Turn Around ...

I've got to echo something MKH said earlier today, because I think it has a lot to do with the results tonight. Mitt Romney is a much better candidate when he talks about business and the economy, and doesn't try to out-conservative everybody. I never bought his conservative schtick, because I don't think he bought it. But when it comes to turning things around, such as an economy, Mitt Romney -- the CEO -- is a strong candidate, indeed.

Still a full spectrum candidate
Mitt Romney is still running as a full spectrum conservative. He really started hitting the economic issues hard, but he hasn't dropped any of the others. He spent time talking to a crowd of high schoo students about social conservative values. He is still pushing his immigration platform. It is all still there. Oh and can I get a flip flop for Mike Huckabee. I don't think his latest conversion happened on the road to Damascus. It happened on the road to the White House. All of a sudden he is no longer in favor of a national smoking ban. Not to mention his newfound strength on immigration(that still only makes it part-way there).

No Rudy, No McCain, No Huckabee Romney and Thompson are saying the right things now, but haven't always. Hunter and Tancredo have been working on this for years on our behalf. Longer than most of you have been alarmed about it, they have been trying to sound the alarm. Choose carefully in the primaries, your future depends on it.

Probably right but
The one thing about Romney is that if he makes a deal, you can bet he will make good on it. He gets things done. It's not flip-flopping to tell MA voters that if elected, he won't undo all of the social programs they obviously want. It's a deal he had to make in a democracy and he was true to his word. He can cut a better deal with the American people and we can count on him to make good on it. After 8 years of Jimmy Carter II who took us full circle back to stagflation, we can sure use someone who means what he says and knows a thing or two about economics.
