Will Hillary Fold? Will Bill Quit? Never!
Posted by: Hugh Hewitt at 9:05 AM

Looking ahead to the fall:

The Indiana and North Carolina results followed the pattern of previous Obama-Clinton contests. Clinton carried the votes of white women in both states, while Obama won men in North Carolina and split them with Clinton in Indiana. Obama won younger voters, while Clinton carried the backing of older voters. Clinton won whites; Obama won blacks.

The Clinton-Obama campaign has deeply divided the Democratic Party along racial lines.  Obama's claim to be running a post-partisan race is absurd, and these cleavages show that he is perceived --within his own party-- as being an identity politics candidate.  In the McCain-Obama contest, the candidate of the center will be John McCain, and the key issue will be leadership for all Americans, not just those on the far left edge of the Democratic Party.

As noted below, however, with a candidate as incompletely vetted as Obama and a Rezko decision due within weeks, Hillary should go on to her wins in West Virginia and Kentucky and then wait upon events.  Right through the first ballot in Denver.  We wouldn't want a president who folded easily, would we?

"Her desperate hope is then to persuade the superdelegates to overturn the will of the pledged delegates and make her the Democratic nominee," writes Roger Simon at Politico.com. "To achieve this, she needs momentum, spin and fear."

On to spin and fear!

UPDATE: Betsy's Page urges Hillary to fight on!

For the children, Mrs. Clinton.  For the children.

You libtards here on this forum are simpletons and stooges. Try posting your thoughts on the powerlineblog forum if you want to see out of your league. (Laughter)

Chuck,

if there is a big spoiler still to come, as an American voter I would like it revealed. You sound as though the Democrats should work hard to keep Americans from properly vetting Obama.

It is best for everyone if as much as possible about each candidate is made as transparent as possible. Without proper vetting of all the candidates, Americans cannot make the best decision.

If Obama will not proudly state that he supports leaving the living victims of abortion to die on the operating table, then what good is he. Voters need to know where people stand and where they have lived their lives and what they have accomplished before voting.

I would prefer it not become a campaign about race. However, what are white Americans to think when they see that many black Americans put race first when deciding who to vote for. Are you going to blame white Americans if they decide that black Americans are right and that everyone should vote based on the color of their skin?

Will Hillary Fold. . . . . . .
Why is no one discussing why Sen. Clinton is staying in the race? I appears that she hopes that some "Catastrophie" will occur.

It is a shame that if the race can't be won legitamately, that it will be attempted to be won by any means dug up. Her persistence speaks volumes to me of her self serving agenda. She was not due the respect and support that people gave her husband. . .SHE DID NOTHING TO EARN IT!

Conspiracy theory
I think I figured out why the leftie loons hate the Clintons. After all these were the same people who defended Bill Clinton to the hilt.
The loons when off their meds are paranoid and believe everything is a conspiracy.
Remember back over a year ago Bill was somewhere giving a speech. One of the loons ask the question about the U.S. government planning the 9-11 attacks. Bill put the guy in his place and pretty much said that kind of thinking was nuts. He really did burst their bubble.
They will never forgive the Clintons. Becaue this is what the far left believes. They may not believe in God but they do believe in the devil. And Geo. Bush is the devil.
I'll bet in secret meetings Obama is very sympathetic to their theory.

Skep41...Dennis Miller Summed It Up GOOD
about the Clintons on Tuesday's broadcast. 'We just want them to go away. We want them to shut the F*** Up, for once in their needy lives. Go somewhere and get a real job, Sweetheart. You and your bizarre boy have worn the country out.' (Words to that effect, in that priceless, chortling Dennis way..)

McCain, listen up
Notice that the Republican candidate has no problem with blacks, hispanics, any minority? Gee, I wonder why? Not because it's one of the democratic world's most racist parties..oh no.

Arch says:
You are so stupid you racist bigot! Your democrat party is keeping the minorities down in their democratic determined proper place by promising them freebies for their vote and never validating them, only making it worse for them. You should rot in hell for eternity for what you have done to your own American citizens by using their votes to expand your power and keeping them too helpless and dependent to progress. You and your racist bigot democrats are the snake oil salesmen of the century. Aren't you proud of your ideas! Racist Libtard. (Laughter)

It is over for Hillary
It is over for Hillary and the crusade against Republicans is just beginning.

Democrats will rally behind Obama and unite against a common enemy, Republicans. By the end of the summer, it will be the Republicans fault that all that nasty stuff was said about Barack. Rush, Hannity and the other conservative talking heads will become the focal point of the Democrats anger.

Once united, the Democrats will have a great shot to sweep the White House, Congress and many state and local governments. It may end up being a clean sweep and the dawning of a new era!

Bye bye Hill-Rod
Was that whole Hill-Rod stupid or what?

Time to go. Couldn't agree more that the center candidate will romp.

Jon- some great analysis. Buyers remorse is wright (sic).

The left is going to need some serious medication after the fall election. They are truly diluted.

King Liberal....laughable...
It is funny... you have nothing better to do than spend your time on Hugh's website calling him a "third tier pundit"??

Oh, that's right, your calling yourself "king liberal" makes you more relavent than Hugh's national radio show, TownHall website, and his contributions on Cable Networks!

(And now I know why a one-term Jr Senator from Ill thinks he has more foreign policy experience than John McCain. ALL liberals think their more important!)

Not dumb ?
I suspect Hillary has some real bad trash on Obama. Otherwise she would just fade away. She's not only not fading she is putting another 6 million of her own money in. She said it right in the debate she is not dumb. So I'm wondering what's going on ?

Loose Ends tying Dems in knots...
Unresolved or Unexplored issues:

1) Michigan and Florida (technically giving Hillary the greater popular vote nationwide)

2) Voters over 65. 69% went to Hillary. What are the odds they will vote for a young inexperienced African American Democrat over an older wiser moderate American Hero??

3) Obama fully explaining the 20 year relationship with Rev Wright. Disowning him during his political campaign shows political expediency. WHY did he and Michele stay for 20 years (Oprah left... why not Barack?)

4) Investigating the FULL relationship between Obama and Ayers (the guy standing on the American Flag). The same guy who hosted a fundraiser for Obama at his home.

5) Investigating the FULL relationship between Obama and Rezko. The letters written by Obama on Rezko's behalf. The land deal securing Obama's home. The criminal case against Rezko and the fallout it will have on Obama.

6) Far-Left, Non-Action, Non-Partisan candidate. Obama does not have ONE piece of bi-partisan legislation to his credit. Obama is cited as the MOST LIBERAL member of the Senate. Obama did not have ONE hearing on his senate committee regarding NATO, Iraq, etc because "he was busy campaigning".

Obama is truly an unknown candidate to most Americans. After we get to know him - Democrats are going to have buyers-remorse.

Steiner Will Save The Day
Hillary is starting to resemble Hitler in the bunker as the Red Army closed in;between outbursts of self-pity and curses at the ungrateful masses, she wallows in fake scenarios hoping that some cataclysmic turn of events will save the situation. It aint going to happen. This isnt about Obama baby, its about YOU! The Democrats are sick of being bullied by you and your associates, they're sick of looking the other way as Chinese street vendors who dont speak English and cant vote donate the maximum to your coffers (although not any more, I'll bet), they're sick of your Horndog Hubby flying around the world collecting bribes disguised as huge inflated speaking fees but which are designed to buy benefits in the future Clinton III regime, they're sick of your phony anecdotes, your shrill voice, your know-it-all smarmy superior attitude...
Time to go.

Hillary is dead candidate walking
She is finished. She just won't admit it. I feel kinda good about it. Perhaps Obama is the stronger candidate. Perhaps not. I am a big McCain fan and hope he wins.

But if it ever came to choosing Hillary or Obama, I would take Obama.

Without hesitation.

I see why Hillary keeps chomping at his heals.

You are on NOTICE, Hugh...
Howard Dean has declared that any dialogue which is not specific to the candidate or his ideas is, RACE-BAITING, HATE, and DIVISIVE.

No more Reverend Wright. He is inconsequential to this race---Ooooooops, did I say race?

Howard Dean has spoken for the DEMOCRAT APRTY, Hugh.

You are officially on NOTICE.

Choose not to be a racist, Hugh. No deviations.
