Yes, if you take men as a group and women as a group, men earn more. But men do NOT get paid more for the same level, quality, and quantity of work as a female counterpart with the same seniority. If men did get paid more, everyone would hire only women... after all, if they can get the same work for less money, they would!
Also, in the case of sales commissions or when compensation is individually negotiated and you have to ASK and ARGUE for raises, is am employer really supposed to the give the same money to a female who hasn't sold as much as her male counterpart, or who hasn't asked for a raise?
Men get killed on the job more. I don't see that being a campaign issue. |

Close your eyes real tight and tell yourself that the mean old Secretary of the Senate lied about Ovomit and his pay for the womens on his staff, 'kay,'kay. You're a tool and Ovomit should really pay you. He's a hypocrit and you're a hypocrit. Perfect match. |

Perceptor II, it is NOT me above. I think Weasley Clark is a pathetic individual who should have been formally relieved in the Balkans. Any Joe touting Weasley Clark is giving the rest of us Joes a bad name.
Go join Stalin and Wilson you pathetic example of a Joe. |

1) You double-posted. No biggie, but still...
2) I don't care what his qualifications are, what he said is wrong.
3) Your argument is based upon an appeal to authority, a logical fallacy.
4) Apparently Obama agrees that Clark stepped over the line. So while you and Clark are supporting Obama, Obama isn't supporting you. |

And what evidence do we have that Obama has good judgment? Would someone please answer this question with a clear answer? Don't tell us what this guy "will" do. Give us solid concrete examples of where this guy has stuck his neck out, stood for something and actually achieved something substantial. What has Obama done except give a speech and said he was against the war? It's all words and no action. Wesley Clark is not running for President but when he did I supported him so I know what HIS qualifications are. What pray tell are Obama's? |

4-STAR Gen. Wesley Clark is RIGHT to point out that despite John McCains former P.O.W. status, it is more important to have good judgment (Iraq) and to be level-headed in order to lead a country.
4-Star General Wesley Clark was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University, where he earned a Masters Degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. During 34 years of service in the United States Army, Wesley Clark rose to the rank of FOUR-STAR General as NATO's Supreme Allied Commander, Europe.
In his final military command, General Clark commanded Operation Allied Force, NATO's first major combat action, which saved 1.5 million Albanians from ethnic cleansing in Kosovo, and he was responsible for the peacekeeping operation in Bosnia.
In previous duty, General Clark was the Commander-in-Chief, US Southern Command, where he was responsible for all US military activities in Latin America and the Caribbean. And from April 1994 through June 1996, he was the Director of Strategic Plans and Policy, J-5, in the Joint Staff, where he helped negotiate the end to the war in Bosnia. His previous assignments include a wide variety of command and staff positions, including Command of the 1st Cavalry Division.
General Clark's awards and honors include the Presidential Medal of Freedom, The State Department Distinguished Service Award; the US Department of Defense Distinguished Service Medal;(five awards), The US Army Distinguished Service Medal(two awards), The Silver Star, the Bronze Star (two awards), the Purple Heart, and Honorary Knighthoods from the British and Dutch governments.

Obama to female staff.
(played-out I know, but couldn't help it, sorry!) |

Advocating that the government step in and force you to do the right thing absolves you from having to actually practice what you preach. When it comes to having truly enlightened attitudes toward women and minorities, Democrats tend to believe their own hype a little too much. |

A legitimate source was referenced for this article:
The data were taken from the Report of the Secretary of the Senate, which covered the six-month period ending Sept. 30, 2007.
You can do the math yourself. |

says. He will contradict himself tomorrow or next week or whenever most politically expedient.
Obama stands for everything, or is that nothing. |

Obama talks a big game, but McCain walks an even bigger game. And an article I read says that Junior has a almost twice the Senate staff that McCain has. Who are all the extra people who are costing taxpayers about $1 million a year--his entourage...his posse?
What a lowlife. |
