Like the terrorists, MoveOn hides behind their women and children. I realize this is harsh to say and don't even believe it makes a good, fair analogy, but it was my first thought when I watched it. I mean, what kind of group uses a young mommy and her baby to make partisan smears?!

guess we want to have another 911 and then just surrender in Iraq. There is no draft, it is still an all volunteer armed forces. |
|
is anathema to everything upon which this country was founded and George Soros is a despicable and evil man.
He and this miserable organization represent all that is WRONG with this country. They can all go to h#ll.
I pray that I may live long enough to see this country finally wake up and destroy liberalism and return to its founding principles. |

Here's his original comment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFknKVjuyNk
Here's his commentary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJWoGulgbec
The tone of the moveon advert implies that the baby is going to be drafted into an ongoing 100 years war.
But it's clear he is talking about peace keeping and possibly peace enforcement if required by professional US military soldiers.
As for the original townhall meeting:
His off-the-cuff comment at the townhall meeting was clearly aimed at taking his opponent off balance by shocking them. The meaning I got from his townhall comment was that "it takes as long as it takes" which is just a truism.
----------------------------------------
Anyway, I thought US Presidents were limited to two terms of office ... so I don't really think that he will be drawing up military strategies in 100 years in any case ... |

...you know, maybe one started by a Democrat, then perhaps the ingrate mother would believe it would be a "just" war and then you could "have" the kid for that war. Nope...to Democrats, there is no such thing as a just war, other than pointless exercises like Darfur. If the Democrats have their way, there will be no Supreme Court, because we will be operating under Sharia law. |

He'll probably end up a dope smoking hippie who couldnt make it into the military. We dont like mamma's boys anyhow. |

You couldn't have put more clearly. I 4 yrs served in the Navy. Thank you! |
|
If Obama is going to stake his whole campaign on withdrawing from Iraq, what happens when he finds out he really can't.
He comes off like Richard Nixon, who had a plan for getting out of Vietnam that was so secret even he didn't know what it was.

I am a WOMAN and a MOTHER. I take great offence to Moveon to use a child and what appears to be a reall uneducated young woman for this ad. My sons will made a decision if they join the military or not. It's up to them, and they will be adults when they make that decision. When I was a young adult, I made the decision to serve in the Navy. My husband served his country in their army. Kimberly, the armed forces are not filled up with 8 month old babies and dumb moms. The ranks are filled with ADULTS who made the decision to serve their country. When you sign on the bottom line, your no longer a kid. |

I found this ad to be kind of a parody. It reminded me of the kind of ad where someone tries to sound casual in a commercial while talking about the positives of something that is unnatural to talk about....
the scene: two white suburban male neighbors are doing yard work, they spot each other and meet at the edge of their respective yards...
"Good morning Jim" "Hey John" "How are you?" "Well not so good. It seems the new law that BUSH SUPPORTS has a stipulation in it known as 'reciprocity extension of validation' that's bad for poor and middle class Americans like you and me." "Really?" "Why yes its awful. But BUSH and his CRONIES want to make sure it passes" "Gee, I'm going to call the White House right now and tell him that this is wrong!" "See ya at the BBQ John." "Looking forward to it, but first, I have to make a phone call!"
Paid for by a group of wealthy elitists with a cute name to make it sound like they are middle class Americans coming together PAC. |

Only THIS time, women aren't buying into the soccer mom mentality that worked so well for Bush in 2004. Nor are they buying into the new McCain illusion that he's 'for' women - not when he calls his wife the C-word, not when he stands in the way of a woman's right to choose, and not when his campaign fundraiser compared rape to the weather: "As long as it's inevitable, you might as well lie back and enjoy it."
Me: Do you have a link to McCain using the C-word towards his wife that doesn't come from "ScreamingMoonbat.com"?
Seriously, this sounds like an Obama supporter who is really afraid that the shabby way Obama treated Hillary is going to have some blowback. |

Forgot the link:

I may be mistaken, but regarding that "campaign fundraiser," wasn't he just some comedian who was going to serve as an emcee, the objectionable routine occurred around 1990, and McCain dropped him as soon as he learned about it?
This clown wasn't helping McCain pick VPs.
Kimberly, you're nothing but a smear artist. I keep thinking about the C-word because you keep bringing it up. Now, I can't get the association out of my head. |

Treat yourself to this link at Hot Air.
The comments are hysterical.
