immense quantities of "POOP" upon the American public, and, given that your "POOP" is similar to that espoused by, "THE GREAT UNITER", I would have to agree that your ilk are "united" by this whole "POOPING" exercise.
"Birds of a feather, "POOP" together." |
what unites all human beings is eating, sleeping, pooping, peeing, sexing--base stuff. All humans do that. The divisions begin to occur at a moral level, and those things--which you mentioned--do not unite us. Rather, they point to the truth of what John Adams said about there being a greater difference between man and man than man and beast.
Drop your self-insistence. Listen to what i am saying. It is not far from what you are groping towards, albeit with greater clarity and organized thought. |
from a Pathologic Liberal, "i completely recognize that what unites us as human beings is low and base..."
Hardly, trogolodyte.
What "unites" us as human beings are cultures and civility. Without these environments, there is no, "uniting". Only gravitational forces leading to CHAOS, and retreat from mingling with those who are feared and represent danger to life and limb. Without culture, civil influences, there is only a survivalist nature. What "unites" us are common values. Those are the "uniting" threads which draw human to fellow human. Otherwise, humans prefer to go it largely alone. Oh yeah, humans are a social lot, but only when the conditions are such to foster such relational coexistence. |
oh please. i completely recognize that what unites us as human beings is low and base, and that it is culture that creates the higher orders of refinement and distinction. so? SO? that goes without saying.
but to rise above relativism, culture must be placed on a continuum. THAT's what the founders were shooting for. |
never understood that phrase, really. Presumably, we have all forgotten tons of information more than we retained.
now i really gotta leave. |
i did not re-read before posting. i'm a busy guy and these posts are in a transitory medium. we are not writing here for all time. so we post and move on. Those of us who have some clarity, who have organized and coherent thoughts, are at an advantage. but no one bats 1.000. and if there are fools who take the flyspecks--the typos or inartful phrasing or whatever--and act as they are indicative, well, they are more interested in "winning arguments" than finding the truth.
which is the problem. many of you clowns think--incorrectly, btw--that you have found the truth--Jesus, property rights, small government, whatever. You haven't. And I am here to tell you that you haven't. In fact, i am here to serve as a renunciation of these ultimate answers that you think you own, but which you do not.
but enough of my yapping. thank god for that eighth grade typing class. time to go. ciao. |
Next you drone,
"It is obvious that at the time of the Founding, they were reaching for a kind of universality--and the civic history of America is the history of that continued reaching."
It is "obvious" only to neocon and liberal ideologues like you who are devoid of such ammunition. And the "civic history" of America is the history of the unraveling of, not the fruition the Founders' vision. You live in an ideologue's dreamworld, son. |
about American political theory and history than you know. You write,
"Anglo-celts. puhleeze. You sound like a frigging cultural relativist. In the first place, there were Dutch and Germans here."
Duh. Being "there", doofus, does not afford them an *equal place in the founding of the nation.* As Howard Sutherland writes,
"(The Founding Fathers) were representatives of the propertied class of Great Britain's former North American colonies. The vast majority were members of families already long established in America, many for over 150 years by the time of the Constitutional Convention. They were overwhelmingly of British descent, the substantial majority of English descent. The very few delegates who were not American born were all British born. The colonies-become-states whence they came were English settlements, already long enough established to have given rise to a distinct (Anglo-)American people: the people who fought for and, with French help, won independence for the thirteen colonies. The United States that they formed of their newly independent states was thoroughly English in culture, law, tradition and religion. In scholarly invocations of natural law and assorted Enlightenment philosophers, the most important influence on the Constitution (and the Declaration of Independence) tends to get lost. The Founders’ understanding of law and its application to free men owed more to the English Common Law, as it had developed by their day and as they applied it in America, than to any other source." |
I remember a guy telling me once that the gratifying rush which comes with feeling superior is at the heart of what motivates men. I don't entirely believe that, but i do think it is Cicero's motivation.
There is no doubt that i come off as arrogant. Certainly i am saying things that other people don't say much--even, perhaps especially, on the left side of the spectrum. Cicero's problem is that he confuses the latter with the former--my uniqueness with my conceit. But the confusion is derived from a moral laziness on his part. He prefers to feel superior and just leaves it at that.
It does not bother me when guys feel superior to me. In the first place, i understand that men are not equal, really, and in the second, what do i care? to paraphrase TJ, it neither breaks my leg nor picks my pocket.
But I encourage everyone who reads these posts--not that we are going to find "an objective stranger" in these parts--to note when an argument is met and when it is simply dismissed. And when an argument is simply dismissed, however airily, however impressive the certitude with which it is dismissed, it is still there. It may not seem like it. You may not hear it over the snickering and high-fiving. But it is there. And it may be truth. And it may be reality. And, therefore, it may turn you into a fool one day.
And that, in the end, is the final test. Are we men? or are we fools? We have this capacity for knowledge, for wisdom, that separates us from the animals and brings us to God Himself. But if in our souls we are fools, then our lives have been a waste. |
Anglo-celts. puhleeze. You sound like a frigging cultural relativist. In the first place, there were Dutch and Germans here. And it goes without saying that Spaniards and French were on the periphery. Many historians have noted the extent to which the frontiersmen actually adapted NATIVE ways and habits.
To be sure, the colonists thought of themselves as Englishmen and derived their assumptions from English life. To be sure, they were, like all men, products of their time. So? It is obvious that at the time of the Founding, they were reaching for a kind of universality--and the civic history of America is the history of that continued reaching.
Your dingbat posts speak for themselves. Copying what i post and mocking it does not make an argument. The one argument you did make--that our country has English roots--is innocuous and unimportant to the point of being embarrassing. I mean, seriously, son, bring up your game. Your poses and preening--as though you own some knowledge--is beginning to appear pretty hollow. Initially i thought, with your level of certitude, that you might know a thing or two. Now i know you are just one of those guys who strain at gnats as if they are earthshaking distinctions (oooh look, the Founders were constrained by their historic circumstances). go take a shower, bum. |

"Stop me if I am wrong."
I just did. Twice. And we'll be stopping you most of the time, Pathetic, because you're wrong most of the time.
"These "ideas"--precepts that lead us to defend government by the consent of the people, the right to speak, and write, and worship, and own property--change somewhat over the decades and centuries. But our persepctive that nature endows us, as men, with inalienable responsibilities and rights, has not changed."
Ah yes, "change." But therein lies the rub. We all see what liberals mean by "change."
"To be a conservative in our country is to take a more traditional view of the natural rights of men--to have a more traditional view, frankly, of liberalism. To be a liberal, in contrast, is to value our capacity to build upon moral experience."
"Build on moral experience" meaning "moral relativism" or "destroying traditional mores", of course. Pathetic believes in gay "marriage", a sterling example of what I mean.
"so, chump, back to your sarcasm masquerading as irony..."
At some point I likely will, "chumP', but not because I need to. You're so absolutely dense, that you're a caricature of yourself. And if that weren't bad enough, some of us are starting to feel embarrassed for you.
Y'all, carry on. I'm done with this bozo for at least the remainder of the weekend.
See you up top, Pathetic. |

The Very Pathetic Liberal once again make the mistake of betraying his ignorance:
"in this country, conservatism is centered upon our natural rights heritage. American conservatives tend to quote Paine, not Burke (although Burke is the better man)."
Of course, this is a gross oversimplification. American conservatism, which is quite different than Canadian or European conservatism, is informed by the like of both Burke and Paine. And while Burke may be more the anti-revolutionary, he still, with Paine, favored the cause of the American revolutionaries.
"Unique among nations, the United States was not formed around race, religion, or language. It was formed around ideas concerning the moral universe."
Wrong again. This is the "proposition nation" hooey spouted by both liberal and neocon, but it again does not comport with the facts. Our nation was formed by Protestant-leaning Anglo-Celts who relied largely on English culture and legal tradition, and who were conspicuously racial in many of their statements. Not only did the revolutionary generation not abolish slavery, it subjugated the Native American, and was very stringent in its policies towards immigrants. These men would have abhorred the concept of multiculturalism. |

To all you rednecks out there: don't pretend you're something you're not. Just join the Ku Klux Klan outright, and go to these teabag events and healthcare forums with your white hoods on. Show people who you really are and what you believe.
Shout out at these meetings that Obama is a Nazi. That his childhood was spent developing ways to overthrow the U.S. Tell the world that his mother traveled to Kenya to give birth to him, even though B.O. Sr. AND her mother and father were in Hawaii (Gee - makes perfect sense to me!) Call Obama the "N" word -- out loud -- because face it, that's what you really think and that's what this is all about.
C'mon say it out loud and get it on video! Don't hide in these weirdo websites - show the world just how intelligent and rational you are!!! Go the meetings and SHOUT IT OUT. We're all waiting.... |

"The policy of the American government is to leave their citizens free, neither restraining nor aiding them in their pursuits." Thomas Jefferson
The policy of Obummer's version of government is to usurp the liberties enjoyed by Americans throughout their history, taking ever more control of every facet of their pathetic little lives. It's his Alinsky, er, God given right to do as much. Just ask him.
Please allow me to answer that question of yours.
Because there are no principled peole on the Left. They have long been noted for their dedication to dissent----when it suits their own purposes.
Hillary Clinton just recently stated, "Dissent is the highest form of patriotism", unless of course one is that version of patriot borne by present Liberalism.
Obummer himself said just this year, "argue with your neighbors and get in their face" It's classic Saul Alinsky training for Leftists and Liberals. Just not, as believed by them, intended for use by anyone NOT subscribing to their ideologies.
Simply put-----there is NO principled stance in anything proffered by these superficial little narcissists. |
kg: there's a difference between serious and self-serious which you folks are. don't want another post from the likes of Maine Con or Cicero or someone, yammering excitedly about contradictions and gleefully yelping "you can't make this up" or some such stupidity.
eugene: sorry. teabagger it is. don't be a big softie, now. like i said, the insult writes itself. come up with your own insults. either that, or stop aligning yourself to a proud American moment (no taxation without representation) that has very little to do with your efforts to gin up anger and shout down those you disagree with.
that's it for now. gotta run. thanks, all. |
Oh please. I can take it just fine. I knock around all you dopes with one hand tied behind my back. And i even listen to your perspective while I am at it. I am tough as nails, which sends you guys into jags of whining and whimpering sarcasm.
you know, i have said before, being conservative does not mean you are heartless, and being liberal does not mean you are a p+ssy.
examples? Palin was talking about death panels being set up by Obamacare. Some oldsters believe that Medicare will be taken away. They even believe that Medicare comes from some place other than the government. There is the disinformation that the public option amounts to socialized medicine rather than an attempt to get private underwriters to sharpen their pencils and provide some frigging value. Socialized medicine, btw, is like what they have in England, where Doctors and Nurses and whatnot are employees of the state. Single-payer, much less a public option, is not socialized.
Andrew Sullivan showed a nice quote at his site from a Canadian who said that we are seeing the two sides of the American character this week. Those two Korean-American women, surrounded by their families, saying sweet and insightful things. That's the Democrats. And terrified, shouting townhallers, trying to squelch the speech of others with their noise. That's the Republicans. The past was yours. The future is ours. |

He admitted to the incident which was reported by the media, at the time of the 2000 election, as if it had happened three days earlier. In fact, it was 25 years earlier and the media was stuck on this story for months during the fall of 1999.
Prior to the election that year Bush said,
"I'm not proud of that. I made some mistakes. I occasionally drank too much, and I did that night. I learned my lesson." Bush said he was not jailed after the arrest. "I told the guy (the arresting officer) I had been drinking, what do I need to do? He said, 'here's the fine.' I paid the fine."
The press made no effort to play up Obummer's use of illegal drugs the way in which they lambasted Bush over his alcohol use of 25 years earlier.
it is nice to have a President who acknowledged his coke use. It is hilarious when you folks cluck cluck about that stuff. I guess you prefer your candidates lying to you. Playing cat-and-mouse with their past. THAT is better. yeesh.
I remember the campaign against good ol' Al Franken. You self-serious dunderheads were digging into his comedy past to show he was not fit for public life. "Look, the man told a dirty joke. ack."
Get serious. Seriously. Get serious. I know you can do it. You owe America better. |
You just lose yourself in that 24 hour newscycle, with your polling numbers and whatnot. I have no problem with you immersing yourself in media frenzy. In the end, that stuff is just breathless heat, designed to capture eyeballs. If you want to be sucked into that stupid narrative, have at it.
Hey, i understand a couple major league terrorists have been killed in the last few days. Maybe we'll get Osama soon. Let's hope. Nice to have the war on terrorism run by grownups.
Economic fundamentals are improving. Always the concern there is a double-dip in the offing, but that stock market is the best leading indicator around.
There are people who pathologically hate the President. Every President has people who pathologically hate them. Americans are pretty good about tuning that nonsense out. Are they worried about healthcare? Sure. Are they worried about the economy? absolutely. Do they think you clowns have the answers? hell no! |
I think we have had this conversation already. I am appalled by the likes of Peta and their bullying tactics. When Ann Coulter had a pie shoved at her, i was furious. I hate when speakers are shouted down and worse at college campuses. It is an appalling display of civic degeneration and for the longest time, it came primarily from the left.
I know this. I am a principled man. My standards are applied evenly, without regard to faith or creed. Now...when are you going to stop using the evil of your enemies to rationalize your own evils. I don't do that. You apparently do. |
What the heck are you talking about? No one has made my life miserable. My life has been quite happy.
It is not nice to call someone a teabagger. I don't call you names. Why do you feel the need to insult me? |
No problem, thanks for your kind response!
It's doubtful I'll ever travel to D.C., but I'll have a beer in your honor while cooking on the grill this weekend. |
What a tool this guy is. And he awkwardly awakened the sleeping giant.
The old blue hairs just aren't gonna go for a massive health care barackracy.
Did I mention this president is a tool. How out of touch do you have to be not to have seen this one coming.
Now we begin to see the fallout from his lack of experience. No grace under pressure, demonizing anyone who disagrees with you. It's the Chicago way.
Bone thugs in disharmony.
Imagine that. He's got his knickers in a wad cuz we're organizing our community. Go figure.

So sorry I guess I read one too many troll posts.LOL Meet me in D.C. on 9/12 and I will buy you a beer to make up for my mistake. That seems to be the popular method. |

I think Obama has no problem with the fact that he has pulled off the most egregious hoax in history. He's laughing about it.
Once a trickster gets away with fooling people, he will continue to do it over and over again, until he gets caught. |
I was not defending anyone. I was pointing out that our supposed Commander in Chief is spending more time trying to fool the public than being a leader.
Please don't call me a "tool".
And yes, you are right, "fishy" is the right word. I sent several emails to flag@whitehouse.gov, reporting myself for fishy activities. |
The coke caused brain damage? Sumptin's not right with his guy.
Somebody needs to catalogue all his "bone-headed" remarks. The news that Eunice Schriver, founder of the Special Olympics, is gravely ill made me think of that comment made by BHO, comparing him bowling ability to the "special olympics."
Remember that one?
I believe he's a classic megalomaniac: delusions of grandeur, unassailable ego, a feeling of invincibility, cunning, w/o conscience. In a way he IS like Hitler. The German people virtually worshipped Hitler and his absurd promises until they discovered that he gradiosity was simply madness. |
Are you sure he's still not snorting coke? or whatever you call it these druggies do. Remember that giggly interview he had a few months ago that stunned the interviewer?
Who the H... is he to tell us to SHUT UP.. he's on the verge of a meltdown and Lord knows what he will be capable of doing then. |
It's always sneaky language as far as Obama goes,or could it be fishy language? His goons have put their hands on several citizens and you tools keep blindly defending him.Too stupid to see that the old hippies have become the establishment and the youth have embraced authority. The world has turned upside down.Time to take it back! 9/12D.C.Be there! |
"Sorry, but we righters don't tend to the dramatics, intimidation and attacks the Left consistently employs. We have more principle than that."
Did you manage to type that with a straight face? |
He's reassuring himself when he says that because he knows he's ineligible. He still can't believe he pulled off the worlds biggest bluff. |
Obama did not tell conservatives to shut up. He told the "folks" responsible for the "mess" to shut up.
He vaguely implied that these "folks" are his political enemies, when in fact, the responsible parties are mainly on his side of the table. So maybe he's telling everyone to shut up!
He is very good at making people angry. It doesn't help when he says things like, "I'm the President." Like we didn't know that already. |
The audacity of the fool who 'wants to be' King; Lord and master over our lives and our souls as he attempts to steal our God Given rights with his band of gestapo thugs. Kiss my lily white -a s s- mr. Obama!! Nothing you say affects me because in my opinion, you aren't even eligible to be saying it! YOu don't deserve to be denegrating our white house and our Constitution, and I can not wait until you and your America hating wife are thrown out on your big ear.
Well what is HE -ugh! going to do if we don't shut up? He has sent out emails ont the subject of the pesky Americans who want to stay informend and be able to express their opinion, he is asking neighbors to snitch on each other, so what's next - will he send his brown shirts out to make sure we shut up? That might be a vewy, vewy big mistake, Obama! Americans are sick of you and you gestapo tactics and we are getting sicker by the day. We are going to push back, so you might want to watch YOURself. |

For starters, good old Ted Kennedy himself who mandated HMOs way back when. And then there was Jimmy Carter and his Community Reinvestment Act and affirmative action lending. Despite warnings from Pubs Clinton pushed for even more risky loans.
Lenders who refused found themselves labeled as racists. Congress gave Fannie and Freddie to go ahead by buying up the bad loans.
Along comes Barack Obama, lawyer for ACORN, breaking knee caps for force lenders to make bad loans. And then there was Barack's friend Franklin Rains hauling off with beaucoup bucks outta F&F.
Bush was concerned and tried to get into it, but was told by Maxine Waters and the Black Causcus that everything was OK. And then there's Barney Frank and Chris Dodd.

..but BO got elected on wishful thinking. Having NO record or resume, he was a blank slate and dopes with hopes could project any dang supernatural powers on the smart, clean, articulate, young man they wanted.
People voted for a chimera*, a ghost. One of those holografts things in the Disneyland Haunted House.
*2 : an illusion or fabrication of the mind; especially : an unrealizable dream.
That the emperor has no clothes is becoming increasingly evident--man boobs and all. Yuck!
BTW: How can a skinny guy have man-boobs? Nothing is as it was made to appear.
You mean, like the lefty nuts who pied Ann Coulter (and other conservative speakers)? Or who chased Tom Tancredo off the stage at Columbia, but listened raptly to the Iranian dictator? The PETA nuts who throw red paint/blood all over fur-wearing rich women instead of leather-clad bikers?
Sorry, but we righters don't tend to the dramatics, intimidation and attacks the Left consistently employs. We have more principle than that. |
if you're "amused," it is merely the cackling of fools. nothing of substance, that's for sure.
now, why don't you run out and use your right to assemble to snuff the right of others to speak. That's about your speed. |
no fool. we worship neither. we act like men and not simpering little drama queens, which means we take ownership for our institutions. |
your fear really DOES show, weakling..
in this country, conservatism is centered upon our natural rights heritage. American conservatives tend to quote Paine, not Burke (although Burke is the better man). Unique among nations, the United States was not formed around race, religion, or language. It was formed around ideas concerning the moral universe. Stop me if I am wrong. These "ideas"--precepts that lead us to defend government by the consent of the people, the right to speak, and write, and worship, and own property--change somewhat over the decades and centuries. But our persepctive that nature endows us, as men, with inalienable responsibilities and rights, has not changed.
To be a conservative in our country is to take a more traditional view of the natural rights of men--to have a more traditional view, frankly, of liberalism. To be a liberal, in contrast, is to value our capacity to build upon moral experience.
it is not rocket science. No one has to gather around. Pretty boiler-plate stuff, except to a generation of radicals who have hijacked "conservatism" and driven it over a cliff with their utopian nihilism.
so, chump, back to your sarcasm masquerading as irony.. |
and anarchy of government perception. Hmm. Which means we should not worship free markets and should be worshipful of government. Ah, got it, Communism. Thought you sounded familiar. |
What an arrogant a$$. This kind of guy destroys himself.
100% of the time.
Watch and see. |
"like they say, sarcasm is an instrument of the weak."
Yes, oh Strong One. No more will I consider sarcasm merely the natural response of the amused. |
We do not understand; he understands.
Only he can show us the way to conservatism. Which is really liberalism.
Please, brethren, let us leave this room in reverent, humble silence, and contemplate all evening something we should have known, but he did:
"It cracks me up when you 'conservatives' invoke a history you do not know to defend a heritage that you do not understand." |
Matt Lewis just put up a post to remind us that this is the anniversary of of old tricky D*ck's resignation speech. I think this is important to note for two reasons:
1. I remember at the time how everybody was convinced that Republicans and the conservative movement was over and done for. Ten years later Reagan arrived on the scene. I recall similar prognostications in 1992 and 1960. The Republicans are done for! Booga Booga!
2. Obama is only 200 days into his term; any wild declaration of destruction of the DNC is also wishful thinking at best, and at worst the kind of "comfort food" mantra that some people need to sheild their weakened minds from the harshness of the current political landscape. The sky has always been falling for these people andAmerica has been on a constant decline for past forty of so years. Some have been in freefall since the late fifties because even then this wsn't the country "your parents grew up in."
You might want to think about how long people have been saying that.
You are living in the "future."
like they say, sarcasm is an instrument of the weak. But vonexpress is wagging his tail, so you have yourself a follower. |
are you kidding? ever read any of FDR's speeches? and Truman was even worse. Nixon and Reagan also made a cottage industry out of bagging on their countrymen. And those are merely contemporary Presidents. It cracks me up when you "conservatives" invoke a history you do not know to defend a heritage that you do not understand. |
i think i see your point. And i don't disagree with it, actually. Frank and Dodd are part of the problem. In the deepest sense, we are all part of the problem. But specifically, Frank and Dodd are accountable in ways that most people are not.
That said, the bigger reason for the near economic collapse was not Frank, not Dodd, not Fannie nor Freddie, not the Democratic congress of 2007, but some wrong-headed assumptions that have misled an entire generation--many of which were kind of utopian in their theology of free-markets and anarchistic in their perception of government. We turned civil society over to the appetites of men and it bit us in the backside. We need a kind of moral renewel, and that is a civic process, more than anything. the market, with its consumerist ethos, is bad news when it is unbridled and untamed. It is great for creating wealth. Too bad wealth creation is not the only thing we human beings have to worry about. |
Whatever you say bub.
I knew that BO was a radical Leftist from the moment I heard about his associations and read extended excerpts from his books. And I know enough radical Leftists to know that they ultimately lash out when challenged. And so it is with BO, and I predict that his rhetoric will get more virulent in the coming weeks and months.
In my lifetime, NO president has spoken this way. NO president has actually SOUGHT to divide the country. The current Democrat leadership is destroying the party, and I couldn't be happier. And it's only been 6.5 months!
And even better, Democrats drew first blood. I LOVE IT!!!
Pathological? Maybe. So?
Critical mass. |
That makes it all very clear now. |
In contradicting the truth re: subsidies and taxes, Perpatetic Liberal is actually expressing a great cosmic truth. See, all dualities and opposities are united in the Ineffable One, such that a tax can be a subsidy and a subsidy a tax, a square a circle and a circle a square, and so forth. You mental worm; do you not realize that the Peripatetic knows you but you do not know him? He is one of the ones we've been waiting for. So try to show a little respect and humility.
You lout. |
like Vonexpress over there. Have fun with the likes of him. I ain't looking for someone to look at me with wide eyes and bushy tail, but since you obviously are, why don't you give that dope a try? Maybe he'll follow you into the streets. |
let me spell it out for you, idiot: we were talking about what directly creates wealth (business) and what must be supported (government).
and while i'm at it, don't appreciate being called a plagiarizer. i think you did that before, only to catch my verbal fist in your face for your misunderstanding.
i am a grown-up. i respect property. i respect the ideas of others. sit down, son. |
Don't waste effort on this puerile individual.
On the Bandes post above, he equated a subsidy with a tax, stating they were the same.
When he's not plagiarizing, he's showing why he should be.
----------------- Patriotic Liberal "This is true. government do not produce widgets or anything else of immediate and tangible value. It relies upon subsidies, i.e. taxes. And in the absence of such wealth creation, subsidies vanish." ------------ vonryansexpress Oh my Lord ... I just read that a subsidy is the same as a tax.
Note to imbecile, a "subsidy" is an assistance.
A "tax" is a fee or a charge.
They are the opposite of the other.
readers around here are objective? these are the foaming tea-baggers who think shouting down speakers and waving guns in the streets is legit heritage. These are the morons who excuse their own evils on grounds the evils of their enemies are worse. That is "objective"? show me a man of genuine principle, seriousness, and sensibility, and i'll show you a man who thinks you missed by a mile.
like i said before, though. you invoke the guys in here? let them be your destiny, then. they are what you deserve. |
oh spare me the sarcastic stuff. it just conceals your fear and nonsense. My humility is obvious to objective readers, if not conceited little creeps who care more about their hustle than the truth. |
Ah, the Master finally blesses us with Holy Variation!
But you are right, Holy Father. I am but an impressionist. But sometimes impressionism catches the essence of a thing.
Bonehead. |
You're missing the point. Bho wants the MessMakers to get out of the way. Barney and Dodd are MessMakers that are in the way.
Barney wants to loosen things up again? He sent a letter to Freddie and Fannie telling them to just a short while ago.
BHO was part of Congress. That would make him complicate in being a "Bad Actor." And the fact that he is running the WH with a bunch of Clinton retreads diminishes his promise of a "new order" in DC.
He really is just another Politician. Nothing more. Actually He is a bad actor in this video clip too. I will give him a Rasberry Award for his nervous display.
"I am always willing to commit myself to the hands of the objective reader."
Which is why you have a reputation for being a moron. You just won't shut up, and objective readers can't come to any other conclusion. |
Dearest Pat Lib says: "Bea: um, darling? you ain't 52% of the people. He was clearly addressing a toxic cadre of Reep creep leaders--not some number from some poll take at some time."
Bea says: Pat Lib, darling? You apparently haven't been paying attention to the polls. It "ain't me that he was clearly addressing.
Predominantly, 52% (and growing) of the American populous (all political genres: Conservatives, Democrats, Independents, et al) DO NOT want his proposed "SELECTIVE HC Plan" that even Lanny Davis (Attorney) and/or John Conyers (Attorney, 44 year Congressman) cannot specifically interpret.
Sooo, please pay attention, "DARLING". This has nothing to do with ideology. It has everything to do with "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness".
FREEDOM, FREEDOM, FREEDOM. We are all Americans regardless of our ideological leanings. This is the most wonderful Country in the world and we are teetering on the precipice of losing it: currently, 52% of Americans recognize this fact, Darling!!!!
the mere fact you think you're close shows what a self-important lout you are.. |
I mean, "peripatetic", please drone on, uhh, I mean show forth the way of your wisdom. You bless with your words:
"is neither Harvery Milk nor progress and evolution. But it does have to do with the Jesus of history, as opposed to the Christ of faith. You can park yourself in the latter. Why not? It beats adhering to a discipline of knowledge."
Oh, Master, beat me! Beat me more with the verbiage of your Holy Rebuke! I so desire to emulate your "discipline of knowledge". For you have show -- YOU know!
"With your "faith" (beliefs, actually), you can be lazy and disdainful and even be a rabble-rouser, if you want. And so you are. There is no center. There is no core. There is no principle. And it is all the more appalling, as you--and people like you--tout yourselves as having these things. It is just the emotion of cheering for those like you and booing for those unlike you. Weak.."
Humbly I repent in sackcloth and ashes.
Creep. |
I am always willing to commit myself to the hands of the objective reader. |
We'll let objective readers decide. |

let the CROOKED BOdems know what you think of them, then quietly go back to your Grand Jury and INDICT the CROOKS!
Our Founding Fathers gave We the People the Fourth Branch of Government, the Citizens Grand Jury, in Our Bill of Rights. These 12 Simple Steps are the way for Patriots to keep control of the Government:
12 Simple Steps to Clean up Corruption in Washington:
1) Advertise and Promote the Fact that you are forming a Grand Jury in Blogs, Local Newspapers and Community Organizations. 2) Form the Grand Jury and select a Foreman. 3) Select a Private Attorney General to make Presentments to Grand Jury, if local DA refuses to make presentments. 4) Select a convenient Meeting Place. 5) Communicate with all Citizens who have criminal information to present. 6) Schedule presentments by said Citizens. 7) Subpoena documents from Government Offices and Officials. 8) Schedule presentment of said Documents to Grand Jury by Grand Jury Attorney General. 9. Have Grand Jury Attorney General present said Documents to Grand Jury. 10) After investigation and deliberation is completed, vote and issue a True Bill (Indictment) or No True Bill. 11 Announce all Indictments to the Press. 12) Serve the Indictment on the Judiciary for the Issuance of Arrest Warrants.

that both, "left and right" push and shove, "not right that either do". Clever but untrue. When and where have the right "Pushed and shoved"? This whole thing is about to blow up, rallying the "union thugs", into brown shirted union thugs, is asking for trouble. Pitting American citizens against others, is hardly a way to win the debate. Most, now know, what this power grab entails, and they are foursquare against it. No one wants their mother or father to be told that they are just too old, "your not worth it, take a pain pill, and DIE". If you leftists think your gonna' get that, you are far more delusional than you normally are! You are on a path to political suicide, and please stay on it!! |
that's actually pretty funny. missed by a mile, but funny even so.. |
Careful....you keep talking like that the libs will want to worship you..... |
Yeah, I am, punk. What are you gonna do about it, clown?
(But forgive me; I am merely setting forth the Inscrutable Way of the Ground of All Being, showing you all that while I understand you, you will never understand me, for I inhabit the heavenlies and you do not. You Christianists must come to "grok", as I have, the mystical synthesis of Patriotism and Liberalism and Christianity - though there are no Christians - and learn that the True Way of Jesus is really the way of progress and evolution, and that to be an *American* is the sine qua non of true enlightenment, which enlightenment allows a Patriot like me to be one with Jesus and one with Harvey Milk at the same time, transcending the dogma of Paul (Ron and of Tarsus), at which point one comes into the ineffable realm of the "mysterium tremens". You know not yourselves or me; I know me and you. I am he As you are he As you are me And we are all together.
Clowns. |
That is great, I love to watch the little ones play ball, when all of the grandkids get together here we almost have enough for a whole team. |
I see what you mean about his body language. There is a certain coldness, a sense of desperation. |
Obama in the Senate supporting his friend's failed policies at Fannie/Freddie?
Wasn't it Obama at the Bush table supporting the $700B TARP chaos?
Wasn't it Obama that shoved through an obscene debt load called "stimulus".
Gee, tell me again: who's fault is it?
Thought he was going to be the post-partisan prez? Oh, yet, another campaign promise broken.
He's a l i a r.
Does this post qualify for the fishy/Gestapo website? |
Just watched it again...He is having hard time with his own rhetoric. It shows in his body language. |
Dodd and Frank are at the periphery. This collapse was something mega and secular. It arose out of misguided worldview, not any particular bad actors. |
getting carried away in your pathologies, eh? well, emotion is what you clowns are all about anyhow. shouldn't be surprised.. |
thug was talkin' too. This effeminate punk, wouldn't talk like that if it was just "him". Sending out an SOS, to the union thugs, to intimidate average, ordinary American citizens, who voice their opposition to the "dear leader's" attempted takeover of their health care, is what you would expect from the leader of the girl party. The implosion has began, and with each passing day, as more and more citizens find out what obama is trying to do, he becomes more unhinged. Anytime you hear a leftist invoke terms like "swastikas, Nazis, or jack booted", know this, they are in very serious trouble, and are losing the argument. And they are losing this argument, big time! If they carry through, with this jam down, they will lose congress in 10', and they won't be able to sully the White House again, for 3 decades.
And, more bad news for the Chicago thug, the top 3 cars purchased so far this year, SUV'S and crossovers. |
They pooped all over the housing sector. In the words of a movie line; You think your Sh-- don't stink? Barney's famous words about rolling the dice...Those are your "adults" Pat Lib.
Everyday, the local stations play that commercial to ReFi your house. It opens with BHO's speech; Millions of American People...nobody was watching the "predatory loan industry"...
And who's responsibilty was that? Congress! That was the job BHO used to have? Nice work. |
Now we have seen it all huh? I never thought I'd see the day either that the POTUS tells us to shut our collective mouths and let him further ruin the country.
I think all that coke he did in college ruined his brain. |
hahahaha! So true!
And like the media tried to hide the FDR was wheelchair bound, they now try to make it look like Obama doesn't throw like a kid in kindergarten.
My son throws more straight than this guy and he's 18 months old. (Seriously...you should see him. He has a mean fastball for a toddler! haha) |
Are the "folks who created the mess" the tens of millions of regular people who voted for Bush? Or those people who would express a view that differs from his?
I have a hard time believing that even Obama would be so divisive, patronizing, and arrogant to mean that. But that certainly is what it sounds like.
He is able to reach across the aisle just far enough to slap people around. It is shameless. |
YES YES YES!
Union thugs bustin' heads.
YES YES YES!
The democrat party is exploding before our eyes!
YES YES YES!
Critical mass. And sooner than I thought. heh heh heh |
you have to admit, the teabagger insult just kind of presents itself.
insults are fine. saying your piece is fine. shouting down others? not fine. pushing and shoving and worse? not fine. I don't care who is doing it--left or right. not fine. |
LOL? what are you, a ninth grader? |
Calling fellow Americans "teabaggers" a term I had to look up, shut down the liberal rhetoric...
Furthermore, only liberals could come up with a sexually derogatory term to describe those with whom they disagree.
The president is to represent all of the people. The republican representatives were elected by the people and those peoples voices deserve to be heard. As the tide turns and his polls numbers go down many of his democratic buddies will turn on the president to save themselves. These words will come back to haunt him. |
[[insults are not especially my forte. My specialty is more along the lines of rational and principled thought. I just deliver insults because the boobs in here have a problem with rationality and principle.
Which is why they are "taking to the streets." yeesh. what a bunch of dopes.]]
LOL! Do you even read what you write before you post it!? |
um, darling? you ain't 52% of the people. He was clearly addressing a toxic cadre of Reep creep leaders--not some number from some poll take at some time. |
absolutely not. I am not alright with that. It is called principle. try it some time, instead of only applying it to your own team.. |
i'll just have to risk boring you, i guess. insults are not especially my forte. My specialty is more along the lines of rational and principled thought. I just deliver insults because the boobs in here have a problem with rationality and principle.
Which is why they are "taking to the streets." yeesh. what a bunch of dopes. |
not sure if we want obama throwing anything, last time there was all that throws like agirl stuff. |
Are you OK with this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kxaGfClPws
The man in the torn green button-down shirt is a Stage 4 cancer patient. His wife called in to Rush's show this morning, upset and angry that her husband was treated so roughly, and what she said is backed by the video.
So, you're all right with that, then? These thugs represent YOUR guy, you know. HE sent them out, telling them to push back twice as hard against anyone who dared to question, much less protest, his takeover of the medical field.
I thought your side thought that dissent is the highest form of patriotism.
Well?
Now he is telling 52% of the people to "SHUT UP": what arrogance.
I never, ever heard of any POTUS telling a priority portion of the US populous to "SHUT UP"! |
The economy was sailing along pretty well until January of 2007. At that point in time Democrats took over the control of both houses of Congress. From that time on, Democrats have refused to listen to other points of view. They further have held closed door meetings in which Republicans were refused entry. The economy, at that point, began a downhill slide and has been steadily going downhill since. Obama was one of those Democrats who refused to listen to Republican's ideas. He was one of the Democrats and is still telling you how bad things are and that it is the fault of those who were before him. He is, in fact, one of those that were before him. He has inherited his own mess, not the mess of the former president. |
I'd pay good money to see him throw a tantrum.
Of course I'd want the money to go to the troops though. |
The only mob activity, thuggery and subversion of free speech and expression going on against "honest" American patriots is unfortunately within the current administration headed by a president who is purposely and arrogantly determined to implement his legacy of marxist ideology by way of socialist fanatacism under the guise of "community organization" for the good of all..His phenomenal and swift actions and intentions in contravening constitutional law and the rights contained therein - in order to enforce his personal ideology and political objectives remains all too evident by his continued encouragement of his ever dwindling number of "followers" to flood town hall meetings in order to "shut up", intimidate and harass those law abiding citizens who have a legitimate right to question, disagree with and oppose the president's plans not only for government control of American's health care and health insurance, but also what appears to be his - and his minions' - plans for the slow dimantling of other areas of American freedoms vital to our right to self determination of our own welfare, prosperity and best interests, |
bk don't be a fool. Our Republic has become a Presidential syst ___________________________________________
You fail civics class? I know that you may want the President to have more powers and influence than he does but that little thing called the Constitution keeps getting in the way:
Article I of the Constitution sets forth most of the powers of Congress, which include numerous explicit powers enumerated in Section 8. Constitutional amendments have granted Congress additional powers. Congress also has implied powers derived from the Necessary and Proper Clause of the Constitution.
Congress has authority over financial and budgetary matters, through the enumerated power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States. The Sixteenth Amendment extended power of taxation to include income taxes.[7] The Constitution also grants Congress exclusively the power to appropriate funds. This power of the purse is one of Congress' primary checks on the executive branch.[7] Other powers granted to Congress include the authority to borrow money on the credit of the United States, regulate commerce with foreign nations and among the states, and coin money.
Trying to blame the party in power only works when that party actually has the party. Now the Dems own it and have owned it since 2007. |
1.) Chris Dodd 2.) Barney Frank
Both of these indviduals contributed more to the present mortgage crisis than anyone else, other than the previously noted, "greedy lenders". Fannie Mae (CEO-Franklin Raines)and Freddie Mac were hugely complicit and the aforementioned men were at the forefront.
Bill Clinton's 1998 modification of the law (Community Reinvestment Act) that Jimmy Carter wrote in 1978. This policy set in motion the restrictions banks were held to in loaning to HIGH RISK borrowers. The warnings were there. Here is simply one written in the Winter of 2000: http://www.city-journal.org/html/10_1_the_trillion_dollar.h tml |

Obama is a disgrace to the white, AND black communities. Obama is an embarassment, and a heavy handed goon who would like to be able to 'dictate' policy to the hoards - as Hitler did. I got news for him, Hitler was 'then' this is 'now'. His reign of smug, in yor face terror tactics will not be tolerated by Americans for much longer, and he WILL rue the day he ever swaggered into OUR white house. He does not belong there, and a revolution is needed to make sure he does not stay there. |
....is starting to resemble "Tommy."
Obama is Tommy, of course, Hillary would be the one befuddled as a "pinball wizard" takes her rightful (in her mind) place on the throne.
PL is the demented pervert Uncle Ernie, and Val is the Acid Queen.
In case you haven't seen it, those who worship Tommy as the pinball wizard everntually turn on him and destroy him before moving on the the next new thing.
This is the danger of putting a rock star in the White House.....he has no margin for error. He is expected to be perfect, and when he is (in this case quickly) revealed as fallible, his own disciples crucify him....
You watch..... |
don't be a fool. Our Republic has become a Presidential system over the past 75 years. The executive is basically the accountable party in American leadership. In this day and age, that's how it should be, with Congress being called to account every 10-15 years as it becomes too fat and cozy.
no one is going to buy your "Democrats have run Congress since Jan 07" argument. This ain't 1790. |
of talking because he wants them to just 'shut up' and allow him to ruin our country unabated or hindered by their concern that he is taking a not-so-good situation and turning it into a major catastrophy of epic proportins; so huge in fact, that it will adversely affect the next two to three generations.
He is a foolish, inexperienced young boy in a man's body. He, unfortunately has been handed - on a silver platter- way more power than he is capable of handling. And sadly, that power has been given to him by the foolhardy Americans who wanted to be among the first to put a black man the white house. Millions of people are going to be put through untold hardships with Obama as the most powerful man in th eworld. But this rogue black man who came from the South side of Chicago after hobnobbing with the Chicago Mafia and other nefarious criminal elements was the puppet needed by the communist left to perpetrate this treasonous act of instilling communist rule over the American Citizens. IT IS TIME FOR A REVLOUTION PEOPLE! WE MUST KICK THEM OUT OF OUR GOVERNMENT SOONER RATHER THAN LATER. |
I wouldn't worry too much about Val questioning your manhood...I would question her womanhood. She is probably twice the man Obama is lol. |
at this....he just might cry and have a tantrum.
I can gun sales going up in response to this latest round of activities. Civil unrest is about come unglued..
Some much for THE ONE to bring us all together.
Shame on you idiots who didnt do your homework and voted for this clown. If you had just read a couple of well referenced books that were out in 2008 you would have at least had the information to ask questions....and you would have understood the way this idiot operates. He's doing exactly as he has all along.
The media needs to be fired as well. They were supposed to help the people against the government, not side with them. |
The Dems have been in control of congress going on 3 years. Your buddy was supposedly a U.S. Senator for 4 years or so. Freddie and Fannie are liberal Democrat abused government organizations. The mess you're talking about is government induced, Which means all of them. |
14.5 million people out of work. How's that change workin out for ya? |
[[cicero appreciate your civic virtue. taking it to the street. this is the classical approach? what a fraud. what a punk. have fun with your crowd. its what you deserve, you mediocre clown..]]
Not sure why you've invoked the "classical approach", as I've always represented myself as someone who's read some theology and history, but equally as someone who is more than willing to fight tooth and nail.
But where's your piouspeak today, Mr. Mystic? And I wonder, will you ever be able to get through a post without calling someone some name, like, "fraud", or "punk", or (your favorite) "clown"? Your posts are getting quite monotonous. |
Paddy already once today offered to have d*ck Cheney shoot me. Kind of a weird insult to the VP in the bargain but young paddy was befuddled by an Alexander Hamiliton reference and I suspect reached for the the most applicable image to accompany his obvious repressed rage.
I ignored his statement but after perusing his "blog" I see he says nonsense like that all the time.
Sad. |
Yes I have one of those innocent faces too. |
Not me....
My guns must've shot somebody while I wasn't watching.....libs tell me that happens....
This is all news to me....really! I'm just sitting here polishing my halo...... |
Are you shooting people again? I warned you now give me that squirt gun, your grounded. |
"Ah the nobility" The ONLY form of hard work, shucks I never said that Val, Besides the Military the only hard work I've done is ranching, but there are other hard careers out there. " my parents did everything they could so that their childen could DO MORE with themslves in life" Lets see 5 out of our 6 kids graduated college, three are not in the family business three are. You know there are ways to get dirt from under your fingernails, and you can take your boots off before you get inside,so you don't have to worry about the dung. As far as being cute, never claimed to be cute, maybe ruggedly handsome, as far as a woman running this place like your mom did your's, sure it could be done, but why make a woman work that hard, my wife does plenty around here, it is time for us to slow done some and let the next generation carry on, no gun to their heads this is what they want,if they didn't want the place it could have been sold. I detect a little bitterness about your upbringing, sad, I have said always that I was the luckiest guy around with all that I have done, wouldn't change a thing. |
The separation of powers is very clear. The Legislators are responsible for the economy through writing bills and passing legislation.
Let us review the "MESS":
Jan 07......Unemployment 5.0% Jul 09......Unemployment 9.4%
2006..economic Growth = 2.7% 2008..economic Growth = .4%
Dec 06.....Dow Jones = 12510.57 Jul 09.....Dow Jones = 9427.28
Dec 06.....Nasdaq = 2431.22 Jul 09.....Nasdaq = 2010.49
Dec 06.....S&P 500 = 1426.84 Jul 09.....S&P 500 = 1016.88
What happened? The Democrats took over Congress & the Senate.
Yup, it is a Mess! |
Gotta love that uniting, bi-partisan feeling...
When are Americans gonna wise up? Neither Republicans or Democrats, socialists or conservatives, are gonna do the necessary things to create a limited government solution.
Americans need to get with the program. |
didn't President Obama ask his supporters to "get in the face" of the people not voting for him?
Glad to see people at townhall meetings are "getting in the face" of the people whose salaries they are paying.
And I don't remember anyone speaking out against the Sarah Palin is a c*** t-shirts at rallies, nor the screaming and yelling pro-abortion protesters.
So if the townhall protesters don't have the best manners? Tough. Man up, President Obama. |
Sorry I grew up on a farm and as I recall it my parents did everything they could so that their childen could DO MORE with themslves in life. Isn't that the American dream. Sorry people with dirt under their finger nails and dung on their shoes have long ceased being "cute."
________________________________________________
Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, an important part of our ancestors work ethic was lost.
Yes our parents always wanted their children to have it better than they did. However, they also wanted them to ACTUALLY WORK to achieve it. They always wanted their children to be ACCOUNTABLE.
Todays Marxist Socialists only want the better part and not the work & accountability part. They want things HANDED to them by the Great Government enablers.
Thus we have the people that we have today! Sad! |
Arise,American Patriots! Our Country is in Peril once more! Those who would take our Freedoms away are Hard at Work!Who of you will Speak out,not only for yourselves, but for all of Those that came before us?Many times our Country has fought off Tyranny in its Many various forms, our Ancestors speak out to be Vigilant against Those who would Rob us of our Hard won Liberties! Despots and Charletons will stop at Nothing to Bleed us Dry of all We Hold Sacred! Yea,they are at this Very moment Scheming,Planning,Usurping and Intimidating All who Dare to Speak out against their Tyrannical ways! Do not be Timid,Raise your Voices,Loud and Clear, that We will Never Give Up Those Freedoms ordained to us by The Bill of Rights and The Constitution of The United States of America! They will speak evil of US,they will lie against Us,they will use Tactics used by Heathens. But We Shall Overcome! Stand Up and Be Heard! Use the Truth Against Them and They Shall Fail!! The Time is Now! Never Give Up,Never Give Up,NEVER GIVE UP!

BK: As I have said before, BO is a "Cheap knockoff Hugo wannabe". Same MO!
Makes one think that he probably rather enjoyed the reading material the Hugo gave him for the trip home! |
haha completely off topic but you'd LOVE my son. He is alllllll boy. Loves digging in the dirt and helping pick tomatoes and zucchini from the garden.
At least he's active and outside though! I don't sit him in front of the tv to rot his brain.
Oh and there is no shame in farming! My boyfriend and I plan to do some ourself once we get married. Little bit of land and grow our own food. It's a noble practice and a fantastic way to live.
Val just can't get out of her bubble that says that everyone wants to be a Hollywood superstar.
Some of us like a normal, simple, complication free life. That's a real American Dream. |
get out of here with that, you clown. there were fire restrictions.
violence is the subtext of your political philosophy because you are too lazy to think and too undisciplined to practice the civic virtues. it always surfaces with you buffoons.
to the extent union goons are inhibiting free speech, i hate them. and to the extent teabaggers are inhibiting free speech, i hate them as well. this is how principled men work. you guys are just a bunch of bored fools. |
nothing "figurative" about it. you are a punk who wants to shoot people who disagree with you. even worse, a coward who is afraid to take moral responsibility for his advocacy.
Check out the video of the Tampa TH meeting. That guy in the ripped shirt being man handled by Obama's thugs is a fellow American citizen being suppressed buy an oppressive administration.Had yours truly been present the video would have been a lot more fun to watch.I am not a violent man as I believe most here at TH are nonviolent, but this administration is pushing hard at the behest of it's leader. We are sons and daughters of liberty and will not be intimidated by a bunch of union thugs from Chicago. It,s United States vs Chicago and it's already in the street,so stay on the porch boy the big dogs are playing. |
My mother was also very capable of running the ranch when Dad was gone. That fact does not make me prone to insult men, just for being men.
It also does not preclude me from thinking that children with dirt under their fingernails are "cute".
I'd rather have a dirty child who is learning about life than a sterile one who is clueless. |
Barney Frank and Chris Dodd? |
Ah the nobility, nay, the "humility" of working the land like serfs of old as if that's the ONLY form of hard work that has ever existed in the history of time!
Sorry I grew up on a farm and as I recall it my parents did everything they could so that their childen could DO MORE with themslves in life. Isn't that the American dream. Sorry people with dirt under their finger nails and dung on their shoes have long ceased being "cute."
Just cause you can milk a cow doesn't make you a "man." My mother was just as good at running a pig farm as man when my father wasn't around.
Every time the Kenyan opens his mouth, he mobilizes another legion of Conservatives.
Out of the doldrums of the last 15 years....into the streets with Bibles and guns.....and plenty of ammo.....(figuratively, of course). |
...BUT... no violence at townhall meetings before Obama's call out, and then union thugs start showing up...well. What say you, Marxist crapheads? You really want to do this?
"Hurt the guy down the street." Good one, Cic. |
The fellow who made that Obama as Joker poster was right. This man is insane.
Very sad for America.
The press will be accounted conspirators for not questioning. Sad for them too.
Stay vigilant, America. |
Videos like this should certainly convince the American people that they must speak up now. They cannot wait for 2012 to render this man helpless. People need to keep up the pressure and no matter how they are threatened by these union thugs they must continue to come out and show their outrage. I have a great deal of concern that the elderly will be frightened off. I hope that this will not be the case. |
appreciate your civic virtue. taking it to the street. this is the classical approach? what a fraud. what a punk. have fun with your crowd. its what you deserve, you mediocre clown.. |
Ignore the personal attacks!
It is obvious that most of us here on TH respect you. Don't let one poster get your chaps in a bunch.
Most people don't know the hard work of caring for livestock, but many "little girls" do. You probably have female children who have worked on the ranch. Why insult them by calling Obama a "girl"? |
WE WILL DREDGE UP every ACORN, MOVE ON< PINK PANTIES, GREENIE, etc. video
showing how VIOLENT you liberal parasites are in your protests;
YOU burned blocks of a city you burned and turned over cars you destroyed the property of no participating citiznes
YOU LOOTED AND LOOTED AND LOOTED AND LOOTED
JUST like you are trying to LOOT from the productive responsible citizens:
WE the 50% who did NOT vote for OBAMA and or the corrupt criminal congress,
WILL NOT LET you demented deranged freaks have more control over our lives, OBAMA will NOT tell us when we can live and must die in misery, or when he is going to slaughter our babies and seniors to enact the POPULATION CONTROL PLAN HIS CZARS are going to impose:
WE DID OUR RESEARCH:
THIS bill is not close to any HC reform:
IT IS 100% control over every aspect of our lives: |
leave the psychobabble to the left. it is one area where you conservatives have some seriousness and dignity. well, it was, anyhow. actually, there is a ton of psychobabbling from you creeps lately. so lame and pathetic. |
Sorry folks, this downturn started when Obama became a viable candidate for the presidency. Then, every weak spot in the economy started imploding or exploding, depending on the nature of the flaw. There would be no recession without that threat. If it is not eliminated, we will have a depression that makes the Great Depression look like a tea party.
We are seeing some positive indicators right now only because of the vigorous resistence to the socialized health care legislation. If we defeat this legislation, we will see more positive indicators.
It is only the threat of socialism that is causing the problems. It has nothing to do with race. We have been ready for a black president for a long time. We wanted Colin Powell to run for office, but he declined.
Best regards, Gail S http://backyardfence.wordpress.com |

He is an immature child boy who never really grew up. His blaming attitude and trying to control others (boundary issues as known in psychology terms) is evidence. |

writes today: ________________________ Headlines from Drudge this morning. . .
SUMMER '09... White House to Dems: 'Punch back twice as hard'... TOWN HALLS TURN VIOLENT... VIDEO: UNION THUGS UNLEASHED... PHOTOS... 6 arrested after St. Louis meeting... VIDEO... Physicians jam meeting in Houston: 'Don't want socialized medicine'... Tempers flare in Michigan... PEOPLE SHOUTING AT PELOSI IN DENVER... NOONAN: 'Democrats Look Desperate'...
Looks like we may finally have our revolution. At the very least, conservatives are finally taking it to the street, something they should have been doing a long time ago. The street no longer belongs to the liberals.
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina warns that Democrats will "punch back twice as hard" in response to further punches from the conservative grassroots. To which I reply: yeah, well, screw you pal. We'll hit you back so hard that it'll hurt the guy down the street from you.
Big Flush Toilet opines with a real humdinger of a blog entry here.

unprincipled crybabies. you stamp out all the rights of others, and then shriek like little girls when the President uses some vernacular to describe the problem--that you guys created the mess and are now gumming up the solution with noise and disinformation.
i mean, seriously, are you clowns autistic or something? your shrieks are getting to be funny. |

BK He sounds like a true wannabe dictator. Everyone stay out of my way and let me do what I want. ______________________________________________

Who the hell is standing in his way??? He has a house and senate full of dems and he can't get the effing job done???
Quit yer bellyaching, oh pied piper, aka COWboy President. You are not as lily white as you claim. Your side had as much to do with this as the previous admin, now pony up, COWboy. OWN THE JOB. Nobody is in your way. |

HINT
there are 300 million citizens in the USA

YOU WORK FOR US:
WE WILL NOT GIVE IN to YOU and your evil population control CZARS who what to end our lives when you say so and decide who gets to live or die in misery!
the revolution will continue:
SO MAYBE SELF annointed Dictator, you should shut up and listen to the 50% some plus who did NOT VOTE FOR YOU!
SOMETHING IS WRONG: EVIL: SINSITER:: CHILLING:: with a "plan" that you have to use Gestapo tactics, your ACORN vengence HOODS your SEIU citizen army to beat us into.
WE READ THE PLAN< EVERY WORD OF IT: |

" backwoods plato" "Perhaps its less of Obama being a girl, and just you not being man enough." Wow, Val is calling me out on my manhood, Jumping to your same tired conclusions like yesterday Val. Ranching is a very easy life I know obama could handle my life style, and work ethic, right. I bet I do more hard work in a week then obama has done in his life. but Val knows best, there is nothing wrong with throwing like a girl or wearing girl jeans or acting like a girl each to their own. Regarding my manhood Val, you really want to get into that piiissing contest?
Sounds like Obama is jumping into that Dictator role quicker than we thought. He forgets he is president of a free country and that is not about to change any time soon no matter what he wants. People keep coming out and keep pushing before this guy does anymore damage to this country. |
and Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid, to shut up and get out of the way?
I think he did. After all, he didn't name anyone...he just said, "the folks who created the mess." |
somebody would make obama shut up! |
are perfectly OK with union thugs intimidating and harassing town hall participants who dare to speak up against the folks who just want answers to their questions about 'healthcare reform'? The PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES TELLING HIS UNION LAPDOGS to "Push back twice as hard" against First Amendment protected questions and protest isn't using an intimidation tactic?
Patriotic Liberal-the mess Obama inherited is NOTHING compared to the further mess he's making already: unemployment is near 10% and is 15% in Michigan (did he not promise we'd never go above 8%?), the 'stimulus' bill has not created a single new job, the Green Jobs Czar has not created a single 'green' job (whatever the hell that is), Obama has spent more money in seven months than all presidents over our entire history as a country have (this is good how?), and Obama HAS DONE NOTHING to reduce the debt but rather has made it even worse (Is going further into debt in order to get out the way YOU manage YOUR money?), and now Obama can't refute the arguments made against his healthcare scam (since he apparently hasn't read it), so instead calls out the bouncers if the Democrat Congressmen are brave enough to show their faces to their constituents in the first place. Obama can run nothing but his mouth, yet you think he's the best thing since sliced bread. Geez.
Yeah boy, this is some kind of fun, all right! |
DEAR self appointed DICTATOR OBAMA !
the constitution gives us the right to FREE SPEECH !
THE CONSTITUTION gives us the RIGHT TO UNLIMITED FREE speech !
WE NEVER elected you dictator!
AS a SENATOR for 4 years before you became POTUS YOU CREATED EVERY PRESENT MESS;
and made it worse in the past 6 months:
YOU and your corrupt criminal democrat controlled congress created this mess and you as POTUS have advanced this mess;
YOUR OBAMA scare and YOUR GESTAPO tactics is NOT HC REFORM
IT IS a sinister, evil plan to take control of every aspect of our lives;
WE READ THE BILL, TWICE every WORD !
...an angry, petulant, spoiled, yelling, BRAT.
I couldn't believe my ears listening to this jerk - I originally thought he's coming off like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, but I'm thinking more now like Adolf Hitler - literally screaming at his audience. He's becoming completely unhinged as are the rest of the hate-America-first leftist liberals.
You sure don't sound angry to me. In fact I think you sound like a pretty nice guy. You have to excuse Val. She apparently is used to going for those guys that lie and cheat. Explains her worship for Obama. |
Coming from the man who as Senator accepted more campaign funds from FNMA/FreddieMac than most this a really the pot calling the kettle black. |
and for the liberals out there, I am not refering to his skin hue. He can't take any criticism. Just shut up and get out of his way. Sorry, Mr. President...that is not how it works in this country. People don't have to shut up and get out of your way.
is our Dear Leader acting like a 13 year old whiny little girl, but this is the absolute most unprofessional thing he has said to date (aside from his giving shout outs to Barney Frank in the Rose Garden. Yeah...stay classy there Barry!).
HOW DARE HE.
Hmmm...who just HAD to give those loans to people that couldn't afford to pay them back? Let me think...Oh! Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Frank. I believe they come equipped with big D's next to their names.
Kiss my @ss Obama. You sir, are NO leader. |
YOU OBAMA SHUT UP
YOU as SENATOR OBAMA in control of the democratic congress for 4 years before YOU were POTUS
YOU created the mess !
YOU WORK FOR US: YOU SHUT UP
WE WILL NOT give you control over when we live and when we die
and certainly not who will live and who will die:
YOUR OBAMA scare is NOT HC REFORM
IT IS a Dictator's plan to control every aspect of ourlives:
NOW SHUT UP and READ YOUR OWN BILL
IMPEACHEMENT begins the second we replace your corrupt criminal democrat controlled congress |
....Mr. President:
The folks that got us into this mess are no longer in office. And we are madder at you for making things worse than they did.
No, we the people will NOT shut up. |
are you the same Belle from four years ago? |
Vietnam, CRA, Great Society? Watch car sales tank, repos climb, and future stories about the lower middle class unable to find cars to buy. Yeah, Dems are economic genuises. Asset and wealth destruction does not create economic growth. The next mass destruction is children's items, books, etc., another congressional brainstorm to deal with large manufacturers importing crap from China, that in the end will benefit those same large manufacturers.
We have a shovel ready Putting America to Work project going on here in which they are paving the shoulders of a crappy patched up major road. I guess so when your government issued car runs out of energy you have a nice shoulder to pull over on.
He should shut up, he's been talking for 200 days, not counting the years before he became president. Even the networks are getting tired of his speeches, etc. The only experience he has had in running anything was the Anneberg Challenge (which an independent group found no benefit), and his election, which cost almost 1 billion dollars.
He is good at spending money to get what he wants. If you want to call it responsible and efficient, those words are being raped too. |
Sorry Obama's policies may or may not be right for america but certainly he conducts himself with more class than some backwoods plato like yourself. Perhaps its less of Obama being a girl, and just you not being man enough.
participation in the American medical system should be limited and well-defined. |
Didn't Bush Sr get in a bit of trouble for telling some vocal critics to "sit down and shut up?" |
He sounds like a true wannabe dictator. Everyone stay out of my way and let me do what I want. |
You got these Loons in the Senate, Congress and Whitehouse who caused this mess and now they want to clean it up? Marxist Socialists at work. |
...the email address at the White House to report something that smells like shiite? |
Obama is creating one big mess that will take years to undo. He had better slow down with his adulation of himself. He clearly believes we have reached the point of being a one party system. We have not and I think he is going to pay for statements like this in the very near future. |
The arrogance of this man is disgusting. His party had a lot to do with this mess. Look no further than Frank. Health care is not a mess as he claims. What he is doing is not cleaning up a mess but creating one. As his numbers go down he becomes more arrogant. He is making a big mistake, |
are tired of the BS, politicians are used to keeping the people in the dark, easier for them to line their pockets, let the people get angry about what a poor job washington does and the politicians call us a mob. |
Screw you, nobody in your party had anything to do with this mess, BS. Quit your whining, do the job you were elected to do quit being so petty and such a girl. |
..but cleaning up their mess sounds about right.
Nobel prize winning economist Paul Krugman put it best today when he cited the Norman Rockwell free speech painting. The man is talking in a townhall, and although others clearly disagree, they are letting him speak.
contrast with the yappers and shouting teabaggers, trying to drown out other voices. |
