From the WaPo:
In her most definitive comments to date on the subject, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton sought Saturday to put to rest any notion that she will drop out of the presidential race, pledging in an interview to not only compete in all the remaining primaries but also continue until there is a resolution of the disqualified results in Florida and Michigan.
A day after Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean urged the candidates to end the race by July 1, Clinton defied that call by declaring that she will take her campaign all the way to the Aug. 25-28 convention if necessary, potentially setting up the prolonged and divisive contest that party leaders are increasingly anxious to avoid.

love with her.
To Denver!
Buy popcorn and fire-extinguishers. |

Hillary is gradually being disowned by her party, a party that has moved decidedly far left. Don't be surprised if she starts her own moderate democratic party and runs on that ticket. If McCain, Obama, Clinton, and Nader are in the race, the electoral votes will go to McCain, then Hillary, then Obama, with nothing to Nader with no one getting 270 votes - do the math by looking at red states and blue states and for the blue states look at the primary and the polls to determine who wins which state. It takes about 45 minutes to review it all and determine that the House of Representatives could get this election if Hillary remains in the race as a third party candidate. Let's face it, the Democratic Party has moved so far left that there is room for a party between them and the Republicans. JamesB, OK big guy swearing makes you a man ? Thank God there's still some civility left on our side. |
|
So, you admit she's going to lose PA, you read her own very statements here (not Hugh's 'dreaming', but Hillary's actual words)...and yet you still think she's going to drop out? After winning both OH and PA...two of the most important states in the election?
Uh, James, just between you, me, and the rest of Hugh's readership: you're the one dreaming.
I won't purport to know what the margin will be in PA. But I do suspect she'll win there -- and I also suspect she'll go to superdels and tell them to take a look at where she's strong and where Obama's strong and ask them which strength will mean more to the Democratic Party's chances in November.
She ain't goin' anywhere -- and has already said that she'll do what it takes to get MI and FL counted. |

On with the dimocrat Death March to Denver.
Shall I attend? I could sit up in the balcony with Jimma Carter and Michael Moore. I am really sorry that blabbering tub of lard Molly 'hog-jowls' Ivins has checked out. Listening to her moan about the disunity of it all would be a concerto for my tired ears.
I would need a rain coat, a flak vest and a decent protective mask...like an M17 with CS Filters. Maybe a set of BS guards for my ears.
Anyone from Denver here? Is Denver PD at all like Cook County Sheriff's Office/Chicago PD, circa 1968? I would LOVE seeing KOSmonots getting their skulls massaged with PR32s. Oh the HUMANITY!

and inclusion? I thought the dimocrat party was a big lovefest, where, in the immortal words of that dimocrat sage Rodney King---everyone "gets along."
What happened to all of that? Man, this is rough.
Now, here is some really fun footage of another dimocrat brain trust, Sheila Jackson Lee, getting booed at the dimocrat convention in Texas.
http://www.khou.com/video/news-index.html?nvid=231349
They are upset, in case you were wondering, about Ms. Jackson Lee supporting Hillary Rod'em. I guess she is listening to the beat of jungle drums, and knows it is all about the clintons, that Hillary WILL have her way, even if there is not a dimocrat standing when she is done.
Did I say jungle drums? Is that racist? I will probably get a turd in my easter basket for that. Oh well. |

The cops here are fine, until you refuse to follow their orders or run from them. Then you get your butt kicked, and they are very good at butt-kicking. They like to use tear-gas too. |

ordering an end to the race? He should resign immediately.
HRC should more and more point out that were the dem's primary structured the same way as the reps was she would be an easy winner already.
And that the whole purpose of creating superdelegates in the first place was to prevent the Dems from nominating an unelectable candidate. |
|
be looking at:
General Election McCain-Obama McCain-Clinton
National Obama +0.9 McCain +1.2 Pennsylvania McCain +2.2 McCain +0.4 Ohio McCain +7.0 Clinton +0.3 Florida McCain +6.8 McCain +2.8
(Via RCP)
McCain thumps Obama is the key states compared to HRC. More votes for Obama in Berkley aren't going do help. |

At least Hillary is against a timetable for withdrawal! |
|
honey.
""GIRARDVILLE, Pa. - Former President Clinton said Saturday that Democrats calling for his wife to drop out of the presidential race should "just relax" and let the remaining states vote.""
Isn't it nice to see a loving couple that work so passionately for themselves, er uh the American People? |
|
The Gods are smiling on Juanito McCain these days. Howard Dean sees what's going on in Demville and Bubba/Hillary just aren't going away and behaving to please him or anybody else. It's all about POWER, Baaaaaay-Beeeeeeee!
Cotton & Clarity: Can Neo bunk on your living room floors between trips to the convention center to watch 1968 Redux? It's gonna give me 'yootful grad student flashbacks and I can't swill brew and smoke hemp like then, but COOL, anyway! Yeah, Baby, Pow'ah to de Peeeepuuulll!!

Hillary campaign donations are coming from Republicans. As much as your righty talk show hosts have bashed her since the '90's, she is doing you all a huge favor here.
I am not surprised since her husband ruined the Democratic party in the 90's by making it Republican (ie sold the dems out to the same corporate lobbyists your Republican representatives have enjoyed while screwing you over at the same time.)
I understand why you want Hillary versus McCain. If either wins, you still get your Republican president. |
|
No way, anti-intellect.
If you want to see Hillary pummeled, log in over at muffingtonpost.
For the time being, she is getting just enough support from us to stink up your soup.
May we presume, anti-intellect, that you will be joining the dimocrat Death March to Denver? |

visitor from Muffy-Arianaland and Kosroidworld?! |

Roger that....they are in free-fall mode now--lashing out at us when the perp is Hillary Rod'em.
Too rich; too good; too funny.
The dimocrat Death March to Denver continues apace. |

Politico-Hillary Rodham Clinton’s cash-strapped presidential campaign has been putting off paying hundreds of bills for months — freeing up cash for critical media buys but also earning the campaign a reputation as something of a deadbeat in some small-business circles.
A pair of Ohio companies owed more than $25,000 by Clinton for staging events for her campaign are warning others in the tight-knit event production community — and anyone else who will listen — to get their cash upfront when doing business with her. Her campaign, say representatives of the two companies, has stopped returning phone calls and e-mails seeking payment of outstanding invoices. One even got no response from a certified letter.
Their cautionary tales, combined with published reports about similar difficulties faced by a New Hampshire landlord, an Iowa office cleaner and a New York caterer, highlight a less-obvious impact of Clinton’s inability to keep up with the staggering fundraising pace set by her opponent for the Democratic presidential nomination, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.

Awesome post! You really nailed it! These people are delusional! |

I though gay was the new standrad for normal in the dimocrat party. Am I mistaken?
I thought the dimocarts were fr gay marriage, sex change operations at public expense and all of that.
For some folks San Quentin is punishment, but for a 'roid ranger like you I am sure it is Club Med.
Now go pull your pin-head out of your dimocrat feeding trough and check in with your case officer at muffington post. |

JamesB's needs. It is kinda cute to see the thinking expressed by the boy, though. The confidence that our side is(and, will be)disheartened and won't turn out for the election. Are you hittin'the koolaid again, James? The Repub tuurnout will be HUGE if either Lady MacClinton or Bazama is your nominee. And, ONE of them will be!! Additionally, there will be at least a 15% crossover to vote for McJuan from your side--I'm guessing a tad more.
Now,'hep me here, Son. What, specifically, do you see as race baiting, black hating crap from our side as you accuse here? And, please, save the PC Thought PO-lice nonsense. Just, reality.
The man is a 1967 Saul Alinsky Socialist-Pacifist who wants to...errr...Revise the economy to be FAIR to ALL and run from our successes in The War. So, who gives a realistic damn what color the man is?? Not I. Not anyone I know. So...? |
|
If she really does this - makes it a drag-out fight - she's going to alienate all of Obama's supporters; they won't vote for her if she wins.
I kind of hope she does get the nod, because the let-down of the young idealists and minorities will be much more profound and longer lasting than the letdown of the older Clinton supporters; the effect on the Dem party will last several cycles, if not a whole generation!

political wishes. For shame.
Let'um tear each other to pieces, let the blood flow, let chaos & carnage reign in the Democrat Party...OOOooops, I, sensitive fuzzball Neo, had a cynicism slip. I Feel better now. |
