It's an example of what I call the Hypocrisy Gambit here: [http://pentagrams.blogtownhall.com/2008/09/03/the_hypocrisy_gambit.thtml]
Although the left champions the right to privacy, especially for women, they will not show the slightest concern for a conservative woman's privacy. This is because they believe conservatives oppose privacy rights, and therefore don't deserve any.
Incidentally, this is a very telling illustration of what the left thinks about "rights". In their view, a "right" is not something a person has automatically (or "by rights"). A "right" is something you have to earn. You have to prove you deserve the protection of a "right" before the left will allow you to claim any protection under it. |

Shouldn’t Yahoo have culpability in this matter as well?? I think Yahoo should also be investigated to determine whether someone at Yahoo helped distribute the information to this group.
Of course the bigger issue is the invasion and smear of Gov. Palin, her family and friends. The liberal/Communist Party will stop at nothing to besmirch, belittle, and destroy who they think is a threat to their progressive movement and distorted way of thinking. What's really unfortunate are the many people who have bought into the lies that this party is disseminating. This is typical Saul Alinsky tactics. (Rules for Radicals) Lastly, where are all of the civil rights groups, IE, ACLU and others standing up for Gov. Plain??? Why are these groups so fast to march to the front steps of the Capital Building and protest the Patriot Act and the wire tap act that are designed to protect American’s from terrorists. I’ll tell you why; it’s a road to the Communist Party.
I hope everyone has the opportunity to read up on Saul Alinsky. We all need to understand that Barak Obama prescribes to this particular philosophy. If you haven’t noticed already, Barak Obama will attack his political opponents and than claim to be a victim of the very attack he is alleging.

"No wonder McCain doesn’t use e-mail! The guy is a genius."
H/T to Commentator Mike K at Patterico for that in response to news Sarah Palin's personal email was hacked! |
This incident is just another symptom of what ails the left. Their basic problem is that they have no conscience.
Oh, I know they actually pretend to be the only ones who do have a conscience, but they have turned the word's true meaning on its head. They seem to be unintentionally committed to becoming the subjects of the biblical prophecy which states, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness..."
Because they reject God, and therefore have no external moral compass, they base their twisted "morality" on whatever seems right to them at the time. This inevitably leads to a world view that is corrupted by the worst of human nature and vanity. They become increasingly self-important, taking on an "ends justify the means" philosophy, and then presume to lecture to the rest of us about "morality."
When a reminder of true goodness and morality, such as Sarah Palin, comes along, they must use all means at their disposal to destroy it. This is because if they allow true goodness to exist it serves as a giant finger pointing back at them and all that is wrong with them. They subconsciously know that their anything goes lifestyle cannot coexist with real truth and goodness.
This is why it is ridiculous to believe that some non-partisan utopia can ever exist. The way America is today, there are only two ways that political peace will ever be achieved. It will only come if conservatives compromise their principles in favor of those of the left (obviously unaccaptable), or if we utterly defeat leftist ideals. While it certainly won't be easy, I think the latter can be achieved if we can find a crop of Republicans who will stand up for what they believe and NEVER compromise. I think Sarah Palin is a great first step in that direction. |

Writes, "8 Year olds can hack a public account like Yahoo or Hotmail."
Sounds like you, Kevin, have experience at hacking email accounts. I sincerely Amanda Carpenter and the good folks at TH will forward your IP address to the FBI.
Bragging about hacking into other's computer isn't a bright move, einstein.
Also disgusting are the people who justify "break ins" as just politics as usual. It is not usual and it is just plain wrong. |
Can you read?
(talk about idiots....) |
And I'll bet you think Larry Flynt is a true independent too!
Also, Obama applauds you on your narsissistic display of arrogance. Your insulting those of differing views just might land you on his "Unity" committee. |
for for official use??
8 Year olds can hack a public account like Yahoo or Hotmail.
Only morons keep sensitive emails in their Yahoo account.
I guess Palin is one of them |
It's possible to make a good observation and not be insulting - try it.
That would be a nice little sting. I'd like to have another dan rather moment. |
Chad,
Let's assume for a moment that this act was not done by lunatic liberals trying to dig up dirt on Palin in order to help Obama. Let's agree for a moment that perhaps the culprits are anarchists.
Do you really think they have no political affiliation? I understand the concept of anarchy. But think about it. If these kinds of people vote at all, do you think they would more likely vote for McCain or Obama?
In order to advance their agenda do you think they are more likely to align themselves, even if only temporarily, with McCain or Obama?
You're spot on with that. I told my Obamaniac son, in regards to the liberal media attacks on the Palin family, that anyone who supports a candidate or political philosophy that would "inspire" these cretins to these cess-pool depths might as well leave the voting booth, go directly to the nearest Veteran's Cemetery and p--s on as many graves as they can!
I have been watching politics for many, many, years and I have never been as angry as this. |
I don't know how hard something like this to do. I am amazed that it hasn't been done more often to major political figures. Whoever, has done this to Palin should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. |
to ardently believe Obama hacked Palin's e-mail? There is no evidence, let alone proof, and hackers are a very closed society who are not political.
Also, what would any Democrat gain from exposing Palin's e-mails, which are essentially boring and shallow?
Is it possible to underestimate the intelligence of TH posters?
Clinton’s former White House Budget Director, Franklin Raines, pilfered 90 million dollars from Fannie Mae during his chairmanship at Fannie.
Did Bush prosecute him? Nope.
Clinton’s former Assistant Attorney General, Jamie Gorelick, looted another 26 million from Fannie Mae during her vice chairmanship at Fannie.
Did Bush prosecute her? Nope.
Why do the leftists engage in such unabashed criminal behavior?
Because they always get a pass!
that was really dumb on her part. To leave that type of info sitting on a huge public server like that - geez. It doesn't justify what these gutter snipes have done but that's what gutter snipes do. |
must be suicidal at heart. They want to be in charge of making the laws but relish in breaking them. The people behind this should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Libs are far from a majority in this country and your antics only disgust the very people you need to draw votes from. You folks really have some mental "issues". |
Nothing's gonna be done or said about this by the democrats or the Obama campaign team known as CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, NYT, or CBS. That's life as we know it these days. Get used to it.
Guess we know why Obama complained about McCain not sending emails, don't we? This is just the beginning, mark my words. |
Anonymous might easily be provoked into hacking MSM to discover and out hidden agendas.
Get'm to go after Olbermann's account. Ya just know hes in there having fits and bouts of paranoia. |
If that were true, wouldn't that actually PROVE that Sarah Palin really is a reformer? |
Two things stand out to me with this:
1. This election is starting to look more like an episode of Law and Order SVU than a campaign for president.
2. It actually says something about who Palin is when her personal email is hacked and the perps find:
-Baby photos -Correspondence from her kids. -Prayers from friends -Words of emotional support and encouragement from colleagues.
Face it lefties: the woman has integrity that is so rock solid you can't even rob, steal, and cheat your way to finding something to crack it.
The internet group Anonymous, if anything, are anarchists. They've no head, no chain of command, no organization...it's just someone that came along, got fired up to hit that account...and then get some rush/thrill/I've no idea once they uploaded the screen captures to the net.
Really folks...there's plenty of people gunning for both McCain & Obama, that aren't either dem, rep, conservative or liberal.
I doubt if the Bush Justice Department will do anything about it.
This is the same President that let Slick Willie’s National Security Advisor, Sandy Berger, off with a slap on the wrist.
Berger stole classified documents from the National Archives and then destroyed many of them.
What was his punishment? He paid a fine.
Numerous leftist government insiders leaked classified information to the New York Times and other media outlets during President Bush’s administration.
Did anything happen to the treasonous rats? Nope!
Bush’s Justice Department is a disgrace and the President bears direct responsibility.
If caught, the criminals that hacked Governor Palin’s account will probably never spend a day behind bars.
""as I undsetand it the hacker were part of the "old boy network" who decided to take a pre-emptive strike at McCain-Palin and their so called reform ticket.""
Does anything you do or write ever have any relationship with REALITY??!!!
Are you sure you're not just one of hal drunkahue's split personalities?
Your tenuous grasp of reality just slipped a little more.
LMAO! ©2008 Hal Drunkahue - Used without permission |
Did you expdect any different from the virulent lefty scumbags? Disgusting people should be throw in the gray bar hotel! |
Seriously, Satan is good with computers. |
and now this? What it's the next low? |
This is so outrageous!! I wish some of our representatives up there in congress would come out and condemn this immediately! Tell Obama that he needs to reign in his "followers". Blast this all over radio and television, showing the people out there that this is what democrat followers do when things don't go their way. It looks like the liberal folks aren't so convinced after all that their "messiah" can bring this thing on home.
And Obama cries of negative campaigning on McCain's part. Pa leeeze! What a crock! |
That may be the way you undsetand it, but time will tell..... |
Sounds like something Orin Hatch would do. Fbi should check him out. |
- Obama campaign attacks her - Hollywood attacks her - MSM attacks her - Witch-hunt over an at-will employee being fired - Obama campaign having her private social sec #
Now - violating her private email?
PLEASE, Fox News ~ Wall St Journal ~ NRO - Weekly Standard ~ and any objective news organization left... PLEASE shine the bright light on these cockroaches!! |
American Sweetheart's comments are spot-on. I am reminded of a WSJ article that spoke of Congress hitting new lows in approval levels as "grinding new bedrock."
We've been saying for years how amazing it is to watch the left devolve into an unhinged, chaotic mob for whom morals and ethics have no meaning....
They literally can not stand to be out of power...
It was never like that before the Clintons came along... |
This makes me sick that a family's privacy would be so brutally invaded AND to think that THIS party (DEMS)whose surrogates are behind it want to hold the highest office in the land. Just think what they would do with ALL the power (Executive, Legislative, and Judicial). Sarah Palin must really be a THREAT for the wacko libs to feed this low to the bottom. |
I do not understand how ethical citizens can call themselves Democrat and not be embarrassed because of what the party as a whole represents. |
...this episode says more about the type of people who are Obama's most ardent supporters than it does about Sarah Palin. |
When your prime objective, above all else, is the acquisition of power, hacking into someone's email account is no big deal.
How much you want to bet Olbermann leads with this tonight? |
Organizations and campaigns take their cues from the person at the top, and in this case that person is B. Hussein Obama. May the person who committed this crime be caught ASAP. |
because there wasn't anything 'objectionable' found. If there was something that could be used to hurt her Olberman would be all over it like a stray dog on roadkill. |
This is awful and beyond Ok.... I hope MSM gives this the press it deserves and shows how low the DEMS will go! |
....who post here will find nothing wrong with this.
Most conservatives I know make it a habit to do the right thing just because it's the right thing.
This is ludicrous to a liberal..... |
I swear, everytime I think the left has hit rock bottom they turn around and hit a new low. There is not rock bottom...just varying levels of dirt.
It is absolutely hilarious that these people are so low and they think they are helping Obama and they keep hurting him more and more! Obama doesn't need enemies when he has his own supporters! |
So I guess that pretty much negates Obama's derisive commercial about McCain's not using e-mail. |
The idiots who did the hacking probably deserve a nice pucnh in the gut...but at least they inadvertently helped the campaign. |
to what these desperate sleazy liberals will do, ooops I mean "hackers"? Unreal. These idiots, the dum dum media, and the NObama/Biden camp are effectively and efficiently walking McCain and Palin right into the WH. This will go down in history as one of the most amazing elections for two reasons. The turn around that McCain has made with this country, partly because of Palin, and the unbelievable downfall of the once promising (yet deceitful) NObama campaign. |
