Obama's Faulty Family History

First, Obama was making up stories about his birth to strengthen his ties to the civil rights movement. Now, it looks like he's revised some family history about his uncle to get closer to the Jewish community he's been having problems with.
Obama told a story about his WWII veteran uncle who allegedly liberated Auschwitz that doesn't appear to be true. He said this while campaigning in New Mexico on Memorial Day.
According to Obama family lore the uncle spent months in the attic alone upon returning to the US. “Now obviously, something had really affected him deeply, but at that time there just weren’t the kinds of facilities to help somebody work through that kind of pain,” Obama said. “That’s why this idea of making sure that every single veteran, when they are discharged, are screened for post-traumatic stress disorder and given the mental health services that they need – that’s why it’s so important.”
The problem? Auschwitz was liberated by the Red Army, not the American brigade.
This is at least the second family whopper Obama has told. (Unless of course, Obama's uncle was a member of the Red Army). If you recall, Obama's birthday family history didn't line up with real history, either. On a campaign trip to commemorate "Bloody Sunday" in Selma, Alabama Obama said his parents fell in love and conceived him as a result of “what happened in Selma.” "There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across a bridge," he said. "So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born. So don't tell me I don't have a claim on Selma, Alabama. Don't tell me I’m not coming home to Selma, Alabama." The problem? Bloody Sunday took place on March 7, 1965. Obama was born on August 4, 1961.

It's as though we are all watching this wannabe Emperor strut around claiming all sorts of wild things and every now and then someone points out that "he's not wearing any clothes!" This little article is another small voice crying out in dismay.
Alas, the throbbing masses will not hear her. They honestly refuse to see obama's "nakedness."
Their eyes will open only after he is in office and has made sweeping and catastrophic "Changes." |

It's called lying.
Obama is even more dangerous if he starts concocting stories about the timing of his conception. What else won't he lie about? |

Obama's father was a polgymist. He already had a couple wives back in Africa, when he 'married' Barry's mama.
So, the whole religion issue is offically off the table. |

This is the best you've got? Obama's got a LONG way to go if you people think this is a big gaffe.
I'll put this up against Bush's lies that have killed 4,083 of our soldiers any day.

its family lore. Every family has stories about uncle's and grandparents that get exagerated over time through no nefarious means. Half my family believes that my great uncle Irving died in battle in WWII. It wasn't until after my great aunt died that my father told me that he actually died in a motorcycle accident in England a full month before D-Day. My great aunt told the story so much she probably believed it and all the great grandkids believe it till this day. Nobody had the heart to tell her he didn't die heroically on the beaches of Normandy even though she knew the truth. I'm sure the same thing happened here. Heck, my niece will believe her father (by brother in law) had to leave baseball due to injury. In fact, he was cut from AA ball and couldn't make the majors. It happens, but I know how the story will be told through the family. When she runs for office in 40 years she'll tell the story and some right wing whackjob will call her a liar while excusing a Republican lie that leads to, i don't know, war with Guam or something. |

I am not sure which is the most pathetic--Obama's outright whoppers or those who justify them. It sure tells you what we're up against!
Also, My Pet Goat, what lie did Bush tell that got us into the Iraq War? You seem to be so eaten up with BDS that you will excuse anything Obama does. If Obama is the best your party can do, God help you and the country. |

If his father has any brothers (I don't know) they'd be Kenyan, and unlikely to have served in the US Army in WWII. As to his mother, it seems she's an only child.
There was a maternal great uncle named Ralph who served; that may be who he's referring to. But as already mentioned, the US Army never got anywhere near Auschwitz during the war. |
