eHarmony Forced to Provide Same-Sex Matches
Posted by: Chris Field at 1:46 PM
My friend Robert Knight over at the Culture and Media Institute just alerted me to this AP story:
The California-based company will begin providing same-sex matches as part of a settlement with New Jersey's Civil Rights Division. Garden State resident Eric McKinley filed a complaint against the online matchmaker in 2005.

Under terms of the settlement, the company can create a new or differently named Web site for homosexual singles. The company can also post a disclaimer saying its compatibility-based matching system was developed from research of married heterosexual couples. ...

In addition, eHarmony will pay the division $50,000 to cover administrative costs. It will pay McKinley $5,000 and give him a free one-year membership to its new service.
Knight said via e-mail: "Read: Christian-owned businesses must promote sin or else. Caesar is demanding it.  Anyone out there who still does not see the limitless tyranny metastasizing under the rubric of 'sexual orientation' laws?  Next, Catholic hospitals will be forced to do abortions."

I don't understand this.
So now the government is deciding what products companies have to offer? The product eHarmony created is specifically designed for heterosexual matching. As a user of eHarmony, I know that a lot of the questions they ask in their profiling will not apply to homosexual couples. Will they now have to create a new product and offer it as such?

This is like the government forcing a shoe manufacturer that specializes in producing dress shoes to suddenly start manufacturing bowling shoes and softball cleats. In a free country business should have the right to choose what products to manufacture and sell. I guess according to New Jersey, this isn't the case.

Why don't the gays start their own webpage! They might even make money! With that money they can build all the "trans-gender" bathrooms they have been demanding in NYC!

The leftist illuminati is now forcing companies to do things equally? I thought one of the best things about capitalism was that you are allowed to find your own specialization and stick with that. They shouldn't be forced to operate outside of that. It's asking for a business failure.

It was probably cheaper and easier..
to put up the new site with the same software along with a disclaimer than fight is out in court. It was wrong to give in, IMHO, but safer from a business prospective.

Simple transition...
for EHarmony...........

just add questions like:
for males....."Do you pitch or catch.....or both?"
for females....."Do you yodel in the canyon?"

Homosexuals do not want equality.
They want their deviant, unhealthy lifestyle taught and worshipped.

Synthe, you are beyond idiocy. Who cares about you and your hatred for Mitt Romney. Geez get over it.

Maybe the government

should begin passing laws about what behaviors are acceptable. Behaviors that harm society should be outlawed.

Another example of gays insisting that..
...EVERYONE must agree that they ARE NOT DEVIANT.

They do not want to be left alone. They want to be EXALTED! And they will not stop until every child is indoctinated in every public and private school and every church is forced to preach that homosexuality is THE SAME AS HETEROSEXUALITY.

eddie too writes: Wednesday, November, 19, 2008 5:43 PM
Why should people

tolerate human activities that spread diseases and lower human standards of decency?

Why should people tolerate the activities of people who constantly attack verbally, legally and physically other people who disagree with them?

Why should people tolerate the activities of people who reject the use of reason in civic debate?

Why should people tolerate the activities of people who lie and obfuscate to obtain power?

eHarmony
Homosexuals are not interested in tolerance. They are interested only in dominance, forcing everyone to pronounce their perverted lifestyles as normal and acceptable, equal to heterosexuality, and to be celebrated. That's why they don't want to start their own match website, but want to force eHarmony to do their bidding. If I ran eHarmony I would just shut the doors and turn out the lights as a matter of principle rather than comply with this diktat. But then, principle seems to be in short supply these days.

Bad Business
eHarmony has made a fatal business decision. They will lose potential clients and probably be out of business within a year.

eddie too writes: Thursday, November, 20, 2008 10:14 AM
eHarmony should realize

that if they abandon christian principles Almighty God and christians will likely abandon them and their business.

Their are many dating services specifically for Christians that do not cater to homosexuals.
Ken the Playful Walrus writes: Thursday, November, 20, 2008 10:43 AM
Even Some DemLibGays Think This is Bad
I have seen comments from self-described Liberal Democrat Gay people who think this matter is stupid. And I agree - it is probably cheaper for EHarmony to agree to this settlement than to keep fighting lawsuits. It is also easier for some people to pay the mob "protection" money than resist.

I wish people who filed these kinds of lawsuits owned their own businesses so that I could sue them for not offering a service or product I want.

Knight says: "Next, Catholic hospitals will be forced to do abortions"

Probably not. Here in Massachusetts the state tried to force a Catholic charity adoption group to place babies in gay and lesbian homes. The charity group shut themselves down instead. They had told the legislature prior to passage of the law that they would do this. Didn't matter, the homosexual agenda trumped finding good homes for orphans.

And liberals think they have the moral highground.

So it is more likey that the hospital would just shut down.

Demand...
...women's stores sell men's stuff and Big and Tall also sell stuff for the Short and Fat.

I cannot believe this decision. Is the court willing to take on the costs of business failure? How can they possibly rule this way? The man is a doctor who specialized in hetero relationship building. HOW in He**'s name does he supposed to develop a program for perverts??? This would also apply to marriage counselers, etc. This ruling is absurd and it should be carried all the way to the Supreme Court!!

These freaks want acceptance but instead they are driving away even people who were sympathic to them.

Welcome to Sodom and Gomorrah.
Alleycat writes: Monday, November, 24, 2008 3:11 AM
I am very disappointed...
...not only with the ruling in this frivolous lawsuit (there HAVE to be thousands of "Homosexual websites for dating"!!), but that eHarmony would even CONSIDER bending to this decision.

If Dr. Warren and Co. actually proceed to "accommodate" this pathetic excuse of a ruling, I will lose all respect for this man.

Better to decline to continue to be in business than to acquiesce to this Cr*p. eHarmony had a good run...perhaps it needs to close down and let people CLAMOR for its return.

OR...better yet, let Heterosexuals sue HOMOsexual websites to include Heterosexual dating services!! Why not?? Fair is fair, isn't it??
